don't place apps on my phone that you're going to charge me for if I use. it would have been a great app and a benefit if you offered it for free as part of Sprint service it would be a value-added service. but since you try and squeeze every penny out of us you guys are losing customers. as a former Sprint employee I want to tell you all to never purchase the Free iPad. it's not free.
Never wanted this app but it magically appeared one day & repeatedly reinstalls itself no matter how many times it's removed. Have contacted Sprint about this multiple times, only for them to claim that a) it is not a Sprint product or b) okay fine it is a Sprint product but it's not installing itself and no one else has ever had this issue. Read the other reviews here to see how truthful THAT is. The worst kind of garbageware imaginable, obnoxiously forced down our throats. Avoid at all costs.
Sprint quit putting this app on my phone. You keep putting it on and I have to keep taking it off. Stop it and stop right now. And no it isn't easy to uninstall. I have to go to the Google app store and uninstall from there. It cannot be deleted right from the shortcut itself.
This software is DANGEROUS, it is automatically installed because of backroom deals with Sprint. There is absolutely no proof they are trustworthy, in fact, quite the opposite,. The app constantly warned me that I was on an insecure network, even though I was not, just to get you to subscribe. If they will lie to you just to get you to subscribe, why would they not collect and sell all of your personal data? Shame on Sprint, and whatever money grubbing exec decided to push this on us!
This is an app that installs itself silently in the background, Presents INTRUSIVE/ANNOYING pop-ups when you connect to WiFi, and to shut it up requires a paid subscription and reinstalls itself when uninstalled. Useless and deceptive by setting a VPN on your device after telling you it is NOT a VPN, most likely your grandma is unknowingly paying for this.
You're really starting to piss me off with this junk app. It shows up on my phone every week and every week I uninstall it because it's straight garbage. At this point I'm going to file a complaint with the FCC because The lazy incompetent invalids at Google won't do anything here about it with you adding it to my phone without any acknowledgment or any notifications. This is complete bull****at this point.
I never downloaded this App! It was there when I woke up! Unsecured network notices? I am using my home wifi! This wasn't even installed as a phone provider update, it was just backdoor installed without my knowledge! That's not secure to have it installed and active w/o permission.
THIS APP LIES ABOUT YOUR WIFI SECURITY TO TRY AND SCAM YOU INTO PAYING MONEY FOR SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T WORK. Automatically installed on my phone more than once? I don't care what or why, that's not okay and should be illegal. You can also get the same service, THAT ACTUALLY WORKS for free. This app doesn't even do what it's supposed to. And you want money for it? Garbage, sketchy, scam. There should be a way to block this app.
I randomly started getting notifications from this app a few days ago, every night at 12:30am. I uninstalled the app completely, still got the notification, I turned off notifications for the app, still received the notification....
HOW DO I STOP THIS FROM BEING REINSTALLED ON MY DEVICE BY THE MOBILE INSTALLER??? UNETHICAL. Backdoor, forced, push installation. Worse then simple bloatware, W/OUT PROPMTING OR CONSENT it becomes active & runs in the background. A marketing ploy, it tries to make ppl feel insecure so they'll pay for a WORTHLESS SERVICE. I only glanced at it before I uninstalled it the first time, but the next day I saw IT HAD BEEN INSTALLED AGAIN to take up space on & mine data from my phone. GRRR!!!
Like many I woke up to having this app push installed, turned on, and running in background. Forced push installation beyond Google play approval shouldn't even be legal, the app also wrongfully claims in home wifi networks which are secure, are not, which is false marketing. If this can be push installed who's to say malicious apps can't. I have made a report to Google with a bug and diagnostic log showing exact activity of this app from its installation period to its uninstall on my device.
Evey time I uninstall this app on my Samsung galaxy tab E 8.0, which I do not want on my tablet at all, It keeps installing itself every time I notice that it has an update. I hate that it does this. Please make it stop installing itself to my tablet every time it gets updated. 👎😡😠😡😠😡👎 The emojis truly show mad & frustrated I am about this >:( Also because I don't use mobile data plans and don't have any money for any service plans, this app is 100% pointless to me.
Useless annoying bloatware app. Everytime I uninstall it something called MCM Client reinstalls it. Everytime I come home and connect back to my internet I get a popup telling me to pay for the subscription service despite me unticking the box for the app to notify me of insecure connections
Sprint is just trying to sell this VPN for Hotspots...after reading the dex/apk this is for data collection with throttling /unthrottling features apps based ... Like their Caller ID, Sprint Complete, Music, etc, etc... They are pushing this app on their phones to compete with the one from their partner T-Mobile: Scam Shield
This app downloads itself onto my phone and I have no way of stopping it! I uninstall this app and it downloads itself back onto my phone maybe a week later. Very irritated!!
