It's okay, lots of notifications that repeat themselves but my biggest issue is if I turn off my bluetooth for whatever reason and then turn it back on when I'm in the car, it NEVER reconnects, it just always says disconnected and then I need to delete the my whole set up and reconfigure it again. I've had to do this more then a dozen times. It's very frustrating and I find myself not even using it, which is disappointing.

The App is great! chest clip was an excellent idea! wish I had it when I was making cross country drives every month a few years ago. Really gives you peace of mind while prioritizing safety! I love not having to worry about if baby is too hot or too cold, whether or not he's breathing, etc because the app will notify me!

*Update: App is still draining 29% of my battery when the sensor is not being used even after a fresh reinstall. App uninstalled until they can fix the battery drain issue.* Not a fan of the constant notification for this app. I don't need to be notified that the sensor is not being used. Tried to hide the notification but then the app was constantly running and draining my battery. Pixel 5a 5G

App notifications are constantly wrong: often tells me it's "time to take a break" immediately after clipping my child in, that the child is still in car after I've brought him inside etc. The OBD port sensor is inexplicably huge, I had to remove the outer case of the sensor and pull out the port coupling so it hangs loose in the box just to get the panel back on in my Hyundai Elantra. The obnoxious jingle it plays when you turn the car off is so loud it wakes the baby. Extremely disappointing.

so far I love this app and the features provided by the sensor safe chest clip. although I tested out the features like the "child in car" and even tho I think there should be no reason to forget your child.... it's a good feature to have bcuz some people do forget.....

It mostly works. It does tell me when the cars temperature and it does say shes in the car and notices when the buckle is clipped. The app does fail to notice when the buckle is unclipped once the car is off and will continue to tell me "child in car" and that embarrassing when im out at any store or dinner. Also will continue to tell me "its time for a break" even though my child was taken out the car seat for hours at a time or clipped back in a day later.

Not sure the point in this. Keep getting ambient temperature alerts. The temperature is wrong. Even when the AC has been blasting on high for a 40 minute drive it still doesn't read right at all. I know dang well it's not 87-89 degrees in this car. Also the clip alerts seem kind of glitchy. The failure on this is the fact you need a app for it to work. I've had horrible luck with things that require apps. The developers can't seem to get them working smoothly.

It's a great gadget to have. The app is missing some basic functions, or they are hard to find inside the UI. One of the features that I am not sure if it is missing or I did not find it is the unit for the temperature, it is showing the temperature in farenheit and I would like to have it in celsius. Another feature would be the voice announcer volume, if you are in the car with the baby sleeping and you get a temperature warning, the volume is always the max the phone can output.

First install did not work but i guess that was because i ran the thing without installing the OBD adapter first and on the second try, it was not able to find anything anymore. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and now it work perfectly. Only annoying thing is the constant "Not connected" notification. You could add "Reset app" and notification settings somewhere. Otherwise the app is now perfectly working after the new installation.

It took a few attempts to get the latest firmware update and now that it's updated I was only able to connect it to one phone. Before the firmware upgrade my wife and I were both able to connect but now only one phone can. I've tried logging out then in, tried rebooting my phone and also uninstalled/reinstalled. Still refuses to detect the sensor.

No issues installing the app, updating firmware or connecting to my phone. Only problem is that it doesn't read a temperature, greyed out. Not enough info online to know if this is a vehicle computer issue (2010 Dodge Caravan), SensorSafe 2.1 issue, or app itself. Annoying when it's touted as having the ability to alert if temp is too hot. Will contact the company. UPDATE: Issue was the battery needed replacing. 5 stars for great customer service!

90% of the time the app says that I'm connected to another car which is utterly false. It's more of a pain to get working than it actually has utility. Right now it honestly seems like a good idea that just has awful execution if you can call the fact that it hardly works execution. It also, for some reason shows a notification on my phone that I can't remove, all of the time.

update: customer service was AMAZING. contacted me quickly and worked fast to help me troubleshoot! all seems to be working as it should now! doesnt work at all. the app.wont even sync recognize my sensor. but the sensor does make noise and do the minimal it can without the app. totally annoyed this is the whole reason I got this seat!

Newly updated version of the app still can't update firmware. Stuck on "Updating firmware" showing 0% and an update notification cycling through "Connecting", "Waiting for bootloader", "Installing firmware", tried for a total of an hour trying to get it to work. Edit: I gave up. The only way I managed to get rid of the notification was to connect to an iPhone to do the update.

If you have a Hybrid vehicle, dont even bother to try it. App has an error during vehicle type update. So the sensor has wrong info and beeps all the time during the drive. And you cant take it out! It was designed as if it was meant to stay there for ever, clicks into the OBD 2 socket and locks in place. Will be remouving it in pieces unfortunatly.

