App used to work great until the latest updates when the ability to change Device Settings was broken on my S9. The latest update notes say this was corrected but the features still don't work for me. Developer hasn't responded to my support requests and my Pro license is now useless. Disappointed.
I bought this specifically for the USB tethering toggle...which doesn't work. I've e-mailed the author about it 3x in an effort to try and debug/fix, but he doesn't even bother to respond. To his PAID customers. Do not give this developer your money.
Rubbish. Displays settings in a massive unordered list with no option to sort, filter or search. Fails to change settings with completely unhelpful error message. Author has absolutely no idea about UX design.
You only realize you need it once you use it. - Tasker Shortcuts - Call activities from apps (most extensive app in that regard) - Connect to BT Devices .. other cool stuff And most importantly: ENABLE ACCESSIBILITY services w.o. stupid work around ! (Praise whomever you choose to pray to on regular basis)
Really used to love this app. I'm in oreo and the actions take a long time to take effect. Sleep device in particular. it's unusable. works the first time then freezes up. Had to uninstall. any help would be nice!
I'd give it a higher rating if settings were displayed alphabetically. Having hundreds of settings completely randomized without a search function yields it practically useless.
Bought it to disable app notifications via Tasker, but it doesn't allow to disable specific notification channel, just only on the whole app level. Based on update history, app seems to be abandoned, so it won't work for Android 10+
Battery saver option doesn't work. The plug-in doesn't seem to be working when turning on/off battery saver. Can turn on the Bluetooth but cannot turn off.
11/2/2021: UNINSTALLED! Setting PIN lock off\on while at or away from home is ESSENTIAL for me. App. not able to do so in Android 9 & 10, ANY FUTURE Android. Shame really. It WAS a FANTASTIC APP. Maybe Joaoapps could take it on - as he has with Tasker... (hint, hint.) STOP: APP ABANDONED! Update! (15/11/2020) This app should be removed from the store as IT HAS BEEN ABANDONED! by the dev. He's been M.I.A for ALMOST EIGHTEEN MONTHS! THERE HASN'T BEEN AN UPDATE FOR TWO YEARS! ---26/11/2019--- This update (7 January 2019) breaks A LOT of things! I've been using the previous version, which works fine. Will not be uploading until all issues are fixed. Dev. has been M.I.A. for a long time - which is not a good sign.
The January 8, 2019 Current Version 1.3.6u2 breaks with permission issues for me it worked prior to this latest version w/o permission issues. I rolled back and installed apk for 1.3.5 version found on the net works fine now and just need to never update this app until maybe next release assuming the permission issues go away.
Just paid for premium features and the very next day the app was broken. Can't now alter the always on display, got it working for 1 day only.
the setting/unsetting of the password feature claimed in the description does not work. I have sent an email to the developer hoping to solve this issue, but I have not received a reply.
One star reviews here are a little too overexaggerating. Okay, so the dev hasn't updated this app for nearly two years, so what? I don't see any negatives, the app still functions perfectly for me, at least for the things I use it for (e.g. executing app activities). So I don't think one star is justifiable, let alone having it "removed from the play store". Edit 1: The dude "Idle Surfer" below me really needs to calm his t!ts. Most features work fine. Edit 2: JFC these reviews are so stupid.
Activity launcher no longer works reliably in Android 10. Once an activity has been created, it only launches once, as long as you're still within the created task in Tasker. Subsequent commands no longer work.
I paid for PRO features, but it was waste of money.. I have Samsung A7 2018 and want to make task for AOD, but when task is executed I get error: An error occurred while executing Action: Device Setting!
I paid for the add-on to change device settings and none of the settings that I needed are there despite them being available for others. No response from the developer either.
AOD Mode still broken This is my most used system device setting through Tasker and its still broken on my note 9 running lastest security and updates. Please fix extremely irritating
Device Settings are broken in latest version, even when app is a device admin. From the logs: SecureSettings.ActionService: java.lang.SecurityException: com.intangibleobject.securesettings.plugin was not granted this permission: android.permission.WRITE_SETTINGS
Removed. Random arcane messages and warnings about things that it isn't asked for. Just a bit scary, to tell the truth. Gone from my phone.
No longer works for modifying Galaxy AOD after being updated, and has been in this broken state for a long time now, with no sign of a fix, not to the stable nor beta branches, despite promises from the developer. Avoid this app.
App was abandoned but perfectly functional. Dev came back and released an update that broke the app, then abandoned it again and will not respond to complaints. Use SecureTask instead.
Like everyone else, an update broke it and I keep getting error messages without a place to debug it.
This app rocks but no longer works properly with 2019 updates. Go to apkpureDOTcom, search for this app and download the previous version from July, 2015. All will be well!
I disabled camera via this app, but there are no option to enable it back! Others apps can't enable camera anyway, so it's a big trouble. Be careful with this!
"Secure Settings" has locked down the removal button on my phone & I cannot 🔓 remove! This is s psycho controlling stalker app. We're you person who stalked my car to moto services? You went in, so I drove off to petrol station to park. Second later following me down & parked up parrell, jumped out saying you could explain, only wanted to talk to me, then noticing my car 🔓 lunged towards passenger door to open it. I anticipated & hit 🎯 button to 🔒. You tried again to convince me you 😂😃🚗🚨
The updates in january 2019 broke the compatibility with root (system+). Lost 1 day to understand this....
stopped working recently for root permissions, busybox installation wasn't done any more, open busybox and install, re auth when supersu prompt comes up, working again.
excellent but latest update broken, reports i dont have root. rolling back to previous version fixes to problem.
Prior to the 7 Jan update, 5 stars. After the update on 7 Jan, 1 star. Nothing works, only errors are thrown. After attempting to contact dev 2x, sideload prev version and being unable to access the premium features I paid for, I'm reviewing 1 star and moving on w life. At the moment, I would recommend looking elsewhere for your Tasker plug-in needs.
