Sensors test

Was having trouble with my nexus 4 proximity sensor, helped align my screen protector and see if I adjusted it right. Clean app.

Review edited: Original issue with Samsung S5 G900F after update to Android 6.0 (reset to factory defaults & Fresh App installation). Body sensors: Heart rate sensor this needs specific permission so to be used by this App. ( Apps designed for Android 6.0 will now ask for a permission when they need it.) While this APP it did not notify me about needing this permission. Manually given permission this solved the problem. Now the sensor it is visible to this App and fully working. I wish to thanks this software developer, for all help offered, and the exchanged feedback.

Does it what it's supposed to. My new phone keeps veering right in motion games even on flat table. Checked but not sure what values should be in accelerometer. X=0 y=0 z=9.8 Is this okay. Yes, calibrated in game too. Didn't work. Could it have been the gyroscope. VR videos were shaky too. It was a new Honor 6x. So i returned the device. Thanx for replying!!

Easy way to test whether a sensor is working or if it is broken/faulty. Did this with my proximity sensor - 0/null reading means it isn't working! Can also compare with readings on a known working phone to see if the numbers are off. Need a separate app to fix/recalibrate if it is a software issue. Need a technician if it is hardware issue

Great, but there is no wifi sensor, GPS sensor, compass or a battery sensor, your apps are great! Also how do you make an app without ads? You can't make money without them! Great job, sacrificing your money and time to our user experience! The best dev yet! Check out this other app called 'sensors multitool' perhaps you can take some ideas to make it even better. Simple ui , no ads... The best app developer and app... Also some devs don't even reply to comments about their apps not working! Reply to this comment (I know you will) and I'll change the rating to 5 stars. There should also be a watch video to donor feature

Does what it says on the tin, but it would be nice to have some more information about the numbers, such as how a phone at rest on a level table, for instance, should be reading. My phone had suddenly started auto-rotating, so I downloaded this app to see if any sensors have funny readings, but I don't have a sense for what is right or wrong. UPDATE: I compared with another device, and saw that my phone thought it was spinning at a funny angle; while pondering the issue, I got a Hangout message, and the phone vibration kicked the gyro or whatever back to normal! I would strongly recommend that the app should have a simple help option, or just display an extra text box at the bottom saying that for acceleration, for instance, on a level surface you should see approximately (0, 0, 9.81 ms). What would be even more wonderful would be to have a simple lack of motion test - place device on flat surface, press a TEST button, and the various motion sensors are checked to see if they are giving stable and sensible readings.

All this does on the LG V20 is tells me the function of the various sensors. I was not looking for a description of the sensors. I am looking for something that will actually test the sensors, this won't do that on the V20.

Great app to test your sensors to see if they are broken every time you accidentally drop your phone down the stairs. :) Though some kind of logging feature could help if you want to test the motion sensors on your phone by shaking it and you can't see the screen.

All pages don't show any data and top two mixes are mostly blank. Will update when it works. Edit: rebooted phone and it fixed

Wanted an app that would act as a lux meter to get an idea of the performance of a light dimmer I bought, got not only that but access to all the other sensors on my phone too! Great little app, no annoying ads, highly recommended.

had to test if the proximity sensor still works after replacing the screen. the app tells you exactly what each sensor measures (and there are really a lot of them)

I have a problem in my phone. When I make a call, during call, screen goes black. Display returns when opposite call receiver ends the call. Please help me to fix this problem.

Had an an issue with the proximity detector. Thought a recent app installation was causing the problem, turns out it was the screen protector. Saved me a lot of time chasing misc Android settings.

Good app. It helped me to find the light and proximity sensor on my phone. I needed that to be able to calibrate the sensor settings with a different app. Sometimes the proximity sensor got stuck on NEAR, but I don't know if it is this app or my sensor which is faulty. Edit: I later worked out that the glass on my phone is loose, and when it sits proud of the case, the sensor reads NEAR always. Nothing wrong with this app.

Uses to test my proximity sensor, found that due to my new screen guard, it was not working properly.

But should note that if the sensors aren't being displayed, then my device doesn't probably have them

So my proximity sensors weren't broken, they were just showing near no mather what until a reboot which is strange. I will keep this for a week or two just to keep testing the proximity sensors.

Delightfully nerdy! I love to see the numbers coming out of my sensors. I'm going to use the hall effect sensor in my phone to do some rough amperage measurements on a DC circuit.

I gone through some forum, they suggested there is a screw behind the phone to fix the proximity sensor problem . With this app, I tested how much I need to tied the screw

Sensors that are not available on your phone will not be listed. With that said. Useful little app. Does what it says on the tin well.

Magnetic field uncalibrated screen shows no x y z values for my device... Does that mean it's broken on my device? The calibrated one shows values though..

Can you do any thing with virtuals sensors in this app
