Secret Flying

I absolutely love this app! The only reason I am not giving it five stars is because I have yet to find a way to get notifications for flight deals leaving from my local airport or city. Some of these prices are VERY short-lived and looking at the app 2X a day in an attempt to not miss anything is wearying. It would be perfect if there was a way to select up to 3 cities, or even specific airports to receive notifications about. Otherwise, it is STELLAR!

Fun as hell. But after a while, it's annoying as you can't change the notification settings. I'm sick of getting flight notifications to weird cities in China. And I can't turn off Boston as a starting point... (I was there for a week, wondering where to go next....now it won't stop!).... Can't wait for the next update. I've done three round thr world trips since installing this app - all at amazing prices. I'm about to uninstall, and try reinstalling it.

Unstable on galaxy S8. When you login to create a deal alert, select all the criteria for your alert, once you click finish it goes to a loading screen and never comes out of it. When you restart the app, it wants you to login again and none of your previous criteria are selected anymore. Great deals though! I will just keep watching Facebook until the bugs are fixed.

Honestly, this app is unusable. I tried to sign up, and the app wouldn't save my information after multiple attempts. Then I tried to search for a specific city and country to search for flights. And the app wouldn't save anything I attempted to search for....therefore there was NO SEARCH. I was only able to view what was already posted. I could not search for anything particular to my interests. UNINSTALLED. Fix the app. For now, I will stick with Skyscanner.

Running on samsung tablet. Ive been using this app for a few months to search for bargain holiday options. It has found me a few deals, so it is probably working okay. I haven't used any notification options so I cant comment on that. As I'm in NZ I'm looking for a replacement for scotscheapflights. This seems to be a good option.

I can't pick the departure City only the country. if it's possible to pick the departure City what stage in the subscribe/ re-subscribe do I do that. So far the only origin departures I've seen is USA Canada and UK. Update (Alright finally tech support got back. So if you got this app and you can't find your city. On step 3 of subscribe/re-subscribe it gives countries. You have to CLICK on your country, then you can select an airport.)

One reviewer mentioned all ads, all the time. That is indeed correct. Pushes flight deals from all cities, except the one I requested. Blocking images just leaves a placeholder image, does not make for more compact, clutter free viewing. Have not been able to find any flights from my chosen city.

The interface, UI, and flight deals are all very nice. There are example dates and so many countries I didn't think about traveling to that I'm now considering. The only complaint would be at the times Secret Flying doesn't send any push notifications so I have to open the app to find out about a deal instead of being alerted.

Excellent concept. Terrible app. Sign up takes at minimum two attempts as the app will freeze up on the first. You will then continue to setup your alerts every time you open the app. After that you will realize it didn't log you in so you have to log in. Then it'll tell you there aren't any alerts setup, so you set them up again. repeat this each time you wish to use this app.

Fantastic app that can save you 100s on flights. When you search, just search deals from your country to anywhere, and you pick your destination when you see a deal that appeals to you. You probably won't find a deal if you already have your trip in mind, as the chance that a specific flight has a deal/error fare is very slim. But if you don't have a plan, you can just choose the cheapest deal to anywhere you can find and save huge amounts of money...

Just snagged $500 roundtrip east coast to tokyo - great app! FYI, the airfares show up on skyscanner, and when you click through a fare you get a choice of providers. Many of these have poor reviews; they seem to offer the discounted fares in exchange for purchases via debit instead of credit cards. So people have huge issues dealing with them, because they already have the money and the buyer can't contest via their MC or Visa issuer. So be sure to read the terms of the fare. I paid a little extra and booked my fare directly w/Air Canada for peace of mind.

ok it's new, it has a long way to go before it will be stable. if you think I'm going to press a button 600 times so i can put my birthday you're wrong, please add the ability to input the date in numerical format rather than selecting from a calender that starts with todays date. app just crashed when selecting region. I'll come back to it in when it's had a few updates.

No ways to remove ads and less information than webpage. The ads can not be removed any way and they block off the bottom portion of the screen. I would even pay to remove the ads. Instant uninstall for ads permanently blocking screen real estate. All posts do not have posted dates and it is much harder to navigate with the terrible app UX. Great website but terrible mobile app experience. I'll continue to use the webpage on mobile

unstable, logs me out all the time. pretty much unusable. created an account but doesnt store favorite cities, have to re- enter each time. every deal I looked up ( a.lot) turned out to be no longer available or ridiculous amounts of stops/connection time. way more trouble than it worth.

There's a lot of good and bad to this app. Good? You get live updates of travel deals from the airport or region of your choosing. Bad? You get live updates of travel deals from the airport or region of your choosing. I always want to be booking something now to travel to far away destinations!

I LOVE this app! I've already used it to book several flights overseas to dream destinations at unbelievably low prices! Thank you to the folks at Secret Flying for what you do. I wouldn't have been able to afford these amazing experiences without you! I tell everyone I know about this app!

An app that serves a useful purpose ... it saves me money!! I would like the ability to customise it more. Ie. setup dates that I'm looking for but it's free and ads not too intrusive. Thanks and keep up the good work.

It's worth having the app just to see the awesome deals they post! I pay $3.99 a month, get no ads, and have push notifications for the ones that relate to me. Useful factor: great. Entertainment factor: awesome!

One of the best free apps for identifying travel deals. The option to completely customize push notifications for deals from cities/regions you are interested in is fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Update: Tried the app again and did a find a way to subscribe to specific cities, but not nearly enough options or savings to compare with the pros in traveling. Checked out various deals and they're just not worth it in this app.

Great! I subscribed to Scott's cheap flights in September, but like 2 weeks later they stopped supporting international deals, (Canada in my situation) so I was on the search. Although I haven't booked anything yet this is a fantastic alternative

No deals here and rude Developer sent email expressing and confirming my original post. You push clients to buy, the upgraded membership simply for profit. The upgrade doesn't benefit the client at all, simply wasting time and my money with this app . I want a refund thus I'll be contacting my credit card.

Samsung Galaxy S8. I have contacted Secret Flying numerous times about the app not working suddenly. They basically told me I'm lying and no one else had this issue. I've seen other reviews here where SF told others having probs the same thing. If someone else told you they're having problems that means I'm not the only one having problems. I have contacted them and tried to be nice but they brushed me off. SF is a great app (when it works) but run by people with terrible customer service.

**Update: Even after updating city preferences, the notifications still do not stop** Should have the ability to filter by city. Live in Toronto why would I want to fly from Vancouver?? Possibly Montreal but that's why you should enable city-level filtering.
