It's essentially a useless app. No control over the power-up sound (does this company really think we like hearing this jingle every time we go to the bathroom?), no control over what devices connect to it, and no control over what the device is called over Bluetooth. You can make it brighter and you can make it louder. That's it.

Could definitely use some more features. Being able to customize brightness of colors besides white would be nice. Also, a memory function, so that when you turn on your light switch it would default to the last seeing you had it on, instead of having to change it manually every time you turn on the light. Just more customizability and settings in general would be a big improvement. Especially considering how expensive the bulb is. While the bulb is great quality, the app is not up to par.

They still haven't fixed the volume issue on Android phones!! This would be so simple! Issue: when The navigation bar on Android is set to "buttons" (default), the volume control in the Segled app is UNDER the navigation bar, meaning you can't control the volume in the app unless you go into phone settings and change the navigation bar to "Swipe Gestures." Come on Sengled, just move the volume control up 1 centimeter for Pete's sake!! 8/15/21- Thank you for FINALLY fixing this!!

The lights themselves are decent. The app was buggy, but tolerable until the Android update. The app didn't adjust to the fact that the phone controls overlay the bulbs' controls at the bottom of the screen meaning the only thing you can do is change the brightness of the bulbs. You can't adjust the volume or sound of the audio or change the color of the bulbs. It has to be such an easy fix and no amount of users' complaints have moved the developers to do anything.

This would have been a 5 star review until recently. After the last Android update, the volume function for the Pulse app no longer works, leaving the speakers permanently stuck at lower volume. Have been waiting for months and the developer has yet to fix the issue. Recently sent them an email, fingers crossed. Will update the review if they fix this very glaring problem.

This this is pretty unreliable. It connects then disconnects. Then connects then disconnects. The app often needs to be restarted due to it crashing. It's similar with the level of poor consistent performance I am getting out of their hub controlled light system which I am more and more regretting putting so much money into. I am becoming more and more underwhelmed and disenchanted with this brand.

You have to connect every time you want to use the bulbs... Every-single-time. There isn't an automatic reconnection feature. I understand that for music (hardly at that, my Bose speaker reconnects automatically just by turning it on), but if you are trying to keep your lights controlled as well, it is a pain

Hey they finally fixed the unusable volume button for me! And replaced it with a bug that locks out the app the moment I try and adjust the newly available volume level, lmao. You can't make this up. (Also, all you have to do to solve the original issue is turn the navigation bar off and use gestures just long enough to get into the app to change it. Which is obviously unacceptable, but to all the dunces ((dunci?)) saying it's iMpOsSiBlE to adjust the volume aren't using their thinkers))

Can't connect to the lights. According to their help articles, this problem comes from being connected to the wrong bluetooth radio. According to the quick start guide, I'm not. Not sure if the instruction actually somehow just aren't in english, but the way I see them, they're not true. I will be returning the bulbs.

Well, it works. It looks complicated at first on using it but works fine. I'm only using it if I want to adjust the brightness of the light and connecting other Sengled Pulse lights. Basically, it use for setting since you need to connect the BT from your phone's setting. (For Sengled Flex app, I rate it 0/5, Sengled Flex Light USES WiFi CONNECTION and the server is down so the light can only use for light ONLY, not for music.)

As long as the navigation bar is covering up the sound settings, the speakers and this app are pretty much worthless. I understand that it's partially on Google due to the most recent Android update, but this app still hasn't been updated in an entire year at this point. Get it together.

SAMSUNG S9+ sounds great if the volumes are in sync, music apps vary. Connection to wi-fi leaves a lot to be desired. My bulb is located at the first floor front porch socket. Inside the house, I have no control of the Sengled app 5 ft inside. However, parked in my driveway parallel to the front porch and at least 30 ft away, I can control music and lights thru the app. When I contacted Sengled, I was told there are connection issues thru walls. Also, no Alexa or light timer.☹ Samsung Galaxy S9+

Absolutely does not work at all with Samsung S10, I called customer support and they have been aware of the issue for awhile. They are not sure if the software guy in China is even currently working on the issue. I was just told to try the app from time to time to see if the damn thing worked. So in short I have a very expensive light bulb that does nothing but come on with the light switch. The update states the problem has been fixed but that is an absolute lie.

