Has been a good app in the past, but lately the provision of episode information hasn't been up to date. And it's totally absent from my phone with the Oreo OS, along with no series images. However, the app seems to be functioning better with Android 11 - episode airing info is there but not totally up to date in some cases, and graphics are present. Please address these issues!
One of the most useful apps I've ever used! The only thing I'd suggest is the ability to filter shows in my library by streaming service, as you can in Discover. If the developer added that, it would be a perfect app :)
A great concept. I have used it for a long time. Updates sometimes go stagnant and I'm sure the majority of the problems are outside of the developer's control. Television production is not a stable industry and some release dates have become unknowable since the start of the pandemic. If there was a direct way for registered users to contribute information, the app might have better accuracy on a lot of these shows. The pro upgrade is still worth it. This app is worth trying out.
This used to be my go to guide but it has lost all credibility. It misses shows and doesn't even catch up when forced to do a manual update. I now use Trakt as it is far more reliable.
May 2022 : The SeriesGuide (SG) app and widget are visually appealing and well-organized. Appreciate the opensource and user forum. I subscribed so I can have a SG widget for Shows (list episodes from non-current series and episodes for current series). To date, all shows that I am interested in have been accurately listed.
Everything was great until the last update. Now there are no posters & images. I've followed all the instruction, cleared the cache, even reinstalled. Nothing! I've checked Google Play Services as suggested, and everything is up-to-date. Reinstalled Series Guide, and still no images.
No longer adding new episodes for shows. I'm missing several episodes from several shows. For instance all the Chicago franchise latest episodes aren't appearing
Loved app. Paid for app. But, start times have gotten erratic almost to the point of unusability for some shows. Edit: 1 year, 3 months later. I still use it but my opinion hasn't changed. It has become *more* erratic & unreliable and I am alternating between anger & frustration.
App lost all of my information! It had ONE job to do, and it couldn't do that! A note pad would have worked better! Now it expects me to pay??
Great app! It would be great if you would give us the option of forming lists for movies as well. Or any way of organizing by categories.
Useless. Updated days or even weeks AFTER episodes aired — if at all. I've reported this numerous times but nothing has improved over the last 2 or 3 years. And, of course, the developer accepts money but no responsibility. It's so nice to live in a time where no one takes responsibility for anything. I canceled my subscription.
This is perfact app for android phone to sync with trakt, I have one complaint though, there is no Android TV version available. You can sideload phone version which works somewhat but scrolling doesn't work.
My experience with this App is amazing. I have been using it for years now and had no issues till today.
Your app doesn't work, when I want to add a show, even though I'm connected to internet, it says "connect to a network, then try again". I tried with VPN too, but same result.
App works great for managing a lists of movies and shows, as well as movies and shows that have been previously watched. You are able to get shows you want to watch added to a "watchlist" in app. If you add the show, the from the show select "manage list". This is the functionality that I wasn't able to find previously that lead me to leave a lower review. Since I see I am now able to have a separate list I've edited my rating.
After a few minutes of fiddling with the app, so far, it looks pretty good. What I would really like to see is an option to set *where* I am following a show, e.g. Netflix, Amazon Prime, DVD, local file, whatever. Per show or even per season. Also, I'd like to be able to move something that was put into "Special Episodes" into a Season, as is the case with Doctor Who (2005): Depending on the episodes guide used, special Christmas episodes and such might be counted as part a season.
Switched to this app after the previous one I used was shut down by the creator. One thing I'd love to see with SeriesGuide is the ability to check off episodes from the widget. I'd also prefer to see the next episode I have to watch rather than which episode is the most recent to be released. Edit: Great! I look forward to the update. Thanks for the response. Also, I've fixed the second issue.
is using this app for at least five years away longer, so I definitely think it's a very useful app. It's just after all these years, we are still waiting on filters on the popular add show section to filter out shows you've already checked off. it's just common sense to be able to filter those off. This not going to lower my rating and I am not going to stop using the program, I would just would love to have that feature.
This was a great app when I first started using it, but all of a sudden there are several things that seem to be wrong with the app. I'm seeing episodes of shows that don't actually exist, incorrect network info for shows, and several times I was showing multiple copies of one single episode showing on different days. There's also a red notice on several shows/episodes that I'm not sure what it means, or how to correct it. Also, the yearly subscription jumping by $3.99 is rather ridiculous.
A great app all together! It would be nice if the search bar could search movies and tv shows collectively instead of having to switch to the individual tabs before searching for a title. This would just make the searching process a lot faster. Other than that, this app is pretty much close to perfect. I absolutely love it!
This app used to be great and up to date with all the shows, times, descriptions, and imagery. Now it hasn't been updated since mid-October and is missing a ton of content past then so it really isn't that useful anymore. Wish the developer would keep it updated.
Going to re-evaluate subscription later. Not syncing anymore. If I have to continually manually update then there is no point. Whatever the last update was. It didn't work. I have only a few shows added to the app. 1 of the shows I watched an episode of recently and the app correctly says so in the history section - yet in the show section itself the episode remains unwatched. Update. A year on. No response. Still the same. Im cancelling.
