Overall, Average simple app. Very basic. Similar to most PI banking Apps. Usually is accessible. Dislike the sudden password change every several months, which has been proven to be redundant and unnecessary and does little to nothing for security Options for recurring monthly transfers to other banks is sadly not available. Lack of latest mobile security options like biometric is needed, considering my other international banking apps have had enhanced security for almost a decade.
Works fine! I love the eSecure savings where you can open a virtual account to manage budgets or save up for a project. It earns higher interest, too. SB to SB fund transfer is seamless. SB to other banks is safe and secure, as it should be. The only thing I would love to see is be able to pay bills using my enrolled credit card.
it was nice and convenient. problem now is, my account has been deactivated. and the branch doesnt know how to fix it, been going there for the past months na but still, deactivated. it happened when sending the OTP, after twice of trying to input the CORRECT OTP, it has been deactivated. and it's been 5 months now. 🤦 i hope you can do something about it.
app won't open. even with good internet service, it's gonna say that you have a bad connection. tried opening gcash and union bank app and they open right away. it's not happening all the time, it's jus annoying that it happens on the times that you really need to use the app. i hope you guys do something about this. it's really frustrating.
I'm so frustrated because it said my password expired and had to change it yet it wouldn't let me. I had to go to the bank to have it reset but the email they sent with the temporary password already expired so now I couldn't login. Too aggravated and too busy to go back to the bank. I had to do the same thing when I first registered for it, though at the time the people at the bank managed to sign me up. Customers shouldn't have to go to the branch just to sign up or get a password reset.
I like the banking service but this beta app is always under maintenance, forcing me to reopen and use the old one. I have to re-enlist my accounts in favorites. The info doesn't sync in beta. Instead of ease, it's very time consuming. It's a bit disappointing, I hope it won't take long for this app to improve. For now I'll give 2-star rating for my experience.
For having a statement saying "You deserve better" we do deserve a better banking app than this. I do not recommend this at all since I could not log in without having the prompt connection error popping up on my screen even with a strong wifi and a stable data connection. It really is disappointing that when you needed to use the app the most, it wont even let you sign in nor give an notice about the system update if ever there are any. Please fix this. It is very frustrating every Log In.
Just downloaded it and after a few days I can't log in anymore. Tried basic troubleshooting but it doesn't work. I'm getting an error message about error connection and to check my network settings. I've done that, I'm sure the problem was not my mobile network and certainly not the internet. Please fixed this or atleast send notifications if there's a problem with the app. Even in the website can't do much, can't even transfer to other banks.
User interface is disappointing. Doesn't even provide an option for QR code generation for easy transfer of funds. App doesn't show credit card statements and transactions that were automatically converted to installment. All in all, the app does not serve it's purpose which is to be a platform where users can conviently view and make transactions online. 👎
"You deserve better" yeah, you're right about that. we deserve a better alternative i guess since this app does not only delay my ugrent transfer, and also completely doesn't open or let me transfer at all. the loading is slow, the app takes too long to send OTP making my session expires only to wait again for it to happen.. it's a loop. :(
After noticing that the app can't identify my SMART cellphone number when reloding, I've decided to uninstall the app, for any chance to fix the problem. But as soon as I've reinstalled it, I can't login in the app nor the website anymore. It always proceeds to the "Password Retrieval" and nothing happens. This has happened today. Please, fix this!
I just downloaded and it's completely useless. It wont even let me see my account overview. I cant do online transfers or online payments. Ive been security bank customer for over a month now and i havent even seen the app work properly. Its a waste of memory space on my phone.
Literally the worst. It took almost a month for them to approve my online account and now that it was finally approved, I cannot log in beacuse they won't send me the damn OTP. The session expired and I don't want to try to log in again as I'm afraid they would lock my account. How frustrating.
Very trashy app. Ugly user interface. Very hard to use. Does not have fingerprint authentication. And u have to change the password very so often. Needs a lot of improvement. The ugliest banking app so far.
There's always a delay when they're sending the OTP. And, when it came in, it's already invalid or expired. Then once you try it again, they're going to block your account for invalid login attempts. Seriously Security bank???
This app is so disappointing. Comparing to other mobile banking apps, this is the worst. It takes too long for the credit card statements to update. Example, I make payment today, it will reflect a week after or more. It doesn't also have a QR code feature for easy transfer of funds.
I'm new to this bank, and I was excited to get started until I used this app, and I have to say it is ugly and very basic. It doesn't even have a biometric option for loging in. Also, the password requirements do not allow you to use special characters.
It is already inconvenient as it is not to be able to transfer funds to other banks online and can only do so via this app. All the more frustrating when the app usually crashes and transfers cant be done. WORST BANKING APP SO FAR.
If i can give zero stars i would! These agents i contacted could not even help me. They keep me waiting , the site have endless issues, the app doesn't recognize my details, my challenge answer was locked. Simple problem like account locked and still they could not troubleshoot? The customer service is horrible! Please do something, Security Bank! I dont want any of your excuses!
This app is still the worst!!!! Whenever I'm trying to transfery my money, it seems that it keeps on holding the funds to be successfully transferred!!!! This is still the worst of all time! I wish our company would change to another bank. What a ridiculous app that you have here!
Fails when you need it on emergency times. Takes so long to log in after you i put your security pin. Takes so long to send otp. And takes so long to load up account info such as balance, and options when doing fund transfer. Worst banking app.
It's been two days and the app wont let me login completely. It always says Invalid Login (even though it was the correct password) There was an instance where i successfully logged in but It times out easily.
Worst online banking app I have ever had. I cannot access my Online Banking now, it shows my password has expired but when I'm trying to change it, it will give me an error stating "Old Password Invalid". I haven't change my password yet so how come the password I'm entering is Invalid. Is there someone hacked my Online account? Can you please help? I already sent an email but still haven't got any response.
I don't really have a problem with the app since I'm a tech savvy myself. The only reason why I gave this one a 2 star is because on how the customer service assist us. Whenever there's an error charge on your account and you provided already alot of proof they would just reply the same thing about a dispute form which has a payment for processing. I already experienced 4 charges on my account that never got back into my account.
This is the worst banking app ever. It's not even user friendly. It takes too long to load and sending OTP and email for verification takes minutes before you can receive it. Plus, enrolling your card which is supposed to be simple, was being complicated by this bank. I don't think that I would recommend Security bank to my friends especially your app because it's not very accessible.
