Tried using for DBS check, seemed to be working fine but then asked me 'verification' question. "Select which year you lived in London", then a list of years which all applied. Could only select one, tried the most recent and was told it was wrong! Now it doesn't recognise my email address so seems to have discarded all the previous info. Waste of time and data. Will try Barclay's Bank now instead.
app crashes on my phone.even though google play says its compatible. wasted a few hours messing about. borrowed another phone to get the app to half work but i could not verify anything with it. added banks and driving license, did a scan and selfie and still no joy. about as much use as a chocolate fireguard
this app is the worst app I have ever encountered!! it asks what card I opened in 2009!!WTH!! took 25 mins to complete!! and it's says you cannot be verified..I would not ever recommend this time consuming app!! Takes info from my phone without my permission and asks me a question like - which of these addresses are you associated and gives you that I have been to once in my lifetime- how the hell can I remember that!
If I could give this app no stars I would. It took ages to put in the information required only to be told I could not be identified! What a waste of time putting in accurate personal information, and also pretty worrying that it may in fact be for identity theft. I wish I'd read through more of the other negative reviews. I would recommend avoiding this app. If it was recommended to access your personal tax information via Gov.UK I would suggest using the alternative methods available.
Literally takes all of your details even pictures of you. Then confirms everything has gone through but then never acknowledges you ever creating an account. Very fishy. Wouldn't be surprised if this was a way of stealing identities. Very upsetting
Absolute garbage!! I had my phone in for repair, and reinstalled this app, but I cannot reactivate it! It asks me to scan a qr code, which I dont have!!
Worse than useless, gets itself in a complete knot and crashes. The FAQs have been written by someone without a working knowledge of the English language too - an absolute embarrassment to the government if this is, er, ‘approved’. But then, perhaps not, they couldn’t organise the proverbial p**s up...
on my previous phone (asus zenphone 5) the application worked perfectly. I have replaced the phone with a STK X2 and I now unable to run the application. I am unable to grant permission for com.mediatech.permission
Worst system, app and website, nothing works. It will say your email is wrong eventhough it's just set up and confirmed via email... Avoid, use a different service. They may be GOV verified company but they don't know s**t about how to make things easy or work correctly. 👍
Awful app.... Scanning is definitely not improved.... Now I'm stuck on step 3 with a malfunctioning app and a Web page with the back button disabled.... Can you recommended a better gov app and service? Thanks
Rubbish - doesn't recognise my uk marriage certificate and without it i cannot have 3 forms of identity to verify. Just wasted a lot of time setting it all up only to find out i cannot complete the verification process.
Literally no part of this app works. It can't even scan text. Great if you like giving your entire ID to strangers for no reason.
1 star is to high. complete waste of space on my phone. typical government attempt at making life easier for themselves and more difficult for everyone else.
Completed all the required fields & questions 3 times but still could not identify me... Operator help non exist ant... What happens to my personal data now I cannot register... Totally Useless...
Spent a decent amount of time putting in my details and scanning various items just to be told right at the end that my details did not match. Wasted my time, not happy.
This app doesn't know its left from its right, literally. It couldn't verify my identity. If you're choosing this from the GOV.UK options, choose another!
Ridiculous. I can't sign in online, because I need to enter a PIN on this app. But I can't use the app because I can't sign in to use the QR code. Its great you're secure, but what's the point if I can't even use my account?
Followed the link from the text, app downloaded and asks to scan a QR code that wasn't supplied. Tried to log into the website again but doesn't recognise my email & password
3 easy steps? what an absolute carry on. If I could give 0 I would, but the 1 star is for the nice customer service during countless phone calls.
I ignored the other bad reviews but i was wrong to do so. Waste time , choose verify from another source maybe Barclays, Post office or experian. The scan option will never work after wasting time going through steps installing the app youll realize eventually you will have do it manually. For manual verification you need 3 pieces of evidence to enter. They should just ditch app and say this from start. Dont use this service is my advice, waste of time and extra stress.
