Ever since the last update my messeges& notification box is empty and now every time i get a notification (that i have to search around for) it interupts every 8 seconds asking if i want to copy the messege or directpy messege the teacher. I cant even get through the messege and it is making me want to just depete the app . Please fix this. I have screen shots of what its doing if you need them .
Pretty sure the kids who the app was designed for built the app (and website) - complete dumpster fire of a mess. Poorly executed. Poor navigation. Poor UI. Poorly laid out instructions on assignments. Bloated embedded player - pretty sure it's still using Java. You really can't get much worse for a platform. Hate to see what the school paid for this garbage.
I love the app for being able to do " real time" communications as its important for our family to do so, however sometimes when the teachers are putting a post on, I will click on the post to read and when I try to scroll it won't let me. It doesn't happen for every post just some posts. ***EDIT, SINCE UPDATE IT HAS BEEN SENDING MY MESSAGES HALF WAY THROUGH ME TYPING THEM, PREVIOUS ISSUE STILL NOT CORRECTED.***
Limited functionality, not terribly intuitive. Also, school teacher put me, and the entire school, into a group chat. Could I leave it? No. Could I mute just that chat? No. Had to mute all notifications. Not great.
This app was slow for most teachers to get on board with. They used many different apps before and during the pandemic. But it seems most teachers are not using it and it works well.
Clunky, not user friendly. Difficult to navigate. This would be the worst app on my phone and it's about my children's progress at school. I long way to go.
I'm still trying to work the app out, but having the option to directly message my child's teacher is amaizing. Although sometimes I send messages that don't require a response, it would be nice to add a feature like WhatsApp and messenger have, where you can see that messages have been recieved/read by the recipient
Awful app. If you have the option DO NOT USE THIS. Other school communication apps out there offer a far superior user experience. Thank God our Primary school is changing over to Compass as the high school uses. This app is unnecessarily difficult to use and frustratingly continues to use same App symbol as Seesaw Class causing endless confusion. Communications with teachers are cumbersome as are adding photos or attachments. After putting up with it for several years can't wait to delete.
I found it a great app when my child was in yr 4, seeing what he was doing, communicating with the teacher etc. His yr 5 teacher told the class parents aren't interested in their school work, and thus we never got to see anything. This yr, yr6 they're using a mixture of seesaw and google classroom. So i really find it very confusing. Yay catholic Education, St Patrick's Bundaberg Qld. My son loved the app, i find it great when it was being used properly. 👨🏫🧑🎓
I can't see messages from teacher anymore, they dissapeared and unable to message them too. Kind of frustrating.
Buggy and clearly leveraged to harvest user info. Also most settings are ignored, receive multiple updates in a day when set to one/day.
Excellent app. Allows real time communication with the teachers. Great platform.
Frustrating at best. It's so obvious that people who develop this app do not actually use it. There is no quality control or testing. I don't get why the usability of this app is so bad. I wish our school didn't use this app, but they do, so I'm still pulling my hair out. Thanks seesaw.
It's so nice that we have apps to communicate with Teacher's. Knowingly for our children's improvement in school 🏫 in class. It's very helpful and easy as well to used it.
Unable to open the app, keep on saying error 657, uninstallled and reinstalled it multiple times. Pls fix
New update makes messaging teachers not as easy and I am not a fan. But before it was great
Nice digital portfolio. Poor for communication. Important notices get mixed in with pictures in the feed, so if there's 20 pictures then something important, it's easy to miss. When you zoom in on a picture, you can't move it around. Notifications don't clear unless manually cleared individually. Maybe I'm using this app wrong. It's not easy to use.
This app is great for keeping up to date with your child's progress. It is however limited to the ability of the teacher to upload content. One frustrating thing is that even though the ability to zoom in to pictures was added recently, it is still difficult to navigate around a picture. For example once it is zoomed, you cannot scroll left and right easily, and sometimes the left and right movements are interpreted as moving to the previous or next picture. If your child is at the edge of a picture this is very frustrating!
We have always used see-saw and never had any trouble. But this year having some trouble and it is driving me nuts. I can't seem to download anything from the app especially photos. And I do not get any notifications from the app. I can download the photos if I go into the Web page but can't seem to download them from the app... I have deleted the app and reinstalled it several times but still nothing..
Complete dumpster fire. It's poorly laid out and has a terrible UI, the app is confusing and not logically sequenced it terms of how you progress from one area to another, and the functionally is poor. It's like someone built it from a sales pitch they heard and never tested it. It's probably got all the "features" listed but getting to them without your hair turning gray is a pain. What a waste of time.
Error message. The app was great, when we used it last year. Now it shows Error message. I've deleted last year's classroom. Uninstalled. Reinstalled. I can not find "Send Feedback" anywhere. Here I am, with I assume many others. The app is great when it is working properly. Right now I would wait untill the app is fixed. Five stars because I know it will be fixed. I did not want to lower your rating due to this error. Please if at all possible add "feedback" option. Or make it easy to find.
Edit: after being in touch about push notifications not working, they gave me all sorts of troubleshooting methods. Ultimately, none of them worked, boiled down to having to reset my phone (was less than 6 months old when I first got in touch.). They also blamed it on the fact it is an s9 (apparently software issues in the 9 and higher) completely ignoring the fact that I had the same issues with my s6. If I had a choice I wouldn't be using this app.
If you have more than one kid, this app is totally confusing. It should be organized by child so we know what messages correspond to which kid (i.e. a feed for each kid). When you press the "back" button on most screens after clicking on a notification, it doesn't go to the home screen but exits the app. We've been forced to use this app since Covid-19 and it is so difficult to use. Assignments are somewhere in the feed and you have to scroll back through and in most cases can't find them.
I can't stand how new notifications are listed under the previous ones and your page starts from the bottom and works its way up. You have to read down, then scroll up through what you've just read to get to the previous message. Then read down, then scroll up again. A normal page reads top to bottom. It would be nice if things would be linear, with new messages at the top, like reading normal email. It's quite irritating to keep scrolling up and down to search & read through notifications.
EDIT: tech support contacted me and resolved the issue. Push notifications now work. Updated to 5 stars. Last year the app worked great, push notifications for every new post and message. This year I've already missed two important messages because there's no notifications despite the settings being correct. All this aside, it's a great way to get insight into what's happening in the classroom and get a quick message to the teacher.
Android version is full of flaws. The Android version does not send notifications after the last update (Dec 2018). This is obviously not ideal since I'm missing time-sensitive messages if my phone isn't altering me. Ive checked all settings, deleted and reinstalled the app, contacted SeeSaw (who was no help and said notifications are fine. if it was fine I wouldn't email them??) It seems Apple iOS versions are a priority. Android users are not. Terrible when this app is highly used in school divisions. Terrible support from SeeSaw but they don't care and claim you are wrong. Having to manually check the app multiple times a day to make sure you aren't missing important messages is a huge pain.
Doesn't work. I've been using this app for almost 2 years, and the most recent update literally wiped out the entire thing. I can't access anything anymore, all the history I have with my kids work and teachers is gone. I've tried having the teachers start a new message thread and it doesn't open. It's completely useless at this point.
