Sennheiser Smart Control

Partly useless app. It is a shame an ecosystem of applications is required to run/configure/maintain headphones in 2020. The headphones can't be updated (use windows desktopapp for this). FYI, JBL companion app allows it. It could at least inform of new firmwares for features or security updates but no. This application doesn't also allow tuning the mic sensitivy which is a major problem on the MB660. The equalizer tuning is also very rough (no way to increase a bit the upper freqs as all manufacturer favor bass now over sound fidelity), an old amp from the 70' has finer settings. It keeps on losing connection to the device as well.

A mostly great app with a minor detriment. I like the control this gives you over Sennheiser products, but I would REALLY love to see an option to modify voice prompts (Bose's app supports this). I have my headphones paired with my phone and my laptop, and whenever I walk away from my laptop, my headphones repeat "Lost Connection" repeatedly. I am well aware that the connection is lost; I expect this when I walk away. A firmware update or an option in the app to turn this off would be great!

The latest update concerning creating an account for some features (I don't know what they specifically are) does not properly work as it is impossible (at least for me) to create an account. It keeps giving errors related to verification code. Additionally, the graphic interface that lets you manipulate equalizer is gone, now you have to rely on some sticks, which is not a big deal, but I really liked the old design.

One of the best sounds put there. U fortunately you need an engineering degree from MIT to use them, I have used literally almost every type of bluetooth head phones and these give you a head ache to set up, either they sink in the app or not with your phone or in your phone and not with your app, don't take the right one off or it goes crazy and God forbid you unplug them once.

This app worked great with the true wireless 2 buds but it is buggy as hell with the TW3's. It forgets whether or not the bass boost is turned on, often fails to connect to the buds (even though they're already Bluetooth connected to the phone), and frequently has menu options greyed out and unelectable for no reason. It's a pity because the tw3 buds themselves are amazing.

I have a Galaxy Note 10 and two devices connected to the app, my ambeo soundbar and MTW2 earbuds. On the main screen, the two device images keep flipping screen positions up and down continuously. It's annoying because I cannot select the device I want. My work around is removing the MTW2 and then reconnecting them. That brings me to their control screen, but the app shows an image of black buds, when mine are in fact white. Please fix this issue.

The saying "don't fix something that isn't broken" proves to be my favorite once again. Really enjoyed this app since I got my Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2. It was easy to use, not particularly slow, and had a handy feature for someone like me who's picky with sound but doesn't want to go into the specifics too deeply. The new update took all of the above plus points away and even deleted my presets. Sound actually became less customizable. Disappointing.

Really good and useful app, but not without a problems. This app have some bug(sometimes I just can't to select my HD350BT in the app, so i have to reload an app), equalizer works with a delay(about 1-3 seconds). And also, return the old equalizer please. New 'sound check' is not useful for me and my friends. It cannot to set up the sound which I like. Old equalizer with audio wave was so cool and easy to use.

Totally redesigned interface (totally new review) after last update! I'm extremely pleased with the new and much improved look and function of Smart Control. Only a few new things to customize in this release but it's been simplified and made necessary for any wireless Sennheiser products (almost) you have if you want the most out of your headphones. Too many improvements and not enough space to type them all. So just try it! It's a must have app that has just as much function as it does form.

Used to be alright but the new version just removes functionality from the EQ and deletes all your old presets in the process. Don't worry though, instead of the semi-useful EQ it used to have, the app now has an unnecessary Sennheiser account to harvest more data from you and a "Discover" tab to show you a bunch of ads for their other products. Classy!

To the developer: I think it's better to have phone controls to be two taps on either bud to answer/ hang up calls. Many times I would accidentally touch an earbud while on a call and the call hangs up. One tap is prone to accidental hang up, two taps is dummy proof. Otherwise love the new update with better visuals. Hope the next update fix the issue and/or give us an option to modify phone controls for our convenience.

Dear support , you completely messed up the app design, it's slower than before, secondly the app does not adapt to the theme change (dark and bright theme) , third , information shared doesn't fit correctly according to my device's display, also the section to enter to the new audio presents it's so annoying , the one dot equalizer it's gone , please bring back. In summary the only thing you needed to improve , was use the old user interface and adapt the dark theme according to the system.

One of the worst Bluetooth connection experiences I've encountered. Ends up in an error state making it impossible to connect and pair my Momentum 2 buds when the app before connecting the device in the Bluetooth settings. Found the solution and step by step approach that worked on Sennheizers website, would have been usefully to pit this text in the app itself when the connection process has been implemented way more complex than other competitors. The sound quality is still 5+ once working

Application improved in some areas like more presets and got worse on others. Removed for example the other equalizer curve interface that perhaps not everybody liked but I did. Its is slower to load than the previous version ( the one with the white background). Finally I cannot create an account.

Last update made the app usable. All the switches is on the main screen, you can remove switches if you don't use them. 3 slider eq is a step back imo, but I don't use it anyway. Earbuds are connecting easily now. The main problem as for me is that on order to configure earbuds I need to tap on 3 dots on their image in the app, and not in the image itself, could be quite confusing. Good work devs. Also, could you please bring feature:"stop playback when both earbuds are taken off (and not one)".

The app is alot worse. For me the worst part is I cant no longer change between devices if I only use one earplug. Like whats the point in that. It used to work with the old design. Also after update its clunky and slow. Why change something that isnt broken. Very dissapointed.

App does work. Does not have enough variability of the sound. Add an eq, bass boost etc. Like the Sony app. Reduced to 1 stars after the release of "all new app". On a Pixel 4a the top left menu is under the camera and can't be accessed. Useless. Same very limited sounds choices, add an EQ for god's sake.

After the update in April 2022 this app has made huge improvements. Lots of groundbreaking new features such as "Sound Check" a feature that helps the listener find exactly what sound signature is best. An outside of the box feature "Sound Zones" changes the sound profile based on where one is physically located such as home, work, or gym.

After the latest update (4.0.3) the app resets to the default settings everytime. Can't save Touch controls, can't save the EQ settings, connections take longer for some reason. It use to work fine and now it doesn't work at all for a user who likes to custom their experience.

Aren't updates supposed to improve the app ??? No more drag the dot to the perfect sound, sound check simply doesn't work, likes to disconnect when put in background, slow, clunky & tells me it's looking for a pair of headphones that it's already playing music through, if it isn't broke don't fix it

Updated. If you want to truly use your earbuds you have to wait around 1-3 minutes for the app to connect (Bluetooth messes the app up) and deal with turning on and off usless features just to get a nice sounding pair of ear buds to function. This is unacceptable beyond any point for me. I'll never buy another product might sell the buds just because of how bad the app is. To this day a month in I would love a refund because I'll never get more than 100$ back for something worth 300$

Useless to the bone. The headphones are paired with my S22 Ultra, the app finds the device automatically and CAN'T connect to it! "Awesome" job, Sennheiser, so much for functions and additional settings I CAN'T even access. Fix your app or your heaphones will be returned straight away to reseller.
