App closes all the time. I keep having to uninstall and reinstall app. Paid for cloud storage and after a month in automatically cancelled and won't let me renew. I lost all storage that was on the cloud due to cancelation. It won't let me subscribe for second camera, only one. Pointless buy, if the app worked it would be great. Camera has good video and sound quality, but app never works. And now I'm pissed that my cloud storage is gone!!!
Disconnects intermittently, does not notify of motion, does not pick up sounds well, invasive permissions (why does it need access to contacts? App works without enabling this persimmon). Never been able to change "splash screen" setting, app would just crash. Unfortunate since when the camera and app does work, it works great. The camera actually has great clarity.
Used the camera for two years. Kept having issues. Lately there was flickering, and now it keeps saying it's offline when it is still connected properly. I unplugged it and back again, camera seems up and running but still says offline. I am fed up with this and will go to a local store for something different now.
Cameras were working well for a couple months with an occasional dropping from the Wi-Fi and having to reconnect. This last time it bumped from the Wi-Fi I have not been able to reconnect for 2 days. And I'm having a difficult time resetting and starting over.
The app opens, a message pops up and says it has met some problems and will exit. I have contacted the company and nothing so far. The whole point of this is to be able to monitor my house and animals when we are away. Cant seem to do that.very frustrated.
So far I have had no problems. I use it as a baby monitor and I love it, I can watch my son while I am at college or grocery shopping and someone is babysitting him. I can hear everything and also speak into it which is amazing. It can control the camera to move where it's pointing. Overall I believe it's worth the money
Literally just fix the application closing when you view the camera/ ECT. You would have at LEAST a functional app. I had to send the fully functional webcam back just because the application software does not want to function.. or take the app down.
Had this work well for about a year, but now the app crashes on me after 10 seconds of using it. I get a message saying " sorry, the App has run into a problem and will exit ". Please fix this so I can enjoy this product again!
If your reading this it's too late, just return the camera to Amazon! The camera itself is amazing! Functions and features are great for the money but let me tell you the software or the App that communicates with the camera is a freaking JOKE! I have dealt with so many issues in about 2 weeks of use it's dumb! A security camera don't do much good when it doesn't do what you set it to do! Awesome hardware BS software! Manuals English grammar is even a joke! Send camera back to Amazon for refund!
Tried to used this app using BlueStacks android emulator for Windows 10 with no luck. BlueStacks was terrible and could not open SereneVeiwer without crashing. The app works well enough on my tablet but I wanted it to work on my desktop. I opened a browser and entered in the IP address of the camera 192.168.1.X. It brought me to the camera login. Log in and wants to install a plugin that does not work. Select not to use plugin and you get the camera showing live feed. You can disable the prompt to use plugin. Hope this helps.
OMG, I had no idea so many people are hating on this app. Oddly enough, I have had very few problems with the app or the IP camera. This app has worked flawlessly for me. I use the SereneLife IP camera model IPCAMHD30. The app and the camera seem to work well together. I've been using it a couple of years now and only had a minor software update problem once but it was resolved. Not sure what other cameras use this app. I was thinking about buying more cameras. :)
App crashes every time you try to view the camera. All there are is issues, from adding a device to trying to get it to go to a wireless signal. I would give this negative stars if I could.
horrible app I cant access it because it wants to access and manage my phone calls and access all my media files and photos in my app already which I believe have nothing to do with this at all. it's all new recorded stuff it's no reason to manage my phone calls
The app just close automatically after 10 seconds. I had to buy cloud for that reason. I'm very disappointed as I can't watch it from anywhere on my phone.
Very easy to set up and install. Works great and does everything it's supposed to do. The motion detection is particularly nice. Would not hesitate to buy again.
Absolutely horrible. This app crashes constantly and makes the security device unusable. I will be returning the device for a refund.
It worked well years ago. Now it's constantly crashing. I'll either toss it or figure out a way to hack the hardware and get some use from it.
Ok for viewing but can not use app buttons outside of just viewing. Interface is broken. I just get "first use preperation". Keep having to reinstall to make it work.
App was working decent but quirky for a while but has gotten to the point where it's barely useable. Really makes the cameras almost worthless.
Really is as bad as the others say, also avoid firmware updates to the camera as they can corrupt the camera entirely ... also if your camera viewing app is this terrible you better bet your stars your live video footage is available online to hackers.
I can not add my cameras to the app. It worked fine several months ago, but the app stopped working completely now, making the cameras useless.

Clicking on + sign to add camera does not work, clicking on it or anywhere on the page does nothing. So frustrating.
It worked well when I first had it, now i can only have the app open for a few seconds before it crashes. FIX THIS AND I'LL GIVE 5 STARS
Not the best app, it's a doozy of time trying to connect the camera whenever the wifi glitches out.
Wont connect to my wifi. Wont scan qr code. Haven't gotten further to see if it works or not because of this.
Don't need the app to continuously download 800 pictures of random stuff ! Delete it and couple days later another 800 pictures ! Non stop !
Horrible. Crashes constantly, within seconds of opening. The app designer should be embarrassed.
It has to be hard wired instead of wireless. Cannot open settings. Says error.
Everything looked great: picture clear and functionality tested. A friend came to my house, told me they were there, and my alarm didn't go off?! I double checked everything.The notifications/everything was on.That's when I discovered that the app closes on you and the camera goes into hibernation if you do not have the app opened and viewed. So, if your phone is at lock screen, after a few minutes the camera hibernates and won't register any movements making the camera utterly worthless.
