A fair number of jobs that have nothing to do with what I'm searching turn up in searches. Also has major issues displaying information when you go into specific ads. Pictures and media disappear as well as buttons and discriptions depending on where you have scrolled to on the screen. Been like this for awhile and it's pretty pathetic.
I have the app installed on my phone. However I'm also having the issue that tapping on a link in the email then takes me to the website which prompts me to open in the app. Then, when I tap to 'open in the app' it directs me back to Google Play to open the app from there. End up with lots of legacy tabs left open in the browser as well.
Great app if your looking for work, would be great to have live chat to chat to employers if they want to instantly message you. Phone calls are fine but not every business number comes up which is important these days as people sign up to everything around the world so picking up every phone call isn't ideal because of fraudulent calls.
It's okay but the notifications saying "fresh opportunity for you" really need to go. Getting sick of these notifications sending me jobs that I have no chance of even getting. And the search bar barely works when looking for specific jobs. If I type in "apprenticeships" majority of the jobs aren't even apprentice jobs.
Missing convenient features that the website has, such as filtering by pay, and the link on each ad for “more jobs from this company”. When a job ad doesn't display the pay range, I click “more jobs from this company”, then I use the pay filters to find which pay bucket the job ad appears in. Can't do any of that with the app. It's also nice to check the other jobs from the same company. Such a simple, handy feature that's missing.
Was great, but it's now impossible to open the job links from emails in the app. It loads the app and then sends me straight here and then can't get back to the job page. Now I have to remember the job title and scroll until I manually find it.
The app works great, can't stand the recommendations mainly because it recomends me for jobs I have no interest or qualifications in nor have I looked at those jobs in the first place yet I'm spammed with them
Giving accurate jobs but unable to decide for remote. I need remote only, but don't know how to get remuneration.
Very helpful application I would only recommend 1 thing and thats to make it shown what job you are applying for, I know it is shown but most the time very poorly, because of this it would create confusing thus probably causing people to miss job opportunities and or misinterpret 1 job for another
I have been working for Crewe Sharp for over 5 months now and I really work hard and am very professional in my duties, as I have been a Primary School Teacher for 21 years. I have a very neat and tidy appearance and very courteous, well mannered person, especially towards the Residents.
Stop telling me every time I check the emails you send to stay on website or go to app get the hint if it's a email you send me I use the Web sites if I want to use the app I will when I want stop asking every time I'm reading a email.
The main flaw with this app is that the jobs they display have nothing to do with the jobs I'm searching for and it's really annoying. They have the worst filter and I have to go through hundreds of jobs. I can search up Nightfill and it will come up dog groomer, data analyst, technician. Like I don't have the qualifications to get into these jobs why are you showing me this? Takes longer looking for work through this app than any other.
It's a nice app with a lot of job opportunities but it is so difficult to getting someone that will sponsor a job seeker expecially from Nigeria like me.still looking forward to such job.
Doesnt let me look at jobs whilst on web, forcing me to download app. I hate not having an either/or option. Forcing an app on people is a rubbish thing to do.
Search functionality is limited. Often brings up jobs unrelated to a category. Needs a massive overhaul.
Complete garbage app, never got a single job or even a call from an employer from past 2 months. This app is useless.
I think this app is broken. I can login to seek on a browser . On the app it doesn't recognise my account i.e the same account
Unable to register. They r saying my email account is not valid. I have tried my Gmail and Yahoo mail accounts but still saying thesame thing
This app run easyly but I think no any one original hiring person here i apply many post but every post response unlike and give feedback same day i apply many junior post but Same reply unlike
Seek is a Mainstayer website, the go too website when you want to find Jobs.
The App always shows less content then the browser version. I have a few saved jobs, and jobs I have applied for, but this never shows up in the app. Fair to say, that the app is pretty useless. 😐 @SEEK - Thanks for the response. 👍 Yes, I only have one account with Seek and I am logged in with that account on the app. I deinstalled the app, reinstalled it, but its still the same. it does not show the activities, I made in the web browser.
This app was good up until the most recent update. Now it is painful. Notifications every time a new job comes up which meets my criteria, which is already on the daily emails. Now I get multiple notifications a day. I've had to turn off all notifications now to stop the irritation from these as there wasn't an option to turn off just those notifications (Or if there is it is not clearly marked as such).
Excellent app for Job Searching. Makes it easy to apply with the options to save Resumes and Cover Letters on the fly. The searches are great albiet sometimes inaccurate but this could be due to vague search terms on my part. The interface is fairly clean and easy to use. Being able to integrate some kind of version control for Resumes and Cover Letters using cloud based storage would be a huge quality of life improvement. The employee questions feature is fantastic.
The is an absolutely wonderful app with a minor but significant and annoying detail. Why can't I set my expected hourly rate above $100? Why? Why is there even a check? Also, why not a daily rate option which is the standard for contract jobs in Australia - haven't looked at the job posts yourself? It's a 1 star because of these two most annoying role information & to get the developers' attention. Otherwise, I'd surely give a 7/5. Hee. Please fix them, if anyone's listening at all.
Persistant unwanted 'icon' in menu. Tap the menu on your nav bar (generally three lines), and you see the most recent apps you have opened. The seek app wouldn't disappear, no matter how many other apps I had opened. Kinda reminds me of a push service, to a degree. Disabled all permissions and notifications for the seek app. Now uninstalled. Pushy little bugger of an app. Other than that, might be a good app, might not be.
I'm having a new issue when clicking on job ads from Gmail, where it continues to ask if I want to open in app or web. Every time I select app, it then tells me I can control what I see. Clearly not, because the prompt keeps appearing every day I click through. Aside from that, the app itself is okay, but I'd love to be able to block or filter employers I'm not interested in.
The almost go to app/site for job hunt in New Zealand. Unfortunately, the most annoying thing on the app is the recommended jobs function where the system has absolutely no idea what it is recommending as you will get roles that is way below you pay rate or experience level being constantly recommended to you that you have no way to set or turn off. Very annoying!
seems most times I click on a job it wants me to use this app then it takes to update app. when thats done I'm not looking at job I clicked on. Then it traps you and controls what you can and can't do.
Definitely my favourite 'job search' app - has proven to be consistently reliable & helpful. I do think the search & recommended features could be a bit more organised & why not add an extra option for potential courses/classes, everything from basic 1 day courses such as RSA, first aid etc all through to diplomas & degrees.. that would be very handy too. But when looking for employment this app imo is leader of the pack.
