Secret Santa App

These apps only have one purpose, sending the emails out to the participants with the randomly assigned names. I put the details and names and email addresses in and just constantly got the message, "emails couldn't be sent, try again later ", so for me, the app doesn't do the one thing it is meant to do. I switched and used another similar one and it worked just fine, this one was a waste of time, I'd give zero stars if I could.

Used this app two years in a row and it worked perfectly. However, this year I'm trying to use the app but its not working. I followed the instruction but when I try to send it I keep getting this message stating that the email couldn't be sent and to try again. Very frustrating. Its unfortunate this is happening cause I really liked this app, it was super simple.

I had to send 2, because the first one didn't send to everyone. Still waiting to see if the second one sent to everyone, so not even sure it worked yet. Some got their first one delayed at the same time the 2nd came out, so we can't even check the time to compare. Luckily i made a typo in the 2nd ones gift instructions so we cqan distinguish the 2 thqt wy. This is very stressful. So if you do use it, make sure everyone gets it, and if u have to attempt multiple times, make sure the instructions are different each time so you can tell the difference.

It doesn't do the one thing it is supposed to do! Once you have entered all the names and email addresses, and hit send, it asks for "criteria" in the form of a paragraph, but then it doesn't send the messages and tells you that "the emails couldn't be sent, try again." It doesn't make any sense, why does it need a criteria in the form of a paragraph? If anything, it should allow you to select your criteria from a predefined list of options, or customize it. And it should SEND THE EMAILS!

Great idea, terrible execution. Super simple, just input names and email addresses, push send, and should be done. But no.... Many emails didn't go out and turned the entire experience into a complicated mess. No response from developer when try to contact.

Used it the first time and it worked just fine. Used it a 2nd time and the recipients don't even receive the email. Uninstall then reinstalled and it ended up sending some people in the group 3 emails, and another person never received any email at all.

I was very excited to try this app. I sent the emails over 4 hours ago and only some of the people on the list received it. I tried again sending it to my email and other emails of mine (gmail and hotmail) as a test and nothing! Tried for a 3rd time and no emails yet. Very disappointed. Does not work.

It crashes at the first try of sending then it's fine on the second. I hope this gets fixed. Also, if the first try of sending failed, the optional description should still appear because it's a hassle to retype everything again.

Won't send email to guests. I installed the app, added everyone and clicked to send the email and it said it couldn't send emails try again. I uninstalled and reinstalled, put all the information in and tried again. It still didn't work. :(

Was quite and easy made drawing names much easier this year. Much better then out if a hat and possibly forgetting who you got. Now you can just look back at the email and you can sent all the info you need attached to it. Like price limits and due dates. Or when the event is happening

Entered all the email addresses, added the conditions, the app said emails were sent and to check your inbox, but nobody got an email. Have tried 6 times, tried uninstalling/reinstalling but just doesn't work for me.

Does not send all emails. We have used this app 3 years in a row, and always have to resend the emails once.or even twice because not everyone will receive their email, despite addresses bring entered correctly. Maybe next year.

quick and easy as described. but as a few people said: had some missing/not received emails, tried twice, same thing but different people got the email and others didn't? great idea, needs bugs fixed. Note 8

Works like a charm. For anybody looking for clarification on how it works, first you add all of you names and their emails, then press the send button found at the top right of the screen which will then take you to a screen saying you are about to send the emails, click yes, then it will take you to another part where you enter the information and details before sending. After you are done and press the check mark it will send out the emails. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER. emails sent to gmail accounts seem to take longer to be sent.

Great app. Does the job very easily and quickly. Could do with a reminder function where it remembers the secret Santa and able to resend email than sending a fresh round of email with completely different secret Santas. Overall a brilliant app.

I used this app last year and had no problems. This year, not everyone received their email. Still trying to figure out what to do. If I resend, will the people that got emails get someone else? I'm very frustrated. It's just an email. It shouldn't be this difficult.

Put in names and email addresses, but it wouldn't send them. Tried many times. No setup menu, no help button, nada, zilch nothing. Looks like a waste of time.

Half of the people didnt get the email and it gives nothing more than a box to put the names and a send button. Should be able to resend individual emails so that we dont have to pick again. Stupid app

I have tested it and it works. but somehow it couldn't sent the notification to gmail account. what I tried and success is yahoo&outlook account.. if the developer fix it then this app might be very awesome.. revised: I just received the email for gmail account. seems theres delay for gmail account

I thought this was going to make it easier for my family to set up our SS. But 3 of our whole group didn't receive an email. We checked spam and everywhere else. So we had to re do it. Currently waiting to see if it works. After the 2nd attempt, if it doesn't work we will not use it again.

Sent out two separate rounds of invites. On the second run only one person recieved the email. It doesn't seem like it's a spam issue as the person that received the email is using the same email provider as others that did not.

Terrible. I sent out the email for a group of us 5 friends yesterday evening at 6:30pm, and most of my friends didn't get the email even after waiting for few hours. So I sent it out again at 10:45pm! Again some friends didn't get that second email right away. Then this afternoon, the same friends finally got their email that they should've received at 6:30pm last night. Not a good experience.

I was able to see issues within minutes of using this app. I'm a software QA guy but simple tasks like deleting people and sending emails is just not working. Hope this can get resolved soon.

The app isn't great. I can't delete someone or edit the information. I have to go to settings and clear all app data to update any info. Also, you cannot resend out secret Santa list. If you hit resend, everyone gets assigned a new secret santa.

I have used this app for the past 3 years and I love that it is secret to even the person entering the information. It makes it a bigger surprise when no one knows who they have, including the host/hostess. Sometimes the emails are a little wonky and take hours to be received by all contacts, but it still works the best!!
