It really seems like this application was shipped out with major flaws just to get the product out on the market. I've been testing software and hardware for about 20 years. This lacks intuitive fluidity. I would guess that it was not tester by a second party and instead tester by the developers. I've done everything possible to try to get the 4g to work and really love the idea of it, but until they bring in more developers to soften the ui and a team of testers, this app is not ready.
I don't recommend buying this camera it is embarrassingly bad. Can you guys make the exporting process faster /easier? It doesn't let the user to export video the view I want in full screen it is fixed. Something fell on my car and I can't export the upper angle because the export is on a fixed axis. I can see it while reviewing the video but can't export the camera angle. Your night vision is a hoax. I can't see any better than when it is in regular mode.
Everything worked great for the first 3 days. I Love that it gave me the option to mount upside down. So that's what I did to get the best view with no glare even in direct sunlight. Works best on a jeep windshield because the glass is not as pitched as a regular car. After three days the camera keeps showing upside down when I'm observing from my home in parked mode. When it reconnects with the vehicle using wifi direct it corrects itself because the vehicle is now in drive mode. Pleas help.
It was an expensive product. I bought in june the total after installation was over $600. Its hardly compatible with anything less expensive. It came with no paper instructions i had to use support it took me months to get all the info i needed after each let down i experienced. It is still in my car not hooked up. It is just very confusing to work. Even my friend is having trouble. Support is really nice and friendly but. Honestly i would not recommend this product to anyone. It is over priced
I've had my dash cam for a couple months and every time I try to go to live view or just to see some before videos or just to connect to it for that matter it doesn't let me, I've tried for hours on end, it sucks that I have a dash cam that I can't connect to, if I do connect through wifi it connects for about 5 seconds and I go to playback some videos, it disconnects. Sucks I cannot do anything with this thing I even updated my phone, 360, app and nothing. DOES NOT WORK AT ALL DO NOT GET THIS
4g connectivity is ahead of the market. Only reason I got it was 4g remote view and it doesn't have a large screen. Which is more discreet. App is easy enough to use. WIFI direct keeps disconnecting. Camera resolution and motion detection could be better for the price.
This is really difficult to use. Not only is it difficult to even figure out how to view live video or past video, I have no idea how to ensure that I can quickly record and retrieve video in the event of an accident. I bought the most expensive camera(this one) as a fake security cam at this point because I don't know how to use it well and I hope that it's presence is enough to scare away potential criminals.
Great product, support is bad, don't buy the OBD2 power cord, buy the hard wire kit,I had alot of false notification,it keep going to park mode when idling or in stop and go traffic with the OBD2,after the installation of the hard wire kit everything is ok, you would think support would of been able to figure that out, but I had to figure it out my self, the camera was working wrong because the ECM didn't sence speed (motion) so the the camera went into park mode,so any motion well in park mode
I think the export process could be improved by giving me more control on a proper timeline, or by selecting clips and adding them together. Otherwise the app works well and does what it does.
Total waste of money! A $19.99 dash cam or even one that you can win in a gumball machine is better than this junk!!! Camera is junk! You can't zoom in on a license plate to get the numbers. Customer service SUCKS! You will be better off getting yourself $350 cash, get on a busy freeway roll down your windows and toss that money right out!
WASTE OF MONEY! Product does not work as advertised. Save the money and purchase the Night Owl cam. Waylens Camera 360 degree view is great but on if it is functioning properly. This cam would not upload the updates, hard to get " TECH SUPPORT " to contact you back regarding troubleshooting the problems, Currently if cam is plugged in makes a hi pitch whining sound continually, & at this point I have unplugged.
The equipment and app is working as advertised. It was fun being able to install the camera on my own. Aside from the buffering time it is a cool camera for 4g connection. The updates to the app and firmware are helpful.
This camera worked 3 days and stopped. I reached out to customer support and they eventually responded. I was refunded my money back for the data plan and I will be taking the camera back to best buy. Not worth 400 dollars. They seriously need to fix this app. At the end of the day I'm not mad because I'm getting my money back.
I was told I would get a month for free I did not they gave me three days for free I was told that I could run this off of the Wi-Fi on my phone that it would the app itself would connect to my phone through Wi-Fi it did not it detects crashes that have never happened it detects bumps that have never happened it uses data when it's not supposed to use data this is really a waste of money I went as far as to ask them if I could pay each month but pay more to get more data they said they do not do
App/camera has not worked well for months. Have reached out to Waylens support with no resolution. No access to real time monitoring via 4G, so defeats the purpose completely. Extremely disappointing product.
Awesome app and an amazing camera! love how I can check on my car from anywhere and get alerts if anyone is messing with it. the support is top notch and they are always updating and fixing problems.
Not the easiest flow and access to camera data. Have to spend too much time playing around within the app to get wanted camera info.
I bought and installed the 4G device. Less than 2month, the remote wifi which i paid $100.00 for 12 months stop working and i can no longer remotely view the car when parked. I called their phone and got line not in service. Email them about the issue and I'm still waiting.For this, I think this company deserves a ZERO.
Their app is good but camers are expensive and waylens customer service is very poor. Waylens send me faulty dashcam and they were not willing to exchange, return or refund. Thanks to paypal they helped me and returned my money and they forcefully walyens had to exchange dash cam.
it would be much more stable and less tedious if the bluetooth connectivity was instead of direct WiFi
Downloaded app and it is 100% unresponsive. Can't create an account which is just great since I just spent hundreds of dollars on the dash cam system.
Horrible customer service they take forever to email you back. No phone support and the camera works when it wants to
slow playback - no cloud sync - app only works while you are inside the car - app ruined the cool camera
the App is a bit inconsistent. freezes stops working sometimes.
Most expensive trash I've ever purchased. Always install something before the return policy is over.
app wont update and uses nearly all my data trying to update. Great camera, useless app.

Not getting my photos when someone hit me.
Purchased the 4G version and, considering all features offered, am very disappointed. The live streaming and related features provided with the subscription just don't work, I can never access my camera even after cleaning cache and redoing the setup. The video recording is hindered in that the video is one continuous loop, forcing you to scroll from the very start, and even then the audio/video aren't synced. Way more gimmicky than useful, do not recommend.