After android update, only a portion of the screen is visible, thus I can't switch to the sound tab and control volume. Multiple emails to support have gone unanswered. Now I have some very expensive light bulbs that don't do what I paid for. This app is terrible, and never updated. Many better products out there.

This has got to be the worst wifi bulb out there. The bulb never goes back into pair mode after connecting to. You have to physically go into your phone's Bluetooth settings to connect every time. Ever other Bluetooth device on the planet automatically connects the the last device. I can't pair this light/speaker to some of my media devices. I would avoid this wifi bulb it's not ready for primetime. It also appears there isn't any real effort to make this product better.

When it works it works good. I use it in the garage through the light bulb to play audio books or music while I'm working on stuff which I'm only able to do infrequently. But I have to constantly reconnect and search for my bulb after it's been off for a while. This is probably the third time I've had to re download this app

The scanner to add a new bulb to the system does not work, It also doesn't automatically lower the back and home button on Android (pixel 3xl), So I can't even hit the button to scan AD code or scan QR code without like hitting it 40 times and maybe getting lucky. Then when I do get lucky the scanner is black and it doesn't actually show any video to scan the QR code, when I get to the AD entry it doesn't actually accept the AD code... So the six bulbs that I've got are worthless.

I will say that have the pulse solo bulb has been very convenient and worked really well. When my phone updated the app quit working or at least the light did i can still use the audio then i got the message about the software being for a older version of android and to check the update. Unfortunately there is no update for the app and would love to have this problem addressed. Luckily my wife's iPhone still works with the bulb. PLEASE FIX

Great sound for a small speaker, but almost impossible to get the app to link to the bulb. So absolutely 1/10 for interface. Apparently I can change the colour of the bulb..... chance would be a fine thing! Absolutely useless!!!

Bra. O. May 15, 2020

Sound is great but app keeps failing, I cannot adjust bulb brightness, the sound can't be adjusted in the app either but I can do that from the volume button on my phone so it's not a big deal. If the brightness is available that would be great!

I bought this Sengled Solo bulb on Amazon for $40 thinking this thing is gotta be a powerhouse. Boy was I wrong!! This bulb is a huge disappointment and step down from other similar bulbs I own. Which were way cheaper and have more versatility. The app is basic. You can only use the bright/dim feature for a soft white light. No CCT here! And you have no bright/dim control over the multicolors! The bulb is designed well and has decent sound but that's it. I expected so much better than this!!

I've had this app for over a year and half now, but all of a sudden the top of the app is a black screen, like it doesn't open all the way. I can no longer control the volume of my speakers because the control settings are by the bottom of my screen which directs me back to the home screen on my phone.

Alb. G. Jul 19, 2019

if bluetooth or power is interrupted, it won't reconnect automatically. you have to exit the app and manually unlink and relink bluetooth. dosen't fit my lifestyle. most people have more important things to do than managing technology. nice idea but misses the mark.

Mic. R. Jul 10, 2020

Followed all the directions about connecting. Light and music playable, but cant change the color. Try going into the settings on the app, but the app crashes everytime. With all thw bad reviews, you'd think they would fix it. Will not buy any more producys from this company.

C. L. Jan 22, 2021

Surprisingly good speakers. App only needed if you are installing more than 2 speakers and need to configure them, or want to do light dimmer control, otherwise a set will just work like regular Bluetooth speakers. I wish the speakers would store the last volume settings instead of resetting to defaults every time.. They'd rate a 5 other than the loss of settings every time they power cycle...

Lan. G. Jan 11, 2021

Was using this for my music. But since the android update, I can't control the volume on the speakers. The home/back bar on the bottom of the screen is blocking the sound button. This should be fixed immediately. The speakers are why I purchased it. Now I can't even control it.

Horrible horrible app developers you should be ashamed of yourselves. worked for a day now it won't find my devices, one solo speaker bulb and two master pulse with an additional auxiliary each. No matter what I try to do it will not find my devices however the speakers do connect through the phone Bluetooth settings but I have no way to adjust the light brightness or turn it off. please make an assertive effort to fix this ongoing issue.

Love sengled as a brand. The issue I notice is that it's not compatible with the rest of the sengled bulbs I have due to it being on two different apps. Luckily google home is a great app to have everything In your home connect together BUT I cant figure out how to pair it ! It says theres an option to pair but I'm having trouble figuring it.
