Pretty good color and brightness options. For those who struggle with connectivity issues try not turning off your switch and only using sengled/ alexa. It took me a while to realize but everytime you turn off power source the bulb has to reestablish internet connection (which sometimes takes 1-2 minutes)
A waste of my money. It won't connect no matter what. I try using other apps turning it off back on. Using other wifi sources. I've tried everything but it still won't work. Now I got an LED light bulb that does absolutely nothing but light the room.
I have had 4 bulbs that worked regularly. Just got a new router yesterday and they will not connect. The app just spins endlessly until I close it. All the settings are correct. Tried to email and call support but no help.
Doesn't work at least 50 percent of the time. Ill press the power button for the bulb on my phone, and get no lights. Also, not sure if this is normal, but it's frustrating-If I use a light switch and then go back to the app it loses all connectivity and I have to delete the bulb and start all over.
Hub nor bulbs work. I've followed all troubleshooting steps on the Sengled website. Nothing worked. I've sent messages via website, I've seen emails, and phone calls only lead to a voice mail that states they aren't accepting calls. This product and their customer service is garbage.
Stopped working. Can see the lights in the app but it won't turn on or off and the automations have stopped working. Something happened either yesterday or today. Nothing seems to work.
Update April 2022: Now I can't link my account to Google Home. And it's not a Google Home issue, since my other smart home apps are able to link no problem. This is very frustrating after investing in a fair amount of their bulbs. ------ Hub no longer connecting. Now all my bulbs are unresponsive to smart commands.
Could be a lot more user friendly. And I'm always having issues when a device goes unresponsive. I delete it and it takes 2 or 3 attempts before I can actually reconnect it.
I've changed my rating a few times on this app because initially my light bulbs had quite a few issues. Since then they've fixed everything I've talked about in my review and recently they added dark mode which I suggested. Thank you so much developers for actually reading and taking every single review into consideration. I thought I made a mistake trying to save money by going with these lights instead of Philip hue, but now I realize I made the right choice. Thanks again.
App design doesn't feel very pleasant and I'm only seeing 6 preset options when the product is advertised to have 27 presets. Can't find any option for immersive audio syncing either.
Suddenly can't find my wi-fi bulbs. I was going to buy more of them but I guess this is a signal to move on. I've been using Sengled since the first ZigBee bulbs with a hub, and it didn't used to ever be a headache.
I can not create an account because it requires a verification code which is currently not being sent to my email. The app just stays waiting for a verification code that never comes no matter how many times I tell it to resend the code.
Spent nearly an hour trying to set these new lights up. Over and over again it would say connectivity issues. Wasted so much time, on a very nonfunctional service
Installed smart bulbs through this app and they always lose connection to Alexa home. No longer adjustable and can't see them on Alexa home at all
Bought a pack off Amazon as I have another smart bulb (different brand) and thought for the price Sengled had it was a good deal. Straight waste of money, not 1 of the bulbs will pair to anyone's phone and are basically super mediocre regular bulbs. So disappointed!
Just spent $100+ on light bulbs, which synced fine, only to have this app refuse to link to my Google home account so they can be used. Fantastic.
It works pretty well. Some connectivity issues but overall I like it. (Rating has been edited after maintenance on the app)
App will not detect light bulb. Alexa pairs immediately. Cannot manually add as "Sengled Wifi" does not show up in connection settings. Email support is non existent. Choose a different company's products.
Haven't had any of the many connectivity issues others seem to have. The app is fine, just very basic and barely allows you to program much of anything beyond off and on. A shame there are no timers or gradual dimming beyond the sunrise/sunset modes. Also very limited with effects lighting. The 4x2 widget is mostly useless as it seems to reset the routines to defaults, which don't work. Hope the developers open things up a bit!
So let me get this right, I can set my brightness, white, color and effects on each light, but if I go to make a routine they remove the effects. What if I make a routine for my lights to come on and be in Christmas mode it maybe another mode when the timer comes on already, I can't. Come on program engineers, you seem to have a good thing going why limit us and leave that out? Very disappointed. Just put it in there for us to enjoy an effect to come on or be set when a routine is created!!!
Update! It's working again. Thank goodness! I honestly don't know how I've lived without smart lights. I love that I can dim them for evening time. And the voice activated part makes us lazy folks sing its praises! The app stopped working. My lights were flashing different colors and then would turn off them back on and again with the colors. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and now I can't log in. It won't let me reset password. Says operation failed. Help!
It used to work. Now when I open it it states my phone lost connection to the internet. Whether I'm on WiFi or cell data. Even though everything else works. I click try again but it keeps doing the same thing and now I can't control my lights at all. Do yourself a favor and buy Wyze bulbs. No issues ever. UPDATE: The app has started working again and so have my lights. Although I still prefer my Wyze bulbs these are good lights and the app is decent. They work with Alexa/Goggle really well.
Works for the most part. Every once in a while, a bulb will lose wifi connection. Don't think that's the apps fault.
Sengled products and app have made my life easier as I have multiple health problems and find Sengled has really helped me 80% of my lighting is run via Sengled hub and bulbs so easy turn off or on via App on my phone
Pairing to WiFi is a chore! No longer pairs to any devices. Whether it be Android or Apple.
The light doesn't connect, I want an answer right now, no "Contact us at this email" garbage. That would be such a waste of time.
It's okay, but it's really slow to open, which is annoying if you're coming in and trying to turn on the lights--flipping a switch is instant, but standing around and waiting for the Sengled app to open is not, which feels silly. There are finally widgets now, but the widget icons kind of seem to be cut off? Maybe that's just my phone. But the 4x2 widget has this huge unnecessary bar at the top, wasting space without providing extra functionality. This sort of reflects the design of the rest of the app too. I guess it's alright and does what it's supposed to do (control my lights), and it works fine and quickly with voice commands for Google Home, but I don't really want to talk to the GH all the time and would love a snappier, nicer-looking app so I can control the lights without voice commands.
Although I've had few issues with the bulbs themselves, my main issue is with 2 missing features of the app. 1. Scenes can't use effects which means I have to manually set the bedroom lights to color changing at 100% brightness everytime instead of being able to tap 1 button. 2. Can't add or even customize existing effects being stuck with 6 default ones (of which I only use one). Will update review to 5 stars if above features are added.
