One of my favorite 'not strictly necessary' apps. Incredibly useful when out and about (in the middle of nowhere), or just pondering physics over a cup of tea. I often take a screenshot of the GPS screen during fieldwork, and reference it in my notes (i.e. surprising stratigraphy along road cuts). Sudden appearance of ads was a surprise, but they've helpfully added an option to turn them off.
I love this app and is my primary tool for checking sensor information for my phone because it does what is set to do, while being light and practical. I wanted to disable ads, and was very surprised that it does not require payment. I never thought I would be writing this, but if I can't pay for disabling ads, I would like at least an easy way to donate for disabling them. For now, I will be leaving a review.
Have only just installed so haven't checked out everything, but so far I'm mighty impressed. Simply, tidy, intuitive layout - a kind of symmetry. Everything is where you would expect it to be. At this stage I have only 2 things to complain of. 1. Can't find where to make donation so can occasionally turn off ads in good conscience. 2. Have removed from my apps to build todo list. [Edit #1] Now I've had a bit of a play, a feature to pause and/or take photo ie save image of each GRAPH would be really cool. Still an easy 5 stars.
This app is excellent with just one complaint that I hope the developers will fix. So one of the features of the app is that it rotates, but in my phone quick settings there is a option to disable auto rotate, but even when it's active the app still rotates on its own. However, I still give 5 stars because there is a option in settings to disable rotation. Other than that I love this app.
Good app overall, does what it says and I appreciate the option to opt out of ads (though I didn't needed). However, I would like the option to take snapshots of the graphs in addition to the widgets. Being able to take a snapshot of the graph and perhaps a way to dig into it too would be great additions.
Maximizes the usefulness of all the sensors on my note 9, reasonably accurate data (but that's Samsung's responsibility). I wish the app had some way of plotting the barometric readings on a graph, so that I could visualize pressure fluctuations throughout the month, for example. Huge plus to the developers for including the option to disable ads for free, I keep ads on as a little tiny thanks.
This app does exactly what it says it does. Its interface is clean and fast. But the thing that made me come here and leave a rating is the ability to turn off ads without paying. I was looking through the settings for something else and found that you could do that. I've left them on now, specifically because they support the devs and that's a really cool way to handle ads.
This app is super useful. Well, it's simple and straightforward, but gives me data I'd been looking for years to find. ... My only wish is the option to display barometric pressure in inches of mercury. I know it's a strange unit, but that's what's used in standard weather reports across the US.
Does what it claims and does it well. If you aren't aware of all the censors on your phone it can be a fun way to get acquainted with them, but is also good enough for slightly more technical use/research. The dev(s) are nice enough to have MINIMAL ads and even go so far as to let you disable them for free in the settings. I actually left them on just because of the gesture.
This app is excellent. It's clean and fast, very easy to navigate, and has a comprehensive list of sensors it can read. The sensor data is represented in a way that is easy to read. You even have the ability to turn of ads (I didn't because the devs deserve some support).
After reading great reviews, was looking forward to firing it up to check more than the weather. And it does! it provides very cool and simple readouts of device sensors. what it didn't do was tell me the temperature. that's perfectly ok - I was simply looking for a temperature app, which this does not appear to contain. However, I docked 2 stars bc the private policy leads to a website that doesn't exist. everything clickable should go to something live, esp. regarding privacy. Otherwise cool.
This app is really cool! I've always liked to see the insides of things, and seeing something even like the power draw of some sensors is really cool! I love that there's an option to remove ads for free. I left it on just for that reason. It'd be cool, however, if the popup ads were removed. Thanks!
It does all it says. Not sure about precision but is around of what I already approximately knew for few sensors which is very good. It's the hardware sensors in the end. Amazingly, it allows you to disable the Ads, as written. I choosed to re-enable the Ads as the developers needs to make money somehow. Thank you, keep the good work!
