Very useful. Wish it lowered my music playing in the background when it's talking. I does on my daughter's iPhone, but not on my Android. I bought a long instrumental song MP3 on Amazon, and it will play that itself and lower the volume during the messages. Or now that I remember all the exercises, I can play my own songs outside this app, and it's not that big a deal that the messages are a little hard to hear. I had to watch a video on you tube to figure out how to setup my exercises. Happy.
Generally easy to use and works well. The problem I have is with the tedious pop ups, like the 'rate this app!' pop up after every workout. It also has a pop up once you try to exit the timer you're on... Are you sure you wish to exit this timer? I can't find any way to turn this off. Finally it will open the first timer I made every time after launch, regardless of which timer I click on. I only use this for HIIT at the beginning of my strength training. I use the app for 15-20 minutes per workout with two timers. The annoyance factor for these issues varies depending on the day, but let's just say this is a timer that won't just get out of your way. It asks unnecessary questions, makes weird mistakes, and carries the unabashed needs of its makers.
Overall a super app that I luv. I wish to create a set of workouts e.g. 1st set for arms 2nd for legs 3 for belly etc. Each set contains multiple excerises. A REP + AMRP Timer would be also dope. All in One Solution ;) I do miss an opportunity (optional) to add a workout description, tho. Yeah, sadly no backup sync like Google Drive. Update: I knew it. After an Issue with my phone I had to reset it. Due to no back up option I lost all files. I'm mad as heck.
Great customer service!! I downloaded and purchased the pro version of this app because the workout program I follow uses it. I could not download the program's shared timers to Seconds Pro. Reached out, got a quick response AND a follow up!! They were able to easily explain what my issue was and then I was able get my shared timers downloaded to the app! (It had to do with the browser I was using. I switched browsers and it worked.....something I never would have figured out myself!)
This app used to be great; now it really only supports iOS. The frustrating thing about deprecating the sound settings that would speak the round titles is that it still works for old/imported workouts but you cannot set it up for new ones. Their workaround is to use Google Talkback, which reads everything on the screen not just round titles.
The functionality is great. It can be confusing but once you've got your timers set up, it can do anything, no matter how complicated the scheme you want to set up. I've been using it for many years. The only problem is that sometimes it won't start properly. It just shows a blank screen. I eventually found that it wants internet data before starting. Reported to developers: months later, unfixed. This is such an intrusive requirement. Why can't a timer app work offline? 😭
Definitely the best interval timer app. It's easy and quick to set up intervals of any kind, with the ability to nest timers inside each other to make compound timers. I have the app announce each interval with text to speech. It's flexible enough to guide me through everything from a mobility circuit to a threshold or VO2 Max workout. Very occasionally, it fails to announce an interval, but apart from that, it's a stable, reliable app, even on my old Motorola G3.
Solid app that's very accessible and easy to use. My singular complaint is that the text-to-speech feature ONLY announces exercise names in the pre-made templates, not for the personalized workouts, and that really needs to be made clear in the description. That was the only reason I paid for the Pro version.
I do not use it for sports and exercise but as a productivity app. If I need to allot a specific amount of time to work on something before moving on to my next commitment this helps me stop on time eliminating the risk of falling into hyperfocus and continuing to work. I use the option to have a halfway beep to help keep me aware of the passage of time. It is also perfect for anybody who uses the pomoduro technique - use the custom timer settings to specify work and break intervals.
Used to be a great app, but now it hardly ever works 😔 On opening the app I just get a white screen. Sometimes after trying several times I can actually get the timer up, and then it crashes after a few seconds. I would report the issues from the app if I could only get it to open, and stay open, long enough to do so.
I have tried many different apps where you can enter your own workout. This one is the best. It is so verstial and really good for any type of workout. The only thing I wish is that there were more colors for organizing different workout outs and that they weren't super close to each other on the color wheel.
Fantastic app. Totally customizable or use the pre-made routines. Can be used for any exercise routine that needs a timer. Voice on reads your next exercise. Voice off you read yourself. Alarm on or off. Customize each exercise with a color of choice. I do HIIT and use a different color for each kind so from a distance I can see what type of exercise is coming next. Every exercise can be set individually with time, color, etc. Different routines for each day of week can be created as well.
Free version is pretty much useless but the paid for app is very handy. Simply specify a time interval then write a quick line to remind yourself what you should be doing. You can create multiple time periods that will then count down one after another. Works really well for physio exercises. Good clear UI and easy to use.
Pretty good. I was trying to find a tool that I could use for creating my own yoga and meditation sequences. Got tired of YouTube doing yoga from YouTube videos, wanted something where I could do a silent meditation during certain poses, and didnt want to deal with bad audio that is common in YouTube videos, or an instructor that has you do something on one side of the body for 2mins, then they do the other side in 1min. Anyways, this tool is pretty good overall.
Very good fitness timer. IMPROVEMENT SUGGESTION: 1. Backup feature so you can store your timers and transfer them to another device if your phone is lost. 2. Search capability rather than searching folders & scrolling. It's a really good app but for a professional version these to suggestions should already be incorporated for the paid Pro version.
Freezes about a quarter of the time, other times notifications can't be dismissed requiring a restart, and finally has continued to run in background ringing out after each interval despite having shut the app down - never seen that before. would advise not paying money for this app. Have gone back to just using my watch!
I use this app for everything from floor exercises to sprint intervals. It goes with me everywhere as its on my cell and plays in the background if I'm listening to a music, podcast or audiobook. It is easy to create new programs and change them on the fly if needed.
Great program once you figure out how it works, could use a better explanation re the text to speech option To have it announce your move on anything more than a simple circuit, you must manually set its alert to text to speech
The free version is really only good to check out, whether you like the UI or not. The impossibility to save timers makes it annoying very fast. With that said, the full version is very good, I don't really have anything I could dislike.
Very good to customize timers of any length. Not perfect: ANNOYING: timer screen auto rotates to phone orientation when you enter the timer. You can set it to lock rotation once the timer starts but the timer doesn't start (and lock) until you push the start button so auto lock doesn't do anything for me. Why isn't there an option to stop the auto rotation?!
This is a great app!! The Betty Rocker recommended, its what she uses during her workouts. You can add so many different workouts durations rests. It's really cold you can go back and edit all your programmed workouts. I love it. Very user-friendly. I highly recommend this app
Good interval timer app, not as good as it's IOS twin. This is a much reduced capability version of the IOS version. No stopwatch, no countdown timers, etc. However it is a good interval timer, with the ability to randomise your programmed intervals. Oh and it occasionally won't open the first time.
would gladly put more stars but the counting is not accurate in Android as it was on my iphone back then. sometimes it is a fraction of second ahead, sometimes late. it is obvious when you hear the voice counting from 3 to 1. This lack of precision is very frustrating.
I'm baffled as to why there's no option to delete intervals, otherwise it does its job with no unnecessary frills. The text to speech feature sealed the deal for me, it's so useful with my abs routine that leaves me just a little time to rest between two sets.
