Servers Ultimate

This is an exceptionally good app, but there is a serious crippling problem with the add-on packs. Some add-on packs are only on Google Play, and others are only available from the Amazon App Store. To fully utilize all the add-on packs you need both Google Play and the Amazon App Store installed on your device. It's too bad. This could have been a good all-in-one server solution. EDIT: Looks like they fixed it. Thank you. Fix it on the Google Play Store, too. Great job!

I tried this app because it was free. While looking in vain for documentation, I came across some small print: ¨This app will work for 7 days after which you will need to buy the paid version". No, Servers Ultimate, that's not correct. It won't work for 7 days, and I won't need to buy the paid version. It has been deleted. There are other apps out there that don't try to trick me like that. Goodbye.

App is great but I think you should consider following incompletions in the app. 1.It does not support hotspot or USB/Bluetooth tethering. Servers are not accessible if the mobile with this app has hotspot enabled instead of wifi. 2. HTTP server does not have the options to set custom file (html or any other type of webpage file) as homepage of the server.

SMB "Native" Server, which uses SMB1 & NetBIOS, works fine with Windows. However, these protocols are insecure, obsolete and disabled by default in current versions of Windows. SMB Server, which I assume is using protocol 2 or 3 does not appear to work with Windows. The documentation is a joke and says that "it's hard" to set up. The documentation suggests uninstalling a service pack, editing registry keys and altering security group policies on all of your Windows machines on your network. Doesn't even mention what version(s) of Windows this applies to. Nor does it say what SMB protocol this uses. This is an absolute cluster-. Ice Cold Apps needs to get with the times and make their software compatible with current operating systems.

I heard great things about this app, however, it does not work on my GTKing (Android 9 PIE) box. I tried both native smb and and simple smb servers and while they run I see nothing on my windows PC over my gigabit ethernet network. Also, it does not allow me to share an ext hdd I have connected to the android box. Any ideas? I have tested lan drive from webrox and sambadroid and they both work as samba servers but have other issues.

I don't often need to run a random type of server on an Android device, but when I DO need to, I am always like "this was not only built with pride, I'm 99% certain this app was built by someone who actually needed to run servers like these and not only robustly solved the problem for themselves but also shared it with the rest of us as well for a very reasonable price.

The continous ads make it really difficult to try out this tool. it looks really good. sadly none of the servers worked for me and being bombed by ads drove me nuts. please remove and make a limited trial so we can test it.

Lol, what good is any file server that can't leverage an a sdcard or usb drive? The whole point of server based software is usually combined with external storage. Check for root, elevate privileges problem solved. Reverting to other single apps i guess

K, I'm relatively new to Androids, especially rooting them. (Despite years of knowledge of rooting/jailbreaking OS's on consoles). However I've put up quite a few different types of servers in Linux and Windows before. The most positive thing i can say about this app.....I wish i had this exact same program in Windows and Linux environments to pretty much 1 click install any type of server from an old BBS style setup, all the way to even VPS and Icecast and full HTTP/SQL/and PHP servers (similar to Xampp and Lampp etc) with VERY little issues at all. The only issues i have with it, is finding stuff. Example....where the hell is the .conf files to change how the HTTP servers work? Could not find it in the root file system of the phone WHATSOEVER, and that made security kinda of a problem as well. Loved the premade setups similar to Phpymyadmin that they included, again tho.....security looked like it was an issue and a person on any account, root or other with nothing for credentials could just walk thru your stuff because i couldn't find where this installs this information. Literally only drawback i had with this program. Do I continue to use it, yup have multiple phones running multiple servers with very little maintenance and supervision. Great if you're wanting to setup a wordpress from home on your phone while watching the game....

Ads available that too with trial limitations and after trial...Either remove ad or trial limitations. Can't support this kind of approach. Edit: You are asking about functionality, I believe Without SD card support what you are claiming it is useless

SMB server had been working great, but Windows 10 will NO longer connect to shares because SMBv2 required. Can NOT find SMBv2 protocol option in Servers Ultimate Pro SMB server configuration GUI. Sent full details to Support for help, but no response. UPDATE: Re-sent email and PM via FB Messenger. Hope to hear back with a solution...

Everything is fine except the DLNA issue! The DLNA not visible to other device to access, i did try by Type 1 and Type 2 as well. I will edit the review if the issue fixed!

Sincerely, It seems a good app, but the free trial ended well before I could test It enough (I do else, in life, too) so it seemed risky to me to spend 9$ for the full version. Thanks.

Almost all the servers were unusable. tried installing it to all my phones (pixel, oneplus and s9) and it varies and most of the time, it just crashes. utterly useless

Awesome to have server on mobile. The only reason why 4 instead of 5 stars is that PHP version is quite old. Any plans for newer version? Sometimes there is also 500 error but rarely.

Absolutely outstanding app to repurpose an old Android device. The variety and quality of servers available is great, and the developer is responsive as well.

Issue report SMB Server running well, even my Ipad was able to discover but folder are not mounting. Checked through PC it my Android was also listening to the port number. Fix this bug/issue

Got it to serve a basic html file once, then it just stopped, just ignores php even tho it claims to be running, for whatever reason now it won't even let local host connect, useless

Really good app and a nice idea but the default 2 server limit is very small. I would like to see the limit raised to 5.

i downloaded the aoo. and as soon as i started it it said my free trail had ended and to continue using the app i had to buy the pro edition. i would buy the pro version, if the servers i need work the way i want, but i can't very well know that if i can't try out the app first. I am a linux sys admin involved in a number of projects and this could be just what ive been looking for.

No warning that this is only a temporary trial before it cuts off your service. I only needed a proxy server, so I'd recommend something like the "every proxy" app instead. Overall this is just an overpriced collection of open source servers that may be being distributed against their licensing terms (e.g. the Samba server is GPL...). Do not support this developer.

Powerful and useful app. Root features would be great. For example, setting source port for raw socket connection.

Support is non existing. I emailed them and no answer. If you can't figure it out or it does not do as described your on your own I guess and thats after paying for the pro version.

I am unable to access my server on the internet. I can however access it on the local Wi-Fi network. I am new to this so I can be making some silly mistakes, let me know if there something obvious I might be missing!

THIS APP TOOK OVER MY LOCK SCREEN ON MY BRAND NEW GALAXY NOTE 9. IT ALSO SHOWED A LITTLE OVER 1GB OF DATA USAGE AND 5-6% OF BATTERY USAGE OVER A 4 DAY PERIOD. HOWEVER, I HAD NOT OPENED THE APP A SINGLE TIME SINCE INSTALLING AND IT USED THAT AMOUNT OF DATA AND BATTERY ON IT'S OWN.

Trying to work out how to use the sms gateway before I decide on whether to buy pro. No help or examples on sms gateway and trial expired so never got to work out if I would buy this. Won't be buying as I am locked out now so cannot check sms gateway for suitability.

I wanted to use an older Android phone as a linux server. It is Android 4.2 and Termux or anything else didn't work. Then I found this. I didn't think this is possible. I can run any server using this. Wow. Now I just need to find a way to expose my servers to internet. 6 stars from me.
