App is perfect! Ive been using it for years without a single glitch. Love it! I only wish SCU would offer the purchase round up for savings function with their debit cards. I've been a member for years and have suggested this many, many times. I may end up switching banks simply for that one feature. I'd hate to go, but simple savings is important to me.
I want to love this app and now I do! Prior to a recent update I was frustrated with an inability to take pictures on the app, rendering the mobile check deposit feature useless. Now with the timed automatic photo taking that solves everything. Great app, very happy to see the issue was listened to and updated. Great features and mobile banking.
Very easy to navigate and saves so much time! Except when you need to deposit a check, it never works, I've tried all kinds of lighting, angles, flash on, flash off, auto capture and manual. It's never worked and my phone takes great pictures so I know it's not my phone.
I love my online banking app. The only thing I would suggest to make it better is to make it better is for the receipt that is sent after making an international bill pay to have the exact info that was input on the original entry to be the same. They skip some key elements, such as the extra comment section for what the was for which can be used for the bill number etc.
The app is fine besides the mobile check deposit, it is by far the worst experience ive ever had. Everytime I try to get a picture of the check it kicks me out and makes me sign in all over again. This upsets me because it should be done and easy like it is supposed to be, but it takes almost hours to get it. Its ridiculous that it takes so much time to even do a mobil deposit.
Out of date UI. Site goes down frequently. Unclear how to do certain things, and in some cases it can have catastrophic effects on finances. Can be slow to update when sending funds through. Honestly this app needs to be remade from the ground up.
I love this bank it's the best! Customer service if you need help even if you go in to the bank or call them on their customer service line they are always very helpful and I have never had a bad experience with them! If you're thinking about switching your bank or even getting a bank account for the first time I would extremely highly suggest to go to Service Credit Union!
Broken, outdated, junk. Scanning checks rarely ever works. GUI looks like it was put together as a high school app design class. Menus are laid out poorly. And that's only if you can get into the app! It crashes more often than not even on current hardware.
I Love the app... When it hasnt been updated... whrn an update is pushed it dumps your previous way of accessing and you have to re-establish the fingerprint unlock or password constantly and it is so efing annoying!! I have stopped using the app because of this. I spent 20 minutes setting up evrrything for easy access and the next day ots asking me to do it all over again... so frustrating!!
Overall, this is a solid mobile banking app. It does what I need it to do without a lot of extra fluff. The only thing that I would change is that I would like the ability to select the order that my accounts appear on my home screen. The order seems to change randomly so the accounts that I use the most are often not displayed at the top.
It's an alright app. Contains the basic functions. But is very limited compared to others. You have to go to the mobile browser to do external transfers-even to one of your own bank accounts- and the app itself seems a bit behind the times.
Overall it's great! It's not difficult to understand. I was able to use the money manger tool to teach my children how to develop a monthly budget. I was able to sync my credit cards from multiple organizations with the app, that feature alone is valuable.
Really have had no problems with this app, makes banking on-the-go easy. You can deposit checks via photos and have them cleared that very business day, or the next. Almost never crashes, can use my phones finger print security to get in quickly. No data breaches yet as far as I know.
EDIT: Something broke the check deposit function. App keeps restarting when taking the picture of the check, or the camera freezes. Last deposit took me like 10 tries and a reboot of my phone, similar to my previous deposit but probably worse. PREVIOUSLY: Convenient, just works, cant think of any way to improve it
new bug has rendered the app useless. every time you try and log it puts you in the update email screen and gives an error code stating they are having technical difficulties.. going on 3 days of this. Tried uninstalling and re-installing with no difference. Hopefully this is fixed ASAP!
I've been using this app fornyears,and I never have any issues with issues with it. The only thing I would want changed is the amount of transfers you get during the month,6 really isnt enough,and since there isnt always banks close by,if I need money to go somewhere and need to transfer if I have run out then I would be stuck without money
Bring back fingerprint unlock. Literally pointless to have such a convenient setup, only to remove it immediately after your entire customer base starts using it. Additionally, every other banking app has this feature right now, yet SCU insists on being difficult. Mind-boggling.
App not opening properly. Once I click the app the blue opening screen shows up for 3 seconds then exits out of the app. The only way I got it to work is unstalling the app reinstall it log in BUT as soon as I close the app abs try reopening it the same problem occurs. So please fix this bug I really enjoy this branch but being able to access the app is very important to me
The app let's you do everything you need to. The only flaw I have come across is sometimes the finger print scanner drops off and you have to go back to manually entering your password. You can go in and turn it back on in your settings though
Check deposit requires 3x attempts for the back photo the last 4x I've deposited checks. Very frustrating. When I take the back of the check photo it freezes and asks if it's readable. Then it freezes. And I have to restart the entire app. 2more times. Other than that it's fine.
Love the bank. Hate the app. I have push notifications set, however, I NEVER get them. Only when I sign into the app. I will then get days worth at once. This is a very useful tool and one that I made sure I had access to before switching my accounts to Service. I am very disappointed that it doesn't seem to work.
I find the app very easy to use and navigate! It makes checking my balance and making transfers 10x easier and I never have to worry about going to the credit union in my area, which is great especially during these crazy times 😊
The first version of this application was pretty good. Occasionally it's incredibly frustrating and an absolute piece of garbage. In many ways it has improved over the last several years alot. It's still not perfect but it seems to be getting better and more forgiving. The best thing about the application is the fact that you don't have to go into a branch and drive out of the way.
Up until recently this ap has been great, however I think there could be a bug that needs fixing as I have tried multiple times to mobile deposit several checks at different times and the app glitches out. This has been very frustrating as it logs you out do to "inactivity". If those keeping the app updated could fix this, then I would happily up my rating. My bank is 30 min away and I rely on mobile deposit as my workplace doesnt have direct deposit.
The documents page still doesn't work. Always gives a. Internal error code when trying to go to it. Ot is handy to have the ability to go back and view, save ,and or print monthly statements of you need to and it also automatically will reformat statements to SVG format for spreadsheets, Exell and Quickbooks. Take a picture and deposit a check, and free instant transfers through the app..
