Why they stopped letting us use the smart cards and now FORCE us to use this bad app. First showing would not open the lockbox no matter what I tried.
I've been using the Sentri for approximately 3 years and happy with it overall but a headache to use Sentriconnect to grant access to out of town realtors. Made a suggestion to discontinue Sentriconnect and only use Sentrikey but my suggestion was met with a "closed ticket request". Like any app there will be some bugs and overall they are good but must get rid of Sentriconnect.
Was an IOS user with no issues. But the Android app seems to be very unstable. Freezes up and unresponsive. For example, lock would unlock, but would not retrieve the property info because the app froze.
Too many bugs. Never work. Always you need to restart your cellphone. I wish they will bring back the cards.
Frustrating. Bluetooth function does not work consistently. Suggest that your board look for another option
Works great,, when it works, usually have to get a day code to open bluetooth boxes now.
This new version is rife with bugs. For starters, it doesn't render correctly on my Pixel2 . In trying to create a one-day code the year space does not show completely and cannot be edited. Looking at access logs, the screen text is cut off on the top and bottom. Most buttons on the bottom of the screens are cut off, barely visible and impossible to click. It should have been tested more thoroughly before release. Disappointing.
Automatically updated after I used a lockbox, and then the app wouldn't work at all. :( Tried restarting, but it was stuck on a settings error or a black screen regardless. Uninstalling and re-installing seemed to work... we will see. Need the card to work as well as the app, for backup!!! Too many problems, and it's way to stressful too have these issues in front of clients.
Sentra boxes have become a nightmare! Box does not always open! or only opens a tad bit & not enough to retrieve key! CS helped, then afterwards problem persisted! Card generates same bad results. Problem came on suddenly in the Fall. Plus, not all my boxes are listed on the site. This should never have happened. Give it up!!! Not all cutting edge tech is worthwhile.
It works fairly well when it works but lately (last two weeks) it's been giving me the same message ("Offline properties") everytime I've tried to open lockboxes. When I call CS tells me to update, uninstall/install, restart. Or told it was it a problem w my phone connection. Done it all 4 or 5 times now. Still having problems. Frustrating.
As of right now, I downloaded the new version of the Sentri key up here and it's been so glitchy that it's been embarrassing in front of clients when I can't get lock boxes open. I have an LG thin Q android, newer phone. the app is very slow and it keeps freezing to where I have to power my phone down to reset it. Major issues going on, needs fixes ASAP
Pretty useful and love the safety features but it's pretty buggy as well. I'll do the security check and it will still send out saftey check messages, I've also had it where I finished showing a home and even after I concluded the walkthrough and closed it all out it kept saying I didn't check in and sending out safety messages...that's super annoying and worrisome for your contacts.
STILL the most useless, bug filled piece of junk app I've ever had to deal with. In addition to all the other issues cited by everyone else, I have to delete and reload the application every time I want to unlock a property. SentriKey tech support says it's a known issue they've been aware of for months across some Android phones and they've done absolutely nothing to fix it. If an association is paying, handsomely, for a service it's not their responsibility to make the piece of junk work
The new app is very buggy and unreliable. it freezes on me regularly, and it's not intuitive. It feels like a Beta version of an old version of the app. Why would you replace a perfectly functioning app with this?... Update: app still doesn't work right. I'm going back to the card. Please get rid of this garbage app.
My app just gets stuck on AUTHENTICATING. Super glitchy.
Relies too heavily on cell service. would be better if we were able to generate a 1-day code for ourselves at the office (where wifi is plentiful...) overall, I miss the days of regular lockboxes, sentrilock boxes aren't all they're pitched to be.
You took away the ability to update lockbox settings with Bluetooth in the app. All this push to not use cards and now you require us to use cards to change a lockbox from defaults... Insanely stupid to remove a valuable functionality. Now you tell us cards are going away leaving us with absolutely no way to configure custom hours on a lock box, a feature you removed last year. Your answer is irrelevant to my complaint.
Awful. There is no way to customize your lockbox settings and no tools in this app, or in SentriKey online. This interface is even more complicated than it was before. I need to customize a lockbox and now can't. Hating every second of it. Not an improvement.
the last "update" is a huge step backwards! It doesn't look like they even consulted agents when they designed it. Access log use to be very well laid out. now its very time consuming. if i could go back to the previous version, i would in a heartbeat.
This app has worked well for several years but suddenly will not open. I have spent the entire day on the phone with the IT person at my Board of Realtors, with SentriKey support, and with 4 different people at T-Mobile. A higher level IT person from SentriKey was supposed to call me back, but I have not heard from anyone yet, so I have to cancel my appointments for tomorrow. I am out of business until Sentrilock can provide me with an app that will open.
Unless I'm missing it somewhere, when I had this app on ios the setting menu showed the renewal and expiration status of the sentricard. I now use Android and I dont see this feature. I have to log in to the desktop version to check renewal status. This is a feature that should be available on the app also.
owned by NAR. Horrible. Has potential. just found out there was an update available but they chose not to allow it to update automatically. I guess they thought it better to have users and clients standing at the door getting more and more frustrated. Terrible. Been in the real estate industry since 1981.
I love the app but it literally crashes everytime I open it. Then I have to reopen and start over. It works in the second try but it'd frustrating I have to wait for the pop up to give me the option to close the app or continue to wait for it.
All I'm getting is black screen after update. I uninstalled and reinstalled and seems to work right after installing but later doesn't work at all. Seems useless right now. Wish I hadn't updated. I haven't been able to update my card on my windows 10 computer for quite a while too. Service seems to be on a decline.
After the required update, i have to reboot my phone every time i use the app or it juat says "unknown error". We dont have blue tooth devises and you cant see whats below "or" my phone. Old version worked fine. This is a perfect example of if its not broke dont fix it.
App works when it wants to, which isn't very often. To get it to start working again, I had to delete all cached memory, passwords, delete the app, restart the phone, put it in airplane mode for 5 minutes, then give internet access back, download the app, open it and was finally allowed to enter the login information. It's a long drawn out process. Putting this here, in hopes that it helps others, because IT support isn't terribly supportive.
