Myself and my team (14) have been using this app for at least 5 years. It has one glaring downfall. Since it is a web based app if you dont have a good internet connection time entries, and info uploads often do not register. It has gotten worse since 5g came to our area. We use paper logs for backup. If a phone based app is not developed, we will be looking at other options.
Performance is definitely based on the device using it as well as the cellular network. Used a different device and cellular service than the company I was working at, and mine ran 10x faster and better with less conflicts or downtime, and was able to do data entry and load photos at least that much faster. Kind of pathetic they never switched, horribly managed and the app gets the blame
Works reasonably well - but found out the Iphone app version allows you to view estimates in the job search, but this Android app only shows invoices/jobs. Being able to view estimates quickly and easily would be far more useful.
Suggestion Problem: When the device loses internet connection, the app stops functioning. Can't bring up data, can't take a signature, can't view anything. Solution: - Cache the data on device. - Have the app check for a connection. If there is a connection update the cache(prioritize this process so jobs you for that day are first to update). - store changes made to records and upload them on connection. In this way the app will continue to function, even without a connection.
terrible execution of what should be a simple process. the idea is that service techs can use this on site. however, if there isn't good wireless data signal (almost every office building) or an unsecured WiFi available (good luck) the app is completely useless. if nothing else allow the techs to be able to read the work order, add photos, and a signature while offline and update when back in cell coverage. this is what happens when desk jockeys make something for field workers.
Takes forever to upload in the field. A lot of times it doesn't upload at all. Map feature always come up with a white screen. Picture upload times have increased. Would be nice to have a daily hours worked instead of just an in and out time. These issues started with the March update except for the not uploading at all. That's been a consistent thing since I 1st started using this app in mid 2018.
THIS IS NOT A MOBLE BASED APP. This program works well on a computer but the mobile capabilities are aweful. It take way too long to load anything because there is no offline functionality what so ever. To load anything in the app it needs to communicate with SF server so if your connection isn't a 4G or LTE connection your phone will time out before the app loads. We have been using this program for about a year now and the only good thing about it is the price, Its cheap.
I've been in business for 25 years best tool I have ever purchased . the customer support for service fusion is awesome the only hard part is putting in all your product and prices. But after it set up it's wonderfulyou can see what jobs your texts are working on which ones are complete which ones are paused. I would never go back to using paper invoices. I looked at a few different options but service fusion was far better for the price. We also have the internet phone through service fusion.
This app gets a star so I can write this review. The most frustrating part of my job is using service fusion. If you don't have good service or Wi-Fi where you are it doesn't work at all. You can't add notes, add items to the invoice, search your inventory for parts, add photos, and pretty much anything else you rely on this app to do. is it really that difficult to make it so that we can at least add notes and photos to the work order and let the app update once we have better wireless signal?
I have been using this app for over 2yrs with our Electric, AC, and Irrigation divisions. When building estimates and adding new line items you cant "Go back" to the previous screens. It sends you back to the main menu. Poor App navigation. Needs to be more fluid and easier to navigate. Adding before and after pictures is a JOKE! If you are the decision maker for your company STAY AWAY from service fusion. Look into other apps before wasting your TIME & money on this app!...
Offera all the right stuff needed for techs but Slow glitches and freezes on a hourly basis.
App is glitching and won't let you put a decimal point in between numbers and app is crashing now after the update
The execution is OK. The cost is high. The features of app and back end are good and what you need to run a team of field reps. The initial setup took weeks. Offline access would be a big improvement. The credit card rates are much higher then the sales rep promised. I was told 2.9% or less and that's what I was paying before using Service Fusion. I now pay nearly 5% on card fees. That frankly chaps my backside. I hate being lied to. There is nothing that ticks me off more the a dishonest sale.
This app really depends on the internet, if its slow or non at all, app becomes useless. Layout of the app need improvement and optimizations for mobile phones. Hyperlink small fonts hard to click. I hate giving 1 star reviews but usually this helps for developers to find solutions faster.
On the technician side it's pretty basic depending on how it's configured by management. However, be aware that management can remote access into device's its installed on that includes file's, camera and microphone. With any work app someone is always watching and listening.
1.8.8 worked fine, but slow. 1.9.8 becomes less and less responsive. The top screen icons drift up the active window until you cant see, read, or press them. I also cannot add services anymore. IOS version now randomly changes my custom fields as of today also.
My biggest complaint is that there is no option to toggle off the nuisance time stamps that are applied by any status change. My techs also have issues with notes being randomly deleted. I have made several attempts to contact SF about suggestions to make the field app better to no avail.
This app was never tested in the field nor in a real world field test. the seamless integration with QBs is simply a lie. absolutely will ruin any atempt to inventory products. How do I know you ask? Because we've been fighting this for 1.5 yrs now. On ANY phone it is extremely slow, difficult to navigate and acts very differently with considerably less ability than a PC (understandable). so the only real solution is a pc tablet or pc with "hot spot" on the truck, NO QBs and No inventory.
Recent update broke printing function. I reported the trouble and it's still not fixed. They told me beta testing was happening 10 days ago, yet I still can't print invoices. The developers of this app are not doing their jobs. Service fusion is broken, and they don't care.
Mediocre. Technicians complain about app buffering every single time they try to upload a photo or access the map feature. It never stops buffering, with good signal or bad, same result.
Rarely works as it should, often delete photos from the invoice option, sometimes it deletes all photos and all notes when hitting the completion button. Usually 2 to 3 days a week system buffers extremely long time.
A few disrupting issues: can't actually attached estimates when sending from mobile app. Can't access all fields when writing estimates such as tags and product cost. Also doesn't save photos taken in the app or sometimes won't save job status changes.
Way to slow. If you don't sit and watch it, phone will time out before the app finishes. Takes way to long to clock in and out. more than once I wasn't clocked out on time because this app takes for ever or doesn't process.
Slow upload. Takes up way too much of my valuable time. Do not know what my boss was thinking. From a Tech standpoint this JUST SUXS.
Use app for work, great app but signature area still small when phone is turned to side(landscape). Not sure if app or phone (s10e) issue. Recent updates have made loading excessively slow.
It is extremely slow at times. Every time you click a button it needs to load, not fluid. If your in a bad cell area it doesn't always record what you input. I also have a lot of times were it doesn't upload pictures, doesn't change job status always. I'll have mo time logged in a job because it was not able to change from on my way to onsite due to cell coverage.
