Send Money with Remitly

Excellent company, multiple transfers with them already using their economy option, always available when they say it's going to be, good rate USD/MXN, pick up at local bank, and their app works with no issues and easy to navigate. I haven't used their fast transfer yet, but credit card fees 3% (but I don't take cash advances on credit cards) debit card zero fee, compared to other companies like WorldRemit, and they're exchange rate is less than WorldRemit for fast transfers.

I am too scared to send money with this app again. It had an error when I sent the first time. It says that it had error but the funds was already taken from my account. It did arrive to my recipient. But when I tried sending the second time. It kept saying that my bank has to authorize it, but I am not getting any notification from my bank. I had to cancel the transfer 3 times. Yes your fees are cheaper but I'd rather pay higher with the other remittance app and feel secure.

Remitly seemed like a wonderful service however their customer service is awful and if you have a problem with the app they will not do anything other than send you a link to their website to help. You cannot rely on this app as they seem to regularly change settings and account requirements. Maybe use it for a one time payment but do not plan to use it regularly as it is completely unreliable.

I was in the beginning a little sketchy about sending money and having my information seen however this is a very secure app to use. The customer service agents are pretty helpful even though sometimes they may have heavy strong accents, they are smart and knowledgeable. For those that are familiar with cash app, venmo or even PayPal this is very similar to that. It works pretty much the same way and it's extremely secure so you don't have to worry about anything getting leaked. I recommend

Easy to use and set up on your phone. One problem is that you can't send money inside the United States? A second problem is that the overseas stores that distrube the money have limits for how much money you can send during a certain time period. Because of that sometimes I had to use other apps to send money, like Western Union which is very expensive. Otherwise great app, low fees to send money. Sends a text message to recipient including the code to pick up the money. Great customer service

I understand there have to be layers of security to curb criminal activity, but this is ridiculous. I had to record a video of myself and send a picture of my ID. When that wasn't enough I had to answer questions via telephone, and then send them a copy of my bank statement. Even after all of that, they still had issues. I give the app 2 stars because eventually they aporroved my transfer, but I won't be using this app again after all the hoops I had to jump through as a law abiding person.

So much easier than Western Union. Also, unlimited number of times sending money. Which has been vital in helping family overseas when they need it. Unlike Western where u tried sending and then it won't work and never tells you how much you have left to send. Stopped using Western Union. This is the best transfer app. It's also much faster and more efficient. Since using this app it's made life easier and less stressful with transfers.

Great app to use to send money to your love one outside the USA. I send to Nicaragua and my mom gets her money very quickly, I definitely would recommend. it's easy to use and during the time I've been using the app I've only had issues with it once and then it worked fine.

Like the app so far, but they are cheeky every time you send money the rate is lower than previous transaction. Otherwise a hassle free money transfer experience you get. But they need to work on rates.

Really fast and convenient app. I've never had an issue with any transaction. I specifically love the feature of seding out the pickup codes through email and/or text. Love it

I've been using Remitly for years and have nothing but positive comments. I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to safely send money transfers internationally without having to worry about fraud or a long wait. They have two options instant tranfers paid with credit/debit cards and an economy option which you use by linking your bank account. The economy does take a few days, so only use when you have time. The app is also user friendly.

Horrible customer service! I tried to send money overseas and for some reason it changed the amount I was sending last minute and charged me double the fee. Tried to get help via their chat feature to address the issue and they had no solution or response. Kept me on hold for soo long, I ended up having to end the chat. Literally useless waste of time

Their transfer service is absolutely unreliable, I sent 2 transfers via the express method where the date and time of delivery was listed as 20 minutes after scheduling the transfers ... after I submitted both of them the time changed to more than a week out. On top of that, i asked them to canceled the transaction, they sent confirmation email, then another that the funds were delivered, then recently another asking for more info, and now another for cancelation. Worst nightmare of a solution!

Starting when I use it was fine. Just after few days because of request for limit increase for stock investment profit transfer purpose and guess what the customer support informed me that it's not under any category which they can accept and they just simply locked my account and not allowing me to get it back!!! It's so disappointing just because of this and you all simply turn me away!!! I'll not even recommend to use this service

Trouble!!! My first experience is not good. I wanted to send money home... Every information was taken. The last bit of ID card was stuck. It asked me to click I'd card about 4 times front and back. Then the app started again, without any communication... Now I don't know what happened... Money sent or not... How do I believe in the app.. much time wasted...