I'd be willing to use some Google play credits for a pro version just out of respect for including the option to disable ads for free. My phone lags a bit with ads enabled. I've used this app on Android 5, 8.1, and 9. It's quite useful, both for curiosity and because sometimes my gyro sensors just give a constant rotation value until I restart my phone, and without this app I wouldn't know for sure why my autorotation occasionally breaks.
huge range of tools with useful presentation. I wasn't able to find a feedback feature in the app so I'll post it here: it'd be nice if I could change the scale on the acceleration graph. The scale is so huge that accelerations barely show up on the lines.
its a pretty good app, but could do with having some of the bugs addressed. bug1: the sensors work perfectly if you look at the graph. but if you look at the numeric readouts, it jumps all over the place to the extremes... bug2: if the app cant find a specific sensor on your ohone it crashes, and needs closing and reopening, other than that, its a useful tool for your phone and deserves at least 3 stars.
Properly designed app, shows all necessary sensor data. This app has been a pleasure to use as it nicely categorizes and displays phone sensor information. This app remains clean, well organized and free of gimmicks. The developers did a fine job with this app and I wish there was some way I could support them. I couldn't seem to find an ad free upgrade in the app. Also, the developers are so ethical that they even included a setting to disable ads (not that I'd recommend doing so).
My auto rotate function had vanished from my note 9 and it was looking like I was going to have to start restoring my phone to factory settings. This app fixed the bug, I'm not sure if it was the act of installing the software or testing the gyroscope that did it. Thanks mate.
This app is awesome!! I didn't know there were so many sensors inside a device. It shows you every single one and gives you graphs that show movement, light exposure, gps coordinates etc. The interface is clean. I love this app.
This is a fairly good and useful app, but one very important setting option must be fixed. In "settings", for "pressure", there is no option for "inHg", for "inches of mercury". That is the only way pilots and weather forecasters work with barometric pressure in the U.S.
I love this app. Really cool data and representation. I like that there I add a feature to disable ads, but I'm leaving them on for now to support the developer. I would gladly pay for the disable ads options on any of the programs that I use. I wish more developers would offer that as an option.
Can't really understand how this app got 4.5 average. Rotation vector keeps increasing even if the phone is static. Need to switch back and forth different sensors to ensure proper values ( linear acceleration often starting off at some value when phone is static). Finally, graph range is always between max values, making the graph pretty much unreadable
If you need to know your battery's temperature this is the app. Other than that it doesn't seem to do much. I couldn't get the GPS to show coordinates. Guess it might be good to tell you if your accelerometer is not working. There's a graph that's interesting for about 3 minutes. It'll tell you where you are in Google maps, but Google does that already. A pretty underwhelming app if you ask me.
It's actually quite useful if you want that raw data on your phone and it can be cool exporting it to other apps too I think this is a great tool and nice to be able to see everything your phone can actually do I didn't know all phones had all these little sensors in them and it is cool to see them work and experiment. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a 10-year-old who wants to play around
Interface is nice... But proximity is either 8,0cm or 0,0cm. nothing else. Why no temperature? My phone has a temperature sensor, but there is no temperature option anywhere in the app... I can live with an ad covering part of a screen, but I cannot use this app with full screen ads popping up now and again. So I am uninstalling.
Incredible, the developers of this app clearly care about quality. And the option to disable ads without a fee was something I had never seen before, I was so impressed I actually opted to keep them simply so I could support the developers. Very impressed.
It would be great if the app respected my auto-rotate screen OFF setting. It's pretty annoying when the app keeps jumping between vertical and horizontal when I move my mobile around to aquire sensor readings, tnx. Other than that it does what it says on the box.
If you think the accelerometer shouldn't read 9.81m/s^2 when the phone is stationary, I'd like to know where you are because it apparently isn't Earth. Neat tools. Ads are a problem. I want usability expanded: what if we could filter phone movement out of magnetic readings and diagnose electronics without contact?
No temp, no damping of sensors so you can make sense of what is being displayed, devs might want a refresher on the android sensor library. People have been complaining about the accelerometer reading 9 m/s/s in a particular direction even when phone is still, I believe it is reading gravity.
I hit the "Disable ads" checkbox expecting it to take me to a Play Store page where I could buy the paid version. But there is no paid version! They literally just let you turn off the ads! Since I can't throw the devs a few bucks, least I can do is leave a review. It works quite well, excellent for debugging issues with your device or just testing the accuracy of its various sensors.
