I was hoping to use this for an inactivity alert. Turns out the paid version doesn't call or send a text to your contacts for that, only email. And who knows how soon or if that would ever get read. Because they'll soon learn to ignore emails from this app since it sends emails for app activity constantly. It's potentially dangerous that there's no indication in the app that your contact will not get a call or text, at the very least that part should be made clear.
Because of the COVID-19 lockdown, I cannot go out and physically check on my grandfather as I used to. Because he has the Senior Safety App installed on his phone, he pressed the SOS button when he fell last week and couldn’t get up. The app sent me a text-alert, and it phoned me. I was able to call the paramedics, who went to check on him. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured. The scenario might have ended badly if it weren't for the app’s SOS feature.
Fall alert does not work. Worked for 2 days then stopped. Reinstalled the app but still not working. Customer service just tells you the basic things to do which I had already done. Their final suggestion was to reinstall but as I said that did nothing. Would have been a great app if it worked.
Tried the fall alert and it did not work. The fall alarm was the main requirement as for a young person that collapses. Senior safety is not the best name, but I realise why. I expected a better fall alert for the amount requested of $4.50 a month. Glad of a free try before you buy.
The Senior Safety App is created to keep your elderly ones safe. Our grandmother has Parkinsons disease and falls easily. Therefore, we downloaded this app onto her phone. And, she keeps her phone on her all day. Should she fall, the app alert us. We are then able to get help for her as quickly as possible. The other feature that helps us care for her us is the SOS button, which calls her emergency contacts should she press the button.
This is the 3rd tracker we tried and I highly recommend using this if you have an elderly parent staying away from you. It's easy to install and runs well without any disruption to the phone. My mother loves the emergency option thats just 1 click away.
It doesn't work. Customer service is no help. Their contact number has been busy for 3 days now. There are no refunds after the first 24 hours. If you try it don't pay for a year like I did. Just sign up for one month at first. You won't lose as much that way. The same refund policy applies to ALL PLAY STORE ITEMS.
My beloved mother has early-onset Alzheimer's, and the disease has started progressing to the state where she forgets where she is and where she is going. She gets terribly anxious and confused. It is important to prevent her from panicking. Fortunately, she carries her phone everywhere with her. To help her, we installed the Senior Safety App on her smartphone so that she can press the panic button when she starts to panic, and someone will find her and guide her back to her room.
I am so thankful that someone told me about Senior Safety App,, it has already help me , I have fallen several and it' works. I need to know how to fine tune the sensitive part, sometimes when I lay it on the bed it goes off. It's a real blessing to me. Thank you for creating this app Bob Miller
Does not get info from contacts. Tough to remember email addresses since we virtually never enter anything but names, frequently only first names. I will wait for an update that adds functionality like that before I proceed.
Took some time to figure it out but the call with them helped, i tried by throwing my phone to the bed and it sent out an alert. Well worth the price for the job it does.
My parents are retired now, and they love to travel! So, I simply installed this app on their phones, and now i know at all time where they are. The emergency button being just 2 clicks away is such an important feature.
This app potentially saved my mother’s life after a recent fall when she was unable to call for emergency services. We were alerted right away when she fell and were able to get paramedics there quickly.
I have been using senior safety from quite some time now. The health information section is one of the features that we appreciate a lot, my mother has allergies and she is forgetful too, it's important to have all the health information readily accessible on the phone.
Easy to use and sends sos messages quickly. My contacts were calling within a few seconds of being alerted. I highly recommend.
Great interface for seniors. Easy to understand. Bigger buttons. Customizable UI makes it perfectly senior friendly.
Worked well and simple, some false alerts came up for the noise tracker but adjusting the sensitivity downwards fixed it.
I find the app difficult to set up. My concerns with the app are: The app is not intuitive - You constantly do not tell me how to enter data. I couldn't even get the app to allow me to add my list of contacts. I found the video useless because the information is presented too quickly, so much so that I felt bombarded with information. When I sent a request for help with registration the answer I got was not clear. The presenter in the video spoke far too quickly. All of the data that was entered into the app on the video was greyed out removing potentially useful information. I also found the tone of voice somewhat condescending. I am a very intelligent person and I am fiercely independent. I have some knowledge of computers and would like to be able to set the app up myself.