I've used Remitly to send money abroad to friends and family and I found it to be be very good as it's a user friendly site and the rate of exchange is very good and I didn't have to pay any fees. Also I done the transaction within a few minutes. Before I had to travel to an agency and pay fees and that was quite expensive. Now I can send the money I save to some one who is needy.Also I recieve a reward from Remitly each time if send a link to my friends and family and they benefit from it.

I'm not kidding guys. Exchange Rates, App, Customer service, speed, ease of use ARE THE BEST. As of now, no one can compete against Remitly. I've been an expat for about 2 years and it has saved me so so many times. I just wish there were no transfer yearly limits, but I understand why. Please Remitly don't change the way you do business and customer service, and always work towards keeping the best exchange rates. I've been with Remitly for about 2 years and I'm not going anywhere. 👍🏻 👍🏻

Total scam. I tried to use this app to send money to a friend's in the Philippines' gcahs account. However they never recieved the money despite having my credit card being charged. I contacted support, who weren't very helpful at first. But eventually refunded my money by giving me the balance on my remitly account. But the thing is I never even recieved the balance on the account. These people are scammers and this app is a total scam.

Works good! I was using Western Union to send cash to my fiancee previously but there were weird money laundering rules and I just needed to get money to her. Remitly made it easy and they vary the amount you can send based off a tier system. Some months things come up and you have to send more than say a previous transaction. They make it easier and I haven't had any issues yet.

After I updated the app today, the "send again" button is not working the same as before when I tap it. I need to enter the whole details of the recepient again and again. Please do something to fix this. Its annoying

The application user interface is good and seems to be perfectly working only until you realise you are on the bank's screen and have to open the the bank's application through the button provided but can't do so. Multiple tapping on the button seem to be not working. Hence, no transactions can go further. Also, when I try to sign-in on the website the 2FA pops up and it's intended purpose is to send a code to the registered mobile number. The text never arrived. I tried multiple times no succes

Used Remitly for the first time to send a money transfer. Everything went well and the app says the transfer was completed successfully, but I never received the money in Brazil. Their support team doesn't know what happened and escalated to another department who is supposed to call me back. Not a great experience so far and I hope to see my money again. UPDATE: The money finally hit my account, but I still wouldn't recommend their services after this experience. Changed my review to 3 ⭐.

Terrible experience, I wasted hours trying to send a photo to confirm my person, complicated and not efficient. I'm going to use the old Western Union method again, paying more, much simpler and more efficient. Have you guys from the company seen how many 1 star it has? if it doesn't improve they will close, my first and last attempt, I regret having indicated this horrible service you provide. until never more. Really bad, I downloaded the app because I thought it will be convenient to do fast and from my phone, it worked just with two transactions, when I tried to do send money to a different relative, they canceled it, costumer service said that they closed my account for suspicious activity, hilarious a $55 dollars transaction, no further explanation or chance to reactivate it, terrible app.

07/03/2021: Remitly widget isn't updating anymore. It stopped working back in September/October 2021 after which it was fixed. It appears that the same problem is occurring again. Please fix because I like the exchange rate displayed on the widgets without having to go into the app i

Worst experience ever. I set up my account put my information in and put the person I am sending money to info and boom. No access suppose they suspended it. I have no access to delete it. I contact them to delete and they won't do that either. DO NOT USE THIS. REPORT The app.

I used this transfer app in the past with no problems. 4 transfers. Than after switching banks problems even providing bank documents. I decided to use this app to send to the same.destination. I'm branded as using this app for illicit purposes and given no reasons. It's embarrassing. I got false advertisement and discrimination from this. I copied my conversation suggesting I try to sign up using another email but carefully so they don't suspect its me again from a service rep. Hmmm

Downloaded the app and tried sending money to my family back in my country and my account got immediatelly suspended for suspicious behavior, no warnings, no attempt to fix the issue. I don't even know what I did that was deemed suspicious. Customer service was not able to help either, they just link you their terms and conditions page and tell you to try another payment method, somethong you can't do with a blocked account.

So much disappointed.. The rates are worse.. They charge you 4.99€ on every transaction sent as well as the recipient's currency is on the lower side(Eg:on every 1€ they give NPR 129 where the rate is going upto NPR 135). It's like they are getting from transfer fees as well as critically lowering the rate of currency. Wish I could give them no star at all. Utterly disgusting!!