Tried connecting to the app and nothing it manage to do it once and then I keep getting that it cant connect to OBD port. My car's OBD port is ONLY used for when I take it for inspection and the computer reads the car perfectly. Faulty app. Would not recommend using it. Will not try again. Just really bad. I'm staying away from the app and going to trust my parental instinct. Thanks for nothing and a garbage app.

Inconsistent and difficult to justify the expense of the seat with sensorsafe. It appeared to work first time after trying a few times for it to connect. It then stopped connecting to seat and obd sensor. After mutliple attempts of uninstalling app, removing sensor from car etc.... it worked a couple of time. then again fails to connect. Tried again to uninstall and restart. No good. This is so unreliable its not worth buying over a seat without.

The unbuckle sensor does not work like it's supposed to. As soon as I turn my truck off it says the clip is unbuckled. 9/10 it doesn't work. The one time it did, I did get an alert. While I don't rely on this feature, it would give me some extra peace of mind if my child were with someone else. Yes, I am that mother who worries about anyone who is not me 🤷‍♀️ The tethers are also really hard to tighten. The temp feature seems to work. Everything else seems very nice. My 18mo old likes it.

The app keeps on givng false notifications: "child alone in car" when i am seating next to her or we are both simply not in the car, "seatbelt unbuckled" works inconsistently, as it rings only 80% of the time when getting her out of the car. It anyway should not be ringing at all in this case in my opinion as the car is switched off. The temperature notification is annoying and can't be switched off (i know that my car is cold in the morning, i dont need to be notified about it).

My car is parked in the driveway, and the app keeps connecting to it, leaving an undismissable notification. The car is parked, and not turned on, so why is the dongle powered and connecting to my phone? very annoying, it needs to recognize the car is off and disable itself.

The temperature gauge doesn't seem to work properly. It gives a constant warning of a too hot ambient temperature. We had ac running before getting into car and even 45 minutes later of driving with full ac it still reads at 100 degrees. My 10 year old is back with the baby and it is definitely not that hot. Is there any way to calibrate this?

I have the same issue with the firmware update for the obd car device and once I click on it says something went wrong. I have yet to figure out how exactly the app since I cant get the error message to go away. This makes a great feature completely useless!

Seems to connect to the sensors in the car/seat quickly. Definitely makes sure you stay attentive to your baby. The app is difficult to stop it once it's going, probably a feature more than a fault.

Terrible app! I just brought my newborn home today and even after testing to make sure it worked a week before hand, the app wouldnt connect and it took me an hour to get it. it keeps saying it nreds to update to thr latest firmeare version but keeps giving me an error message asking me to restart the connector. Restart it how? If you unplug it and plug it back in, youre stuck with trying to get the damn thing to recinnect for another hour. Great concept, but you need better app developers.

App is always giving me trouble, either constantly signing me out or making me resync my car seat and sensor. Recently it's started making the warning chime every time my car comes to a stop (brakes) instead of being turned off. So the entire time I'm trying to drive anywhere, the thing chimes every time I hit a red light. So annoying and not happy with my purchase.

This app is buggy and often gives incorrect information. Almost daily it tells me that I've moved the seat to a new car deapite that never happening. On a few occasions its alarmed telling me my child was left in the car while the baby is with me and no where near my vehicle. Please update this app to make it useful, as it is its just a pain to have.

App is completely worthless. Never works, so I uninstalled and detached the module from the car. Too many issues to list. Don't buy a car seat for the Sensor Safe feature specifically, because you will be very disappointed you did.

I can appreciate that it is meant to keep my baby safe and that is the reason there are 2 stars, but the car is off and parked in the driveway, the belts unbuckled and my phone is screaming at me in the middle of the night about critically low temperature and woke up myself and the baby... twice. This must be fixed, it's pretty unacceptable to spend $500 on a car seat and this is what you get in the app that connects to it.

The app is not recognizing the ODB port. The port is working as it is chiming when its suppose to. I was told by a representative to drive the car around as it connects. It still not working. I was also told company is due to make updates for Apple then Android. I am so disappointed. I am hoping the updates are implemented soon. I would hate to have to return the car seat. I just bought 3 days ago.

The app doesn't link up to the seat. What was the point in selecting this seat if the app doesn't make it do what it is supposed to do? There should be some time and money invested into giving people a working app. Edited- when trying to get my app to link up to the seat, it is not found. Edited- The chest clip battery is not dead. It lights up. The piece in the car beeps when I turn off the vehicle. The app and the piece in the car do not link up.
