Lacks a lot of stuff but close. It's also very sensored, they made sure to leave out the info on how they see gentiles as animals and the book gittin plus many more are also taken out. If your downloading this to see the secrets to the Judaic religion they also have this app sencored for you to think you've learned it haha.

Great program - will give 5 stars once offline search begins to work.

The app is ok. However it doesn't keep your place on the page when you shut the app down. It keeps returning to the beginning of the page rather than where you stopped. It's also slow to load going backwards if you open to a later point, and forwards. I am also not sure why we need to download the library when the app seems entirely dependent on wifi to use. UI is buggy, when I click the "more" link the list appears in it's entirety twice.

It used to work great, but now it always crashed within 10 seconds of opening.

The resources on this app have been astoundingly helpful, especially on my journey as a Jew by choice (thank you for all the translations!). There are some significant technical issues since the most recent update however, like the Saved tab duplicating items or the app crashing when I try to open items from the Saved or History tabs. Will adjust rating when these issues are fixed.

Sefaria has been my go to app for all learning outside of home and often even at home. It was WONDERFUL! However it no longer works. After less than minute of use on my android phone, it stops and I get the message "Sefaria has stopped working.". I uninstalled it, reinstalled it.... No change. Still crashes. What's going on?

I'm very pleased with having such a wide range of texts in my pocket.

This App is fantastic. A few features would make it better though, for example - being able to share sources\links online with friends (especially relevant for sharing דפי מקורות with a chavruta), being able to write personal commentaries, creating hyperlinks at references, synchronizing devices (phone, tablet, laptop). All in all though the app works well and is an amazing project.

So far I like it but, in 'The 'Complete Tanach' version genesis 1:2 is missing the last word 'water'. Thanks

Love the app and how smooth it functions! two things I noticed, I can't remove something from the history bar, (although big ups on keeping so much history) and when I select a pasuk and open commentaries, it keeps that selected text on the top of the page and if I scroll at all (in order to take a screenshot with the pasuk directly above the commentary) it automatically changes the selected text to the text at the top of the page, which I see almost entirely as a glitch. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

I have trouble limiting search to specific books. Excellent app. Highly recommended.

Excellent and amazingly useful. Hebrew and English is great. It is really 5 stars plus, but the search function is pretty primitive and lame. I use it far more than I expected. Nothing like having a great reference library in your pocket. No ads or irksome garbage. A real winner! (Please please upgrade your search)

Sefaria crashes all the time since the most recent update, Upon touching the upper left three lines it closes and doesn't even let one reach the main menu. It's a pity, since its a Jewish literature jewel. Please fix it soon, although I wouldn't know how to access the update feature, if it keeps crashing.

This app was very good. The only downside now is that even when you have downloaded the entire library, you still need an internet connection to navigate Bibles, commentaries and other resources. I wish it can be returned to its original state where it can work completely offline, as long as you have downloaded the entire library.

Great app. Main issue with it is simply that it can't be put on an sd card.

It was great, until I updated, and then it erased every thing. It did have any permissions but went on to the internet once I started the updated version. That wasn't very nice. It was only supposed to fix a last read position error. Google companies are starting to have log in fails, trying to get people to use finger prints, or microchip implant etc. I wonder if one day every thing will be deleted, and we will be asked to take the mark of the beast to read the Bible or any other digital content. Who to trust?

Best source I found. Really good display, thoughtful design and very functional. Most accurate if translations I've found. Also, to whomever moans, check the donation section. Maybe you can also offer, not only demand. Then they might have funds to develop this to your standards... Since you know, you use it for free without adds.

Disappointed by update.. After using the app for a few months it updated to King James English. I uninstall and reinstalled; it updated to it again, so I've uninstalled it. I liked how it had several different texts and commentaries in one place in a simple to access and use format.

Overall, a nice collection of Jewish texts, available for free. But there is a big problem with later versions - search doesn't work in the off-line mode, even though the app offers to download the database for off-line use.

Sefaria is the best Jewish learning platform bar none. Fantastic UI, virtually every book you could want ( and they keep adding new books), a powerful search engine, great features like Calendars and English translations and best of all - it's completely free!

This app, and the broader project is just incredible. Given the option to download the archive to my device, I'd like to see an option to use my phone's SD card for storage, though.

Sefaria is my go-to app for learning and teaching Jewish texts in today's mobile digital culture. I use the app to learn Torah, Talmud and other texts with both traditional and modern commentary. The layout and font options make it easier for me to study from than PDFs or ebooks. The app has opened the door to teaching in new ways as well, from spontaneous coffee shop discussions to being able to easily share texts on social media by copying and pasting from the app.

This app has greatly dropped the cost of entry to finding sources that get referenced all the time, and in a great Gui. Highly recommended! I just hope it keeps increasing the amount of English translations available.

I started the daf yomi cycle and discovered this amazing app. I share all the praise and want to highlight that this is a platform for serious Jewish studies at all levels. I feel bad that I missed it till now. **I have but one concern that is crucial I think for so many. The vowels on daf yomi are not stable, and I cannot get them all the time. Thank you for looking into this.

This is the every Jew app that many depend on to study properly, like me. When I first started using Sefaria, I was impressed with the ease of access and extended library that we have access to. This is a must for the serious Chassid or Tzaddik or modern Jew. The download afterwards is relatively small and easy to navigate, considering the amount of easy to use and easy to access resources. This app has literally changed my life.
