The database is quite lacking in updates, and the field for the character name did not accept any input from the on-screen keyboard. Both of those were a shame, since the app is otherwise very, very good. If it got updated with the content that's been released, and the input bug gets fixed, this rating would be a 5/5.
This is a very helpful and well laid out app. But a few things could be adjusted: * Max HP isn't rolled for in 2e. The default should be maximum, with rolling optional. * When creating a spellcaster, all spell lists are available by default, instead of the class's list. This will be confusing for new players who skip the core rulebook and use the app. * It isn't clear how to add spells. Just found out you have to pay to level up.
Seems to have some kind of error that occurs if you leave the app open in the background - it wipes all characters to some kind of deafult state, and won't properly create new characters. Never saw this with the 5e app, so it seems to be a new issue. However, when it is working, it works well, making me bother people about playing some PF2e
After paying for the ability to export/import characters, I can only click on the options to restore a character, level up a character, and hit about. Very disappointed as the app is very good otherwise. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, do tell. If not, please direct me as to where I can get the purchase refunded.
Its pretty good, but seems to be missing a lot of stuff (lot of summoner eidolon types and others). The other big issue is that a bunch of options are not available such as resting, settings, or custom data. Its good for what is there but desperately needs the rest feature added back. Like their 5e variant. That one is perfect!
I've used all of Walter's apps from 5e, and they are all flawless. This is THE app for making characters for Pathfinder2e. Despite all the detailed rules for making characters, it executes perfectly. Bugs are usually fixed quickly, but I haven't found one yet. He's also really great about updating when new material comes out.
Really makes creating new characters a breeze. Very intuitive. The only problem I'm having is that it won't display the saved characters if I close the app and then reopen it. It seems to only be me though, so it'll be perfect once that glitch is fixed!
I tried a few other Pathfinder 2e apps and they were either still in 1.6 or whatever, or they didn't work correctly. (A quick way to tell if an app is still in playtest is to look for Touch AC. Its gone in 2e) So I created a level 1 character with no issues. So far so good.
They are currently updating the app and rules to be for the soon to be released 2nd edition of Pathfinder. There's a few errors such as typos and things not calculating properly, but it a great tool in helping build a character from scratch.
I have the Fifth Edition Character Sheet app, which is awesome, and which is why I had to buy this app when it came out. This app is still in development, so it doesn't have all the same features yet, but I can tell that there are plans to add them (importing and exporting characters, single click for a rest). Additionally, I *love* that this app includes spells, which the Fifth Edition app does not.
The app is nicely laid out much like the 5th Edition Character Sheet, but it's lacking full functionality. Some feats that grant other feats don't allow you to take those other feats and skips that part entirely. That is the most glaring in my opinion. But since it's still in development I have hopes that these issues will be ironed out in due time.
For everyone not knowing what this is about, this is for the recently released Pathfinder playtest (aka Pathfinder 2e). It works pretty well at creating a level one character, though I noticed for certain selections, the descriptions are either not present or incomplete. I'm sure it will improve as time goes on
Really great app overall. Useful for GMing and making NPCs. Though i miss other functionalities from the 5e one. Will update review with newer Features. Would very much like to see an expert to documents/printable version for both this and 5e. So that i can have multiple accessible at once while GMing.
Love it! exactly what I needed to get a character started in Pathfinder 2! Edit: there's been quite a few content updates since release and this app hasn't updated with them, it's a shame too because it's a a very clean structured app compared to the other one.
Very decent app that helps generate pathfinder 2e characters really quickly and on the fly. There's definitely room for improvement, but overall, I have no serious concerns with it.
Really great app. While it's love to see the option for the alternate rolled attributes added as a feature like in the core book, it doesn't really detect from the app which is very well put together.
This app will make mathfinder playable for me. Works exactly as described update: this app exceeds the last app, 5th edition character aheet for D&D. With the most recent update it now has spells with descriptions. It appears the author is working on gear. This could end up being the perfect character sheet app for android. I cannot recommend it more.
This app is not fully functional yet. I just bought the Premium version app because I love the original so much but when I went to create my character I found that there are only 9 races to choose from and Half elf is not one of them. (For some reason Leshy is). I could not get the import function to work either. Hopefully, an update will fix these issues soon but until then it gets one star.
Downloaded and upgraded immediately when i saw he made a Pathfinder app. His 5e apps were beautiful, and this one looks great too. Excited for export to work, and would love it to give usable PDFs for pregens for conventions or whatever. But as it is now, still easily worth three bucks.
This Pathfinder 2e app is definitely an upgrade from his D&D 5e version as it has more features in the base sheet that don't currently exist in the 5e, such as the spell list and collapsible notes. I'm glad to see the latest update includes focus spells, however you currently can't filter them by class; just by divine, arcane, occult, primal. 5 stars for being THIS amazing while still in production though. Maybe make the title "Pathfinder 2e Character Sheet" so it isn't confused with D&D 2e.
Amazing app. Well worth upgrading with the one time payment. Easy to use and simple to understand and edit a character. Am I right I'm thinking it is missing some content? I cannot find Shocking Grasp for the Magus anywhere. I believe it is a feat.
I haven't really had a chance to use the app yet, so I only give it 4 stars for my first initial interactions with it. I write this review instead to point out that this is a Pathfinder Second Edition app, not D&D. It's a poor choice of title, but many of the 1 star that only hate it because they think it's false advertising aren't warranted. It does mention Pathfinder for Copyright reasons in the description which should tip some people off that it's for PF 2e.
A good app over all for me, but has a very strange bug that it shuts off when you progress your character sheet from 18th to 19th level. I csught this as i was just toying around with the progression of the app.
For 1st lvl characters its great. But I really would like to level up my characters. Or even generate mid level characters to jump into games with. Hell, even leveling for theory crafting would be awesome.
Needs work, it wouldn't save certain things you input after the basic character creation even after paying for premium. Just needs to be as reliable as your 5th edition character sheet creator. If you can fix that then this is a 5/5 but till then it's bad.
This needs a LOT of work. you can't back up during making feats, you can't specift the number of spells prepared (Likely a holdover from the 5e version of this app), and adding homebrew content is less than intuitive, but the system works. It just works for 5e, not pathfinder. I see potential here, but it needs to realize which game it's for.
The character creation process is super quick and painless. Once you get in, there is a lot of useful information. However, the design needs some work; it's very loud and not always clear what you're looking at. Since PF2e is a lot of text, this app is impossible to use in its current state. There needs to be a way to collapse notes, maybe on a short press (moving the edit text action to a long press). The feat types should also have their own pages, and there needs to be a page navigator.
