SecureLine VPN

I like the program, however, the Avast Antivirus has problems. It keeps saying it's working when it's reported that it has an issue. I go into turn it on and it says there's another app that's obstructing and not allowing the phone to recognize the command given. Please fix this issue before the time of my subscription runs out, or I will seek another program that has no such issues. Thanks in advance.

I haven't used it extensively, but I find it extremely ridiculous to have your customers pay for quite the premium and only allow mobile phones to be able to use the VPN service, but force the same customers to pay for an extra subscription fee for their desktop/laptop versions. This should have been included in the Premium Security version. Pairing with your desktop will not work unless you are paying for that subscription, and only instead gives you the option to install their AV. No thanks.

I'm a paid user and I've been using Avast for a few years. My subscription is up for renewal next month. I'm considering dropping the service due to it being a major drain on my phone's battery. Many times I can't connect to websites. I have to disconnect in order to access websites leaving me vulnerable with no protection. For me, the subscription price is expensive and I expect better for the money & would like everything included with it instead of at a separate price.

My only complaint is the auto renewal. I would prefer that decision be strictly in my own hands. I live on a fixed SS income and don't know what my financial situation may be on the day you take money from my bank account. I have several Avast products and worry that on a particular day it may be a very bad time to automatically take money from my account. There should be a yes or no choice when ordering a product from Avast!! Obviously I prefer a notice that it's due so I can decide!

I purchased the Avast Ultimate Bundle which supposedly includes SecureLine VPN on 10 devices, but when I use the mobile app, annoying ads for games keep poping up, & there's no way to stop the ads. I've already paid for the apps, & the Avast mobile apps also trys to charge me again. I'd so rather watch a progress bar, than have a loud obnoxious add that won't let me skip or cancel out of. Please change that for paid users! Thank you!

March 2022: Its a good service... only drawback is I have to switch it off to be able to watch UK streaming services, even when I have the VPN setup to an IP in the UK. May 2022: I am having to downgrade my review. There is no improvement to my prior comment. The VPN does not automatically re-engage when my connection drops, despite having it set to auto, leaving me unprotected until I notice it is not active. I'm now looking for alternative VPNs which also have anti-virus features.

Avast are money hungry sods, all they want is money, money, money, money.& more money. They keep saying" You need this, & you need that, and the other stuff". Well this guy has had enough! I don't use secure line enough for the price they charged me, they took money out for a one year subscription, which I just canceled, and I see they don't do refunds, so I paid NZ$74.99 for something I don't want or need. Because I am on a pension, I cannot afford too much money to come out of my account for something I have no need for!!

The issue I'm having with this app is that it keeps disconnecting! Not a very secure system. I didn't even get any warning or message about any problems going on. It happened twice. Hope it doesn't happen anymore. Please look into this issue or I may ha e no choice to look for another von.

Never auto connects like it's supposed to! Want to be invisible for certain surfing? Manual connect. Check after and it is no longer connected! Have trouble shooted with Avast? Gave no help at all... With Google Play Protect working with Avast! VPN I have a decent acting smart phone. You can do this one app on a phone or PC Tower or laptop. It is not "sticky". BTW my devices are rather current, I can't state on anything 2019 or older. My moto g stylus has a 2.2Ghz octocore as an example, the Stylus {2021} model.

Never had a single issue whilst streaming my favourite movies from the countries listed. Best VPN I've tried and trust me I've tried a ton. Only one issue and that is Avast trying to up sell me apps I don't need.

It's okay, there are a lot of severs to choose from and its very easy to use. The biggest issue is the extremely slow speed dropping down to litteral 20 bytes of data a second. I have a plan purchased and it doesn't change much. The VPN will also randomly bug out sometimes and disconnect and say "connecting..." until I reset the app. Otherwise it works when it works, but will bug out and be slow randomly.

Very secure!!! I have not been hacked in the years that I've used Avast products. I suggest everyone get the 5-in-1 package. It provides security for up to 10 devices. Also, the customer service is excellent. They were quick to respond and expedite any challenges. I've had them over 10 years and they only get better each year. Save some money and purchase the multi-device option! You won't regret it.

As soon I started to use it I notices some problems. Wasn't sure if it was the app. It always cutting of from automatic connected. Often it disconnects itself. I cannot watch live news of bbc anymore as it blocks it. And I pay TV licence. Just more hassle than I thought. Even I am not sure if it does any good as I cannot proof the good part of it.

VPN works, but auto connect often do not work! I have to switch it on manually every day, I am very disappointed. VPN for desktop works much better.

Haven't been hit by anything bad, so I'm assuming that everything is good. Just renewed and have had mulitple problems. Currently, I've changed the settings to off, but the actual VPN will not close. Very dissatisfied with the product now. Can't stream any movies thru NETFLIX, Amazon, etc.

VPN suddenly started blocking a shopping site I regularly use. Cannot figure out how to fix the problem. Also, it slows down data.

Used for years and fully paid on mobile and laptop but many UK TV channels are detecting the vpn and as a result unable to watch. This has happened in the last 6 months

This app will not allow Netflix or Prime videos to be shown on this device. I have to disable THE AVAST VPN before these two providers will show any videos. This means that I can not have anything on this device that can be hacked by crooks.

Dropped a few stars on account that it won't let me in to some of my apps. I can't even get in to my cricket app if secure line is running. Turn secure line off and I can get in just like that. Don't see anywhere to give permissions to preferred apps. Other than that I've always used avast for everything like clean up and security.

Netflix Prime ... says - i detected VPN please turn it off etc... This software is worth 0$. Doesnt work. Period.

Great VPN. I have hospital appointments every two weeks and if I forget to turn on the VPN Avast does it automatically. And, when it's on a trusted network it automatically shuts itself off. I had another VPN prior to Avast at about the same price and it didn't do that. Great program. Thanks.

When it is on it works very well. But for some reason it won't automatically start up whenever you turn on your phone.

It's a good app overall. But sometimes, at home, it slows down my internet connection on my phone and tablet. I don't know why, and it just does it randomly. A little annoying, but I just have to turn it off to get my connection speed faster again. Would I get it again? Probably not, if anything I would just be more careful with the internet I'm connecting too.

Works well on PC. Not on mobile. Long loading times and I often get: This site can’t be reached DNS address could not be found. Diagnosing the problem. DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE
