SermonAudio Android Edition

The upgrade to version 2.0 is 100% worthwhile. Do it now! All the features we've been waiting months for, are all there and more. This is the definitive sermon app NOW! It was always excellent but just got better. Save and store your sermons first though (see below). Recently failed to work! Lost over 1000 sermons (and no backup faculty)! Highly frustrated. Please fix! This is my default sermon app.

I'm very happy with this app. It installed easily and works really well. It's easy to navigate, especially when looking for a specific speaker, it is quicker than previously. Hearing the Word of God is such a true blessing and using this app has made it easier to access this precious material. Thank you Sermon Audio 🙏❤️🇦🇺 Now on the 26 March everytime I click to look at something it disappears😕 this is so disappointing.

The low score is for the app itself, not the content. The content, of course, is great and gives many people like myself access to excellent preaching and teaching. Unfortunately, the app itself is a step above garbage. The iPhone version works almost perfectly, but for some reason the android version is very buggy and not user friendly. Issues ranging from sermons claiming to have downloaded but never do, to just plain confusion when it comes to which ones you've listened to and how much.

I love this app. It could use a little cleanup and better navigation, but overall very good. One note or suggestion for the developer: The play controls could use some work. When you tap the "skip back" or "rewind" button, it skips back a very odd value, something like 1 min 15 sec, or something like that. A much better option during playback would be one button to skip back 10 or 15 sec, and then a skip forward button that goes forward 30 seconds. This is kind of the standard of most podcast apps. Another great option would be to have a share option clearly in the menu or even on the playback screen so that you can shoot a link to friends that also have the app. Right now, the best option i have is to screenshot the episode and send that to a friend so he can search it on his own. Other than these small navigation and convenience features, it is a very nice app and has a wonderful, vast library of wonderful sermon material. Soli Deo Gloria!

One of the best Apps going! I use it every work day. I do lots of driving so I can now hear lots of sound teaching. The only frustration I find is the length of programs and no way of filtering them. For instance, I was looking for some teaching by Ken Ham. I wanted a few longer teachings but found that I had to trawl through LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of 1-2 minute messages. Very frustrating! It would be helpful if there was a way to filter for minimum length programs. Thanks for this great tool!

This version is evidently not compatible with Android 10. Worked with all versions of 9, now it opens and immediately closes. I uninstalled and reinstalled, same result. I hope you can get it working with Android 10 soon. It worked very well with Android 9, and that's what the star rating reflects. Update, Sept 13, 2019. Sermon Audio replied 2.9.13 addresses the problem. Great. How about getting this new version into the Play Store? Very 2.9.12 is version you can download. Update:. 2.9.13 works.

This app hasn't been aging well. It's bulky (in both its content and implementation) so it doesn't run well on my phone (Galaxy s10e) or offer an intuitive interface. Plus, most speakers and churches are offering apps of their own now that are streamlined. Still, it's a must have resource site simply due to its size and name.

Was a good app but since recent updates unable to cast to Roku on TV from my Samsung Note 9. Used to be reliable but cannot connect anymore. The cast to Roku does not cast when selecting "play to Roku" for a sermon from the app. I can screen share just fine from my browser but the app seems unresponsive since the last few updates. UPDATE: the same problem continues unchanged. Also some audio sermons on Roku are greatly distorted with chatter sounds. After a full year still the same problem.

I hope you're well. Just an issue of late. I've had sermon audio app for a long time now and it's been fine but last few days when I open the app and play a sermon, the screen goes black and afre a few seconds the sermon stops playing and the app crashes. Do you know why this could be? Android User. Many thanks

As of the last update early april 2022 I haven't been able to play sermons because the app crashes when I try to play one, android samsung galaxy S8 Great resource for sermons and teachings but it's an antiquated app that lacks options and controls as far as technical support in app like audio quality options, membership? Why cant I save favorites? Video quality is iffy also.

For as much as it cost every month for a church to use their service, the sermonaudio app is absolutely horrible. Go try to find a sermon or search for a passage through the app and you'll realize how poorly designed it is. The whole website and service feels clunky like I'm using something from 2003. The app feels like I'm using something from 2010. Both the website and the app need to be completely revamped and redone for it to feel up-to-date.

Needs buttons to skip forward 30 seconds and skip back 10 seconds. The app can be quite slow at times. And I often have issues when downloading sermons. If it wasn't the largest collection of Christian sermons on the play store I would probably use another app.

Video streaming not working on either device i have. I've tried a variety of media apps, only VLC works, but when i click on the video stream, all i get is audio and no video. Now when i go to Sermonaudio via web browser and click on webcast, i see video. This leads me to believe the app has an issue.

I enjoy the app, but not as much as I used to because you recently stopped updating the daily CHRISTIAN NEWS HEADLINES, which I read every day & replaced them with BIBLE passages. Very unfortunate (for folks like me, at least), perhaps it doesn't really mean much to you folks, but either way, I don't really have much use for it anymore now that this feature is gone.Thank you though.It was great while it lasted.

Although the website is not responsive, it's much better overall than this app as I can then download to SD card (options to move audio files within the app do not work) and also use much better players which have speed control and better position controls (eg jump back 10 second etc).

Hello I just recently downloaded this app and it was working fine until it it said server errora and I didn't have the right credentials to view or whatever. And honestly I was just listening to one pastor for a while and I don't know why that happened. I even unistalled and reinstalled it and the same thing happen so I don't know what's going on.

This app is everything! I find myself spending more time here than on any of my other apps. I love the sermons, the local options, and that there's just enough of a social aspect to it to feel connected without being annoyed. That's not to mention the hymns or news! I have nothing bad to say about this app. A true blessing in my walk with the Lord!

Love the app and the word but I wish that we had more priveledge to save our choice of speakers. It shouldn't have to be so expensive to be a member since the churches and speakers are already paying for it, it should be free to the listener. Great app and good work just a little greedy about it.

I enjoy the variety of sermons that I have accessed, however recently the streaming sermon audio channel has stopped.bThe VCY link still opens. This only occurs on the mobile phone app. I am able to stream on my laptop, so I can't identify the problem. Keep up the solid work!!

Why no access without wifi? I can understand having a setting to save data when off wifi. An older version of this app worked that way. Now I can't even access settings when I am off wifi. Fix that and I will give 5 stars.

This app keeps getting better and better. Great for listening on the go - you can stream or download, but I just realized all the resources available - Spurgeon daily devotional, hymns, news, Bible reading plan... Very well done.

Users would benefit from a Recent or History folder. I want the ability to identify sermons that I've downloaded or listened to. I want the ability to create Favorites. I want to rewind 15sec.

Hi Sermon Audio! I love this app. It's just that on some of the older audio's (e.g: Voddie Baucham - Permanence view of marriage) a bit into the audio it goes very fast and speeds up all of a sudden. I don't know why this is.... And I've noticed it on a few other older sermons. Thank you again and G-D bless 🙌
