Serdar Ortaç

Serdar Ortaç (16 February 1970; Istanbul), Turkish singer, songwriter and composer. It was accepted by some music critics that he set the standards of a period in Turkish pop music but was criticized negatively because the songs he produced after the beginning of the 2000s were repeating each other.

First years
Born on February 16, 1970 in Istanbul, Vakıf Gureba Hospital, Serdar Ortaç completed his primary education in Kocamustafapaşa and secondary education in Suadiye High School. He completed his high school education at Haydarpaşa Industrial Vocational High School, turning and leveling. His father was a plastic moulder with a lathe in a small shop. As a child he worked with his father, and on weekends he sold bagels and water. Thanks to his father, he has learned how to work and to stand. He started his higher education in the American Culture and Literature Department of Bilkent University but left the university before he finished his education.

He worked as a program producer and presenter for one year in one of the radio stations in Istanbul. An album producer listening to radio programs was offered a contract with RAKS, one of the record label companies of the period. In this way, he had the chance to sing his own songs with his own voice and made his first album.