Flagging WPA2 AES WiFi as unsecure... Last I looked that's still considered secure. I'm removing worthless app Sprint put on my new phone by default... What Sprint has proposed in its response is understandable, but the PSK is 40 characters so I'm calling it just plain wrong (can the app see the keys or is it making assumptions?). Trusting a 3rd party without a contractual obligation or a data use agreement both parties agree to does not exist with this solution. Sprint is playing "man-in-the-middle" with the data because they control the keys and since they're not my keys then Sprint has access to the data, who would knowingly trust Sprint to protect their personal data?
Out of nowhere this app is giving me a high battery usage warning, prior to this I'm fairly certain it wasn't on my phone. what sociopath decided to force install this pos on our phones when we didn't ask for it, just to have it drain our batteries. Sprint, this was a bad decision on your part.
Slowed my phone (note9) way down and was killing my battery. I'm sure sprint will reply saying this app uses very little battery but my phone was running hot and battery was draining quickly. All is better once I uninstalled.
Like many others, this app was randomly installed on my phone (Galaxy S10+) without prompting me to install it. Very shady. Glad I'm not the only one who had this happen, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.
My experience was horrible every time I try to subscribe the app keeps saying account alert the owner needs to authorize the service sprint is so stupid to realize that I'm the owner it took 5 hours 4 hours from sprint complete and the technician didn't resolve the issue took another hour from a live assistant and he couldn't resolve the issue easy and simple sprint sucks!!!!
I spent about 2.5 hours on phone trying to figure out how to activate this app. Id click enable and then it said I'd have to get owner approval. Called sprint and they said it wasnt a feature available through sprint and I would need to contact my internet provider. I explained that made zero sense as the purpose is to protect my internet when on public wifi. Then I was told I needed to contact Samsung. No one seemed to know it was a product offered by Sprint and in the end the mgr hung up on me
Since upgrading to the Note 20 Ultra this app keeps insisting that I enable secure wifi and has a notification that does NOT go away. This app should not FORCE customers to enable the service that raises the phone bill. It should be the customers choice and clearly stated that by enabling the service it would raise the bill!
was finally able to purchase a subscription for the sprint app "sprint secure wi-fi". However. I purchased this to use the vpn but the vpn is not working. The slider switch for the vpn is on and i see icon at top when i am on wifi. But when i go try and check my ip address or a vpn verification webpage the ip does change and the vpn is noy verified. This is a sham!
Why am I constantly hving to manually connect service to a recognized network. Not making this app anymore user friendly as time goes on. Example: now I hv to physically be in the app turn wifi off and then on again for this app to protect. Man o man.
This garbage keeps installing itself on my phone. I do not want it, but no matter how many times i delete it sprint keeps installing it. It's worse than a virus, at least i know how to deal with those.
Something is not working .the green indication will not work. Working with TMoble and I have no network. Lost all communication. Keeps saying network secure. I lost all wifi and not connected to any network
This app. is useless! I've paid for & installed it twice. The push button will only stay on for a few minutes then it will turn itself off.😣 Says "Inactive" C'mon SPRINT I'M PAYING FOR THIS!!!
I guess it works? 🤷♀️ It says theres 2 reports but thats it. Doesn't show me anymore info or even where to GET the info. No customer service, no help, no explination of squat. I mean id like to know whats going on. Whos doin it How to stop it Or even what it actually is the program found. Ok great ya found it... but what NOW!? I dunno, very frustrating. May just go somewhere else. STOP MAKING IT APPEAR AFTER DELETION THIS HAS TO BE ILLEGAL. I DELETED IT AND IT KEEPS SHOWING UP AND ACTIVATING!
App downloaded to my phone now multiple times without my consent or approval. I have uninstalled it at least 4 times now. Stop! Installed again wothout asking. Please stop Edit: this app will not stop installing itself. I have uninstalled it now 15 times!
It is awful. It auto downloads onto your phone and does nothing. When you open it, the only action you can really do is buy its product that just "protects" you from connecting to sketchy wifi. The same can be done by turning off the auto connect feature for wifi. It serves no purpose but to get you to buy a monthly subscription for something a VPN can do except a VPN does more than just encrypt wifi. It also collects and sells your data so I keep uninstalling it every 2 weeks.
