This app needs some work. A lot of bugs. The app kept glitching today the whole time while writing then kept getting an error to try again later. Please remove the character cap and just charge neccessary stamps. Also, please give stamp balance history. So we can verify everything was charged accordingly. I don't like pictures are two stamps now. 😒 The workaround for Characters just made it so inconvenient because your system does not cut off when it goes over. (I copy and past from a notepad.)
This app is the worst. Bugs bugs bugs. You have to peck type. Why not swipe? It locks you out if you take too long to type a message and deletes the entire thing because there's no save button. Why have a draft folder if you can't save it? Now it won't even open. I've Uninstalled/reinstalled... Still nothing. Bring back jpay, it always worked. I can't respond to emails for how long?
Needs updated!!! Ever since the merge with J pay, the app is not user friendly. It doesn't give predictive text, spell check, no punctuation, it's just not user friendly and securus does not want to fix the issue. We need to go back to the way J pay was doing it because it was easier, more user friendly and less problems. I could sign in with J pay using my biometrics on my phone but can't do that with securus.
Not user friendly. DEFINITELY not accessible to those with disabilities. Very clunky. With what they charge, you'd think they'd have a better app. FYI developers: there is FREE INFORMATION ONLINE about making your stuff accessible! ADA provides it! Get it together! You're working with a government entity, which means you have to be held accountable, too!!
Once again, this app has proven to be the worst. With as advanced as technology is, you'd think this app would actually work. I've been trying to update my payment info for 2 days now. Evertime I submit, I get an error message. I've tried to add it through the app and via website. I'm about out of stamps and I'm not happy about not communicating with my loved one because I can't add my card.
Overall it's okay, but every now and then everytime you try to get into the app, it keeps on saying error please try again later. I would really appreciate it if you guys could get it fixed, because it's getting really annoying.
You can't use voice to text and when you use swipe, it doesn't auto caps or auto space. Super difficult to send emails. It almost makes you not even want to bother with it
Update. I somehow created myself 2 separate accounts and was charging myself. I have however figured this out with help few people in customer service although comical . They were helpful and gifted with common sense so far. I am getting better at understanding this app as well. I'm gonna have my 1st video visit and I will update the level of difficulty after. ;Difficulty level easy to use grateful for the video visits. I gave it 5 But today I'm giving a zero stars 2 visits beyond my control
It's okay. Could be better constructed. Very expensive services compared to surrounding counties, prison communication app. Closes often when in the middle of sending an email. It Glitches out often. Tonight for example, after recieving the "could not send" pop up 4x DURING the writing of my message, the app freezes. This stops me from sending or saving as a draft. Apps are supposed to make life easy. I wrote my letter and had it in the mail fast then this app works most days.
I am not able to accept phone calls anymore. The call comes and I hit "1." The robot keeps going through the menu and not acknowledging ANY numbers I press. This has been going on for almost a week. When I call Securus, they keep trying to say it is a privacy setting on my phone. It's not. Everything has been fine since last Monday. Videos are also ALWAYS delayed. I pay for 20 minutes and it never connects until at least two minutes has passed. This is all very frustrating with zero support.
This app ask for way too many permissions from your cell phone. It should be criminal to be required to give that much free access to someone's personal device. As much access that I would have to give Securus just for the privilege the use there app I might as well go ahead and give them my password to my phone and password to my bank account on top of that. Immediately uninstalling this atrocious app. Do better Securus
Their service is horrible my line keeps getting reblocked for $4.71 direct bill balance that I paid over a month ago!! Now I'm being told I have to wait an additional 3 to 5 business days for a ticket to be fulfilled through their back office. I understand this is a prison communication system but customer service is imperative in all industries because I am paying for service regardless of the circumstances of my incarcerated loved one.
I can't even use it every time I log in it goes to the home page and as soon as I try to do anything, messaging add contact, update information- literally anything, it says login expired please reload. Literally 10 seconds after I've been logged in EVERY TIME. IT JUST DOESN'T WORK.
Can't use the snap n send or videogram features.. it just says facility is blocked, snap n send not active at this facility, videogram not active at this facility. Nothing works with this new 'securus unity' platform. It allowed me to send photos and videos one night and never again after that. I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no success. Have even contacted securus customer support through email and they act clueless, told me to call the facility, which I did to no avail.
They say they are the leading technology, but they don't know how to support the customer. Trying to sign up for video calls and every device (ipad, computer, 2 Android phones) errors at uploading the pictures. Call support and they blame it on something different every time or tell you to call someone else. Now they say detention center needs to help us. What a joke for a business and app.
Crashes often, doesn't want to send a simple email, wants to log you out while you're using it, and then when it crashes they offer that you buy more from them, the nerve of this garbage company. Yes, cuz that's what I want to do spend more money on something that doesn't work, screw you securus
I type kind of slow and I can't ever finish a message before it times me out and I lose what I had and then I lose my train of thought I've had this accnt for a long time and can't send my son a message the whole time. We're not able to call them when we need to let them know something. It's been a while. I hope you have fixed that major problem.
It would be fine if it would let my calls come through to me, I've contacted yall and yall say it's not blocked my account has money on it. When I check to see when the last attempt was made to my phone from my inmate it says today At 330 but I haven't gotten a call.
Horrendous app. Constantly crashes, and it crashes so often I can't even sign up. Tried over and over and over. Tried reinstalling, updating, etc, nothing works. Considering the money this company is making its ridiculous that they can't fix this app. Especially given the volume of terrible reviews!
Cannot access my transaction history. No way to contact Securus directly, they do not respond to messages about technical difficulties. Only have contact services regarding billing. They are eager to take my money but not resolve other issues!!
Do a remote visit and we can't see one or the other some times we can't hear each other and to do this onsite widget cut off after just a few minutes or the terminal freezes up there's more much more this app has no ads I'm my opinion this app is a get your money that's why they don't have in person visits any more
I'm really getting tired of not being able to send messages whenever I want I pay enough money into this thing that I should not have any issue whatsoevmay 11, 2012 Once again can't sigh in to this app.. I think the developers should credit us some stamps for all the issues we have It's bloody well not like they can't afford it!
I love this app actually is pretty sweet!! To be able to send notes and photos if you want to with the emessaging and I like how the video sessions are set up!! I do have to admit there are glitches with the system which is frustrating! It works fine for a few days and then every once in a while it says there has been an error please try again later... Also not letting me log in saying experiencing difficulties, error try again later
