Seeking Alpha

The app is extremely slow. Someone needs to figure out how to optimize loading times. Also with how slow it is if I tap on the wrong page and then tap on on what I wanted the first page will still load before the second input is tracked so the wait time is doubled. The search bar needs improvement. It is one of the slowest parts of the app when it should be the fastest.

Great app and easy to configure! No problems, ever! New version reloads instead of refreshing sometimes. Kinda slow to load. Worth the wait. Update: Getting slower all the time! Won't load in background! Not adding up Total Gain properly. Wrong total! Still reloads every time you bring it up even when already open. Becoming a real pain! Just need it to refresh!

The app is not good. It struggles to open articles directly from notifications. The app can be slow. It lacks the fluidity and ease of use expected from a good mobile app. It looks like the goal was to copy the desktop website and not to make a good mobile app. I actually like seeking alpha as a service, but the app is low quality.

The app is just bad. It takes too long to load basically anything. I just let my notifications list build up until the next time I'm at my computer and then I just read them off the website. So yeah, seeking alpha has some good content, but the app adds practically nothing.

This app is steaming garbage. I get a notification, I click the notification, then the app opens and says cant find the page the notification was about. Fine, I refresh the app and try finding the author, none of the search functions work. Its been like this for a year..

Painfully slow. Clunky UI design makes it difficult to make accurate selections and close annoying ads. The chat/forum feature in paid subscriptions needs improvement as there is no intuitive way to filter just on moderators.

Even with good wifi connection, I sometimes cannot open the articles from notifications. I need to go to my email to open it, or even to refresh it again. Also I may need to read an article by several sessions. DO NOT let me open the article again. Please stay where the page is. It is very annoying.

Seems like half the time it loads with no data. I have 30 or so tickets and yet there is nothing displayed. Possibly a problem on the backend with data retrieval as my connection is fine and no other apps have this issue. Trying to refresh just shows the circular loading icon. Needs more work.

I like the stock analyses, and they cover more stocks than the motley fool. Obviously, do your own research prior to investing. The SA team writes concise, straightforward, and highly analytical pieces, and the Quant system is useful for finding red flags. That said, the app is a bit slow to load and they often try to advertise other services to me. In my opinion, a premium account (which lets you read their articles) is all you need. Skip dividend kings, potential multibaggers, not worth it.

App is still far from finished, many features missing or not working. The website is among the best their is for qualitative research on stocks, just some UI changes like the EPS and Revenue estimates graphs have gone horribly wrong. They're so narrow it's almost impossible to read any information on them. The old ones were much better. Thanks for fixing the comment notification issue, that one works now.

I'm not sure why but this app became incredibly slow to load stock prices and news. It's used to be good and fast but now it's barely usable. None of the software updates have fixed this issue.

As a premium seeking alpha user, I was hoping for a better OTG app experience, but this app is WAY too buggy as a daily driver. In app pages take far to long to load, searching anything is a glitchy nightmare and reading articles is a game of slides. It feels like APi calls to their servers are not working very well. I am using a Pixel 6 plus, fiber / 5G connections, so it definitely not the speeds. Sidenote: I feel like it's getting worse with the last few updates, NOT improving. Bummed.

Stupid app. When I am reading a 200 page transcript and I turn the screen of my mobile phone, it resets the screen and I have no idea where I left off. The app also spontaneously refreshes taking up my free article limit. Can you not find another way to monetize users without requiring a premium subscription? Hope this review encourages you to review your business model.

Love the content and overall information, as well as ability to exchange thoughts via comments. The big issue with the cite is ts way to slow to load because of all the black used in the headings, etc. Steve

When it works, this app is great When it doesn't which is MUCH of the time, it's very frustrating. Comes up completely blank, "Can not be displayed at this time". Sometimes clearing the cache fixes it, sometimes it doesn't. Please fix this Your paying customers deserve better!

I wish they better managed their stock charts. I can't trust their accuracy at times. I am debating on whether I want to renew my premium subscription because of this.

App is very user friendly. Easy to navigate. Layout is great for beginners or seasoned investors. It's a keeper for me.

App works fine. Service is below par. Information comes as fast as any free service, actrilcals are no where near earth shattering and same can be found for free. Customer service by far one of the worst i have ever dealt with. Auto renewed my subscription and when I asked for a prorated refund I was denied. Guess there own stock picks havnt been working out for them they to take money from anyone then can even customers that don't want there subpar service.

Excellent info from a large variety of sources making it easier to find and read alternate views. Cannot invest without it.

This is an indispensable tool for the investor. Quant is an amazing way to take a glance at companies. Sometimes you need to reload a page but it's a minor issue.

This app is horribly slow. After opening the app, it takes a good 15-20 seconds to load the page and update stock listings on my portfolio page. If I use another app while Seeking Alpha is open and then jump back to SA, it often freezes up. At that point I'll have to completely close the SA app and then open it again only to have to wait another 15-20 seconds for it to load. Paying $20 per month for this garbage is ridiculous. If they don't fix it, I'm cancelling.

Clunky. Too many notifications. Chat is a separate app. SA in the browser works much better.

I had an account with unlimited articles. Changed phones. Forgot my log in info. Create new account. No more unlimited articles. And not just big pieces written by the main writers. Also lost access to unlimied dividend news updates? Seriously?

the website is cool but the app is full of bugs. the articles you open from notifications don't open properly.

Great insight into markets. The tools and research available for investors and traders is outstanding! And, for newbies the top stock recommendations also provides awesome Quant ratings and provides wall street opinions along with SA authors' opinions and articles. Easy to use all in one place easy to browse and view. Unlimited research at a simple click. So, what are you waiting for?

It's a good app. Nottifications are an advantage over web. App is still improving. That has to be appreciated. Easier access to saved articles would be nice. There is finally a dark mode though the scrollbar in articles is practically invisible.

Decided to give the premium a try through the free trial. Wasn't given a trial and immediately billed 220 for a year service. No response on ticket. Beware with this site. I see why they're one of the largest grossing apps when they scam the users.
