I have an S21. The scroll button when selecting a song for a step is much to small to grab and scroll. I also need the option to stop the songs/playlists from repeating themselves like the iPhone version of this app if I want to rate 5 stars. There's a lot of features missing from the iPhone version that make it hard for me to love this app. Why can't I speed up the voice? Why is the step text cut off on the timer editing screen? What I do like is that the music doesn't stop playing otherwise.

I love the app. The flexibility and ease of modification are amazing. I'd give it 5 stars if you could somehow export / import timers instead of having to build them from scratch everytime you use a new device. Also, it would be great if you could define what counts as a "round" as all my timers have about 400 rounds even though there are only 10 rounds of 8 exercises.

I used the free version for a few months before realizing that the full version would be worth it to me. The many customization options and modes are great, and I definitely think it's worth the price if you're planning on using it more than a handful of times. I couldn't figure out how to sort and organize the different workouts, but the developer quickly responded with directions when I reached out. The only thing I would change would be a color selection wheel or more color presets.

I like the flexibility of being able to really customize anything I want with this timer, and the templates that allow some things to be done fairly quickly. I like the Text-to-Speech so I don't have to look at it for every interval. I would like it better if when I tapped in the field labeled "Exercise 1," I didn't have to backspace to delete all that before typing what I want the field to be called. But it's been very helpful.

Totally new to this, so I will update my rating if I see it's user error, but I thought, while I was drafting the custom timer I could go through it (not doing entire class but skipping to hear the music, but learned after I made a few changes, I had to pay to upgrade to hear my revised draft! I did, with needing app to work next day. Then next day I couldn't find it! It was gone! If it's there somewhere, or if I needed to "save" it somehow, it wasn't intuitive for me!

As a timing app, it's great. However, the fact that the app doesn't respect device settings for locking orientation is aggravating. Unless you lock the screen within the app, the app will try to find the "best" orientation between portrait or landscape, usually resulting in a constant swap between the two. However, once locked in the app, it locks all interactions and you can no longer pause, restart, etc.. The last thing I want to do mid-exercise is wrestle with my timing app.

Needed an interval timer that would run in the background on my phone - this app explicitly states that it does in the google play store, then as soon as you open the app you are prompted to get the paid version ($7) in order to save your timer or have it run in the background. False advertising and the paid version is way too expensive for such a simple function. Uninstalling.

Rather bad timing asking me to review after my workout, lol, but yes, v. Happy. Although surprised to have to pay £4.79 to use it, I've already made that back in the sense that it's way cheaper than a personal trainer! Not that I can afford one. Takes away excuses and procrastination. Takes away the thought process, keeps you on-track. No more messing around. Thanks so much for making it available offline too! :) so grateful. Nice to have the colour as well, motivating to look at.

Is a very nice app with a lot of features.I realy love the way that I can change songs on each exercise, is really helpful while doing yoga or any other aerobic exercises. There is plenty of room for improvement , like for example find a beter way to add the time, i prefer a ui. Also it will be nice if I could add a picture or a small video on each exercise before it starts (10sec) to show a preview of how we will do the exercise. Thanks !

To be honest, I was a little confused going into app. The limited access of free version made it harder to understand since you couldn't really play around with different features of the app. But after I got over the learning curve (and brought the full version), this app became really useful for doing HIIT workouts.

Pretty cool app. It can be used for other routines or activities as well, like a timer for brushing teeth, and the voice mode can even dictate the next task in the routine - so, yeah, pretty cool! Edit: It would be nice to be able to use the selected google assistant voice to speak the commands, but it only seems to let you use the default google voice. Also, how can I pull music playlists from Google's Play Music app, or other music players?

Practically perfect in (almost) every way! I use this so for some exercise, but mostly for keeping me focused during routines. It's absolutely fantastic -- all the functionality I need without gobs of bells and whistles to wade through ...... But it would be nice if there was a "bulk entry" mode for setting a bunch of different intervals. The interface isn't bad for 5 or even 10 different intervals, but it takes a dang long time huddled over your phone or going through their type-click-type-click online interface to enter 55 intervals.

PRO - APP works great, easy to set up, easy to create your own timers, very intuitive. CON - Drains your battery, even when not in use. When I check battery usage, Seconds eats about 20-25% every time. That's 4 or 5 times more than anything else, even the screen. Why? CON - App kept crashing, became unusable, had to delete and reinstall, seems to be working properly again.

So far this is exactly what i am looking for. My main objective was to make a HIIT workout that used different music for each excersise and a between set song. This app does exactly that. The only limitations are with music. It's not the apps fault but you have to have local music stored on your phone and point each excersise to the song or album you want. It's easy if you use a YouTube converter and save your fav songs. Loving this app.

Jam. Y. Feb 4, 2020

Did the upgrade for £4.79 to use with online training videos where they use this app too. By the end of a HIIT workout my timer was a full 9 seconds out of sync with the video. Developers are aware of the issue but not confirmed when it would be fixed. I like what the app does but at £4.79 I would expect precision timing, not "about right" timing....... If this is fixed I would probably buy it again but for now requested a refund.

