Hub fails to connect to WiFi network and fails to be found, rendering the entire lighting kit useless. Every point of instruction for installation has been followed. Even a factory reset doesn't fix the problem. Absolutely useless. If you're reading reviews before purchasing the product- don't. Plenty of other users reporting the same issue. After the last update many people experienced a broken hub. Sengled needs to make a statement that they are aware of the problem and are making it top priority to issue a new update that will fix the non-connecting hubs. Now, can I get my money back for a non-functional item they took money for?

I've had the lights working for about two months now. The app and lights work as advertised. My issue is the schedule feature. I can only set the time for wake up and once during the day. I can add othet days or times. Maybe it is me, but I would like a bit more flexibility to schedule when I want the lights on or off.

The best that can be said is that certain basic functions work. But just about everything is wrong with its software design & features. Starts too slowly, requires account signup, stops working in your own home without external internet, can't toggle lights until you decide which light ID is in which room (how?). Scheduling: You can only choose two time periods when lights will turn on automatically. Wake up light is a little gimpy because minimum brightness is up to 2 Watts (15%-20%)

Not very intuitive. Would give 5 stars if timer can be set according to sunrise and sunset. I would like it to turn on 30 minutes before sunset instead of having to adjust it accordingly as the season changes. This would be very helpful in the northern hemisphere where sunsets range 5 hours depending on time of year.

Still cant change room pictures. Come on guys. App works as it should, as far as controlling lights. Customization options are displayed in the app, but they do not function at all (specifically, changing images to represent each room. you are stuck with default images) Will give a 5 if this is fixed.

This works okay with the three bulbs and hub that came with the starter kit. I purchased 2 more bulbs for other rooms and the app will not go to add a device page. It continues to go to the setup page when I tap Devices. I have reset the hub, restarted my phone and app. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I've done everything I can do and still it continues to go to the setup hub when I try to add a device. This is useless to me if I can't add other bulbs. Can someone please help with this? I would love to give it more stars however at this time I have to say only purchase if you don't need more bulbs than the starter kit has. UPDATE: I gave this app 2 stars and now made it 4, If you have the same problem I had just install Sengled Home and work with that app. I now am able to add bulbs with no problem and everything is working A-OK. It will say all your info will be transferred and you will no longer be able to use this app, but don't worry it works great.

It was a bit odd to set everything up. Works very well with our Google Home, but the updates to the bulbs are weird - I have 3 bulbs - under the updates tab the hub is showing green and bulb 3 is lit up green but 1 and 2 are grey (everything was updated though). Not sure why that is. Sometimes the lights lag during a set action such as "hey Google, lets watch a movie" and Google says it is unable to reach a specific bulb. But if you tell it to do that bulb singularly, it works just fine. These glitches are rare it seems, which is good. Should improve with further updates. All in all, not bad, I like it. I would probably get more.

no way to change power off and on states. if your power goes off in the middle of night during a storm, the lights will come on when the power comes back on all bythemselves. bedroom lights blinding me at 4 in the morning is super lame. other apps will let me choose to keep the last status the lights were at. if they are off, they stay off and if they were on they stay on during a power surge.

App is very buggy.... Adding a bulb is a total crapshoot. Once in operation it has worked fine for me. The scheduling could be a bit more flexible. My biggest complaint.... and it is a major one.... is adding a bulb. Please.... developers.... address this issue.

Unacceptable Disappointment. Worked flawlessly at first then stopped connecting to Hub no matter how many times I tried to reconnect. Recognizes the hub Everytime then 2.4Ghz WiFi is not recognized. Junk. I know what I'm doing I've done this several times over. Junk. Stay away from Sengled.

I have had the hub and 8 bulbs running for the past two hours. The hub and all bulbs updated with no issues. The app is simple and not always intuitive. I have a whole bunch of suggestions for making it better.

2 stars now with the new update installed. Was 5 stars before. Major errors of "not connecting to the network". The app worked better before the update. Bring back the older version. At least that one would connect to the network.

This app made for a very easy setup for my lights and I'm using Alexa to control them! I just wish there was a widget that I could put on my home screen with a simple on off switch for all lights when I don't feel like talking to Alexa.

Although I love the convenience of this app and the bulbs, it is lacking greatly in the ability to stay connected to the internet. I have been unable to use this for several months as it will not connect. The hub has not connected for months and and am unable to use.

Unfortunately the app is indeed buggy. As others say, it does not find the hub easily, which makes it very hard to add a bulb. I can't believe Sengled's tech personnel are letting this happen without fixing it.

only one person can control.... unless you buy multiple hubs, this app wont let you connect to the hub unless the other person is signed out. So if I want to change a light I have to ask my partner to sign out of it before I can sign on. when he is awake its fine, but when i need it during my office hours i dont want to wake him just to fix the light 🤦🏼‍♀️

Pitifully buggy, freezes trying to select image or take photo. Update screen appeared to freeze on hub. Why you have a hub for a wireless device is a waste of time, money, and power.

I just want to turn the damn lights off and it says that it's doing a software update on the app but it says that it should only delay actions not stop them completely. Great idea for an app but its run and programmed by a bunch of dumb apes.

Works well enough. Have had for a year and rarely have connection problems but they do occur. Sometimes will get one bulb in a room left on when they all should turn off; usually corrected by restating the command.

Connectivity issue. I had trouble adding bulbs to the hub. Everytime I'm prompted to add hub and then hub failed to add. Then I decided to download and use the SENGLED HOME app, which worked much better.

Issue controlling tones of white with the Element Colour Plus Bulb. The app first worked fully with the colour bulb but now after one day of normal operation the colour temperature slider for the white light shifts colours between a deep red as "warm" to a bright blue as "cool". We have several other Sengled white and element plus bulbs which still work as expected but no real control for the colour plus bulb.

Fine. Works, but limited customization. Needs the option to save custom bulb colors. The bulbs are great, but the app needs improvement to use the bulbs to their fullest potential.

I love the lights but the app is buggy. I can't add a custom room now although it let me the first time I used it. Firmware update was a mystery but it seemed to eventually work on one of the bulbs. It will not upload custom picture. The software is also very laggy. I so wish the software were as good as the bulbs, if it was I'd have every bulb in my house replaced with Sengled bulbs. I've got six installed - love the lights, developers - please fix the application as I can see everyone has same issues. Surely you could spend more time on application development and have a fantastic all round product. One other issue is paring a new bulb can take quite a few goes and I know it's not my network as I'm a Network Administrator by occupation and my home network is what you would call enthusiast grade!

Was unable to connect via WiFi, but Ethernet worked fine. The app itself is buggy, but I use Alexa to control the bulbs, so I the only thing I really needed the app for was to setup the hub.

Super unreliable. At times will not conbect to ANY network. Can't even sign in to app, says no network. But I am by my wifi that always works. Pretty much junk. No way to get to settings.

Miserable Failure I'm disappointed that Amazon would allow its devices to be included with this worthless device. I have multiple devices connected at home and have never had the trouble setting up this ridiculous hub (for 2 light bulbs... really?). This was supposed to be a gift. Instead it was a failure that ended with my apologies and a promise to get them 2 smart bulbs from a trusted company that will work.

I enjoy the lightbulbs but i get to many moments where it says network errors when there is nothing wrong with the wifi. One second it works, another second it just stops . Please fix network also faq does not work

Pretty worthless. The app freaks out whenever I try to add a new bulb. If you don't give permission to use camera for QR codes, it won't allow to select the manual option even though there's a button for it.