Works as advertised. Can set multiple countdowns, intervals, etc. I use this for workout set breaks (45 seconds) for walking/jogging intervals (2 mins walking, 45 seconds jogging), and battle ropes (45 seconds on, 15 seconds rest, for 8 sets). Timer speaks over music and anything else on the phone to state midpoint, and 3 second countdown to next internal. Colors can be customized and counter can be set to full screen. I use it for every workout.

AK. B. Feb 8, 2019

I continue to use this app because it's indispensable but for the years I've used it, it has persistently suffered from the same issues. Namely: stuttering countdown (how did an app named Seconds manage to not even measure a second accurately?) and frequent app crashes on longer timers or when timers are running in the background. These issues have prevented me from springing for the paid version.

gar. May 18, 2020

The premium version is worth the upgrade. A lot of flexibility with the timers you can create. The biggest issue is that the interface is not that intuitive, and certain things should be more obvious to perform. However, play around with the timers and you'll see that this timer is quite capable.

Pretty good not perfect. It would be nice to have the option for an "end of timer" vebalization when programmed for meditation, otherwise how do I know when I'm done? If one selects the text-to speech option this can be accomplished but then one cant select the gongs to sound at each interval, which is vital to good meditation. If they would develop a setting that does both gongs has the end of each interval as well as text-to-speech at the end of the timer, it would be a perfect app.

Android user here. FIRST. Volume: the app doesnt allow me to adjust the volume of thr timer beeps, so if im listening to a podcast for instance, and i want to boost the volume, i also have to sacrifice my eardrums at the end of each timer. SECOND: The app, for whatever reason, is telling me "Timer is ready to begin" - when I'm done using it (and let it on the end screen). LASTLY: BEING ASKED TO RATE THE APP EVERYTIME I USE IT IS VERY ANNOYING. 500 character limit...functions fine as a timer.

Overall this is a great Exercise Timer. Being able to create/save workouts, label the exercises, and voice announce the next movement is amazing. The only reason it got 4 instead of 5 stars is because there's no option to control music behavior, such as lowering the volume from a music app (i.e. YouTube Music) when a sound signal is played.

Jon. L. May 24, 2019

A bit buggy when importing a shared timer more than once. It appears that a second copy is made in the UI, but deleting just 1 of the imported timers deletes all of them. Secondly, the UI isn't intuitive. Like, having to go to thr Organize menu to copy or delete is wrong. Being able to long press on a timer should do an action, IMO.

It would be great if the music does not repeat from the start when the timer starts. A big difficulty when I use the boxing Timer is that when the music plays and the time is up. It just restarts again once the timer is on again. It would be great when the timer starts, the music also plays where it was left off. Other wise a solid app.

Great app. But if you can add a folder within a folder option to organise timers better i will up my star rating. I use with some of my clients and it would be perfect if I could store in a format for example. Client name, area of focus (muscle group/s, cardio, compound, etc) and workout types. And an inbuilt screen cast option might be a good addition also. Thanks.

I have the pro version of this for iPhone, now I've switch to android I thought I'd use it again. Went to try it out before I upgraded to Pro again. I can't modify any of the timers. The wrong keyboard comes up , the symbol keyboard when i want to change interval time, & I can't do anything with it. Very disappointing.

Promising interface, but one massive issue... ***PROBLEM*** It doesn't run properly in the background! App seems to rely on keeping the screen on to avoid need for background processing permission/consideration. There's no obvious message to alert you to this shortcoming. ***UNNECESSARY STORY*** After coming across some surprisingly bad timer apps, I settled on this one to alert me when to walk/run in the couch to 5k (C25K) programme. I set up the timer (which involves a several sets of 1:30 runs), started the timer/session, and put my phone in my pocket, locked to avoid accidental screen touches and battery drain. My first run felt like it was going on forever, and it was pretty demotivating to stop before the beep signifying the end of the first set. Maybe I didn't pace myself correctly and I don't know what 90 seconds feels like... I then looked at my MiFit app (also running in the background) and that first set had been over 4:00! I'd been made to run almost 3x the length I'd input for my first set (and my left knee is really feeling it). Just to be sure, on my walk home, I did a test where I put in a timer for sets of 1:00 on, 1:00 off. I started that and then started my phone's stopwatch and put the display to sleep. By the time the first beep went off (AKA "1 minute" later) my stopwatch showed 3:48! ***LIKELY SOLUTIONS*** - At the very least, put in a notice to say that this app needs the screen on to work! - Make your app request background processing permissions? E.g. "REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS" - Test your own app to ensure the timers run accurately in the background on a variety of Android UIs (stock, Samsung, EMUI, MIUI?) - I guess you're using "scheduleAtFixedRate" or "setInterval" to schedule subtracting X milliseconds from the remaining time on each "tick" (which is scheduled every X ms). If this is the case, subtracting a new "System.currentTimeMillis" or "Date.now()" from the previous one would be much more accurate and resilient to background throttling.

The simplest but has all the bells and whistles I need to customize my own interval timer. Not to mention that for a one-time very cheap payment, I can have access to all of its capacity for all kinds of timers my different exercises beit running interval or circuit training. This app got you all covered in its simple interface and customability.

I am a professional personal trainer and I use this app daily for my boot camp and PT sessions. It is brilliant. Can type in the name of the exercise & different timings to suit each individual or class. Much better than losing my place on a whiteboard. I have this on my phone and tablet. Could not be without it. It's a game changer.
