It's convenient, UI simple too which is great. But for people who have no mesra cards (they stop issuing the physical one edi) and wanna pay thru methods other than setel, we can't collect points hence I stopped using it.
very convenient, however please stop over bloating the app with options to buy products. the app should focus more on its goal when someone is already in the parents screen, don't bombard with optional purchases. my goal is to fuel up fast and move along
It's just ok, nothing superb. Well! It's tiny bit more convenient than slotting credit card or bank card into pump system. Neither it's faster though since it takes sometime to access setel system before you can actually pump petrol. Other customers waiting behind already getting restless seeing no action from us at the pump. The only favorable thing is higher bonus points, that's all.
I already reviewed this, but it seems the review has gone to the way of the dodo. This app is convenient, when it's working. The stations in my area (Ranau) has been going "planned maintenance" for friggin WEEKS. We can't use the app to pay. I've topped up the app before the maintenance because it is, as I said, convenient. But now it seems like a waste of time. Is there any way you guys can contact the station and find out what's wrong? As far as I can tell there is no work being done there..
It's convenient to just simply use your phone and refill your car with one touch. Easy to use. A lot of functionality too. It's an great app.
Very convenient for senior citizen or single parent with lots of kids in the car who couldn't leave the car on some reason and plus its a very user-friendly app easy to use and interact with payment and activate the pump really fast!! Recommended..now i dont have to walk to the counter anymore..Great job Setel!
Easy convenience....now with an upgraded version is more comfortable. One advise, maybe an area of improvement is that the response time to any complaints, in my opinion, have room to improve...
It's the solution for many years problem of motorist encountered every time fueling up. This brilliant app let the motorist purchase not only fuel but all products sold at the station yet allows them to skip the need to queue at the counter hence save lotsa time. Connectivity between phone app and the fuel station is at lightning speed and wallet topup is seamless easy. This app truly add up to the motorist experience hence elevate the brand to higher level. Nice UI and app content is actually good. Solid concept. Shame however, it would've been a 4 but top ups seems to be an issue. Plus, helpline is not 24 hours. This is not good in case of emergencies. Therefore I'm giving it a 2.
Has been using this app without much issue for years. Now its not working with no OTP sent. Phone service provider checked message 63001 not blocked. 'Help' from Setel without much help either. App option using 'Call me' to retrieve voice OTP is hopelessly unclear. Other OTP in my other apps are working properly. Very very disappointed.
I like the app but please, please, please allow the user to customize the displayed amount. Instead of the default 20,40,60, let users choose the amount to be displayed e.g 30, 80, 150. Not everyone pump petrol the same amount. It is so annoying to click on 'Other' EVERY SINGLE TIME I want to pump fuel. Also, the app verification is slow when it asked for 6 digit pin then asked to scan fingerprint. Let me tell you, I never get to type the correct pin because it detects too slow.

No need to get hold of physical wallet or purse for credit card and Mesra card since all are in the app. 3. A breakthrough payment approach that is not offered by other competitors not just in Malaysia but also by other countries AFAIK. I am proud to use this app. Well Done!!!👍
The bugs cannot be fix,when I ask for help from setel,they told me to log out, uninstall the app and reinstall again,still failed,then I installed the app to another cell phone,lost all the history and balance,frustrated,what kind of app is this? this is the second time,not going to use anymore
it's so convenient to purchase fuel nowadays, the only shortcoming is that at times, my phone/ telco network reception was weak, I can't use the app ylto purchase. Petronas may consider providing free WiFi to facilitate faster and seamless purchase experience
Everytime I want to top up here, the process is as slow as snail, while my account have been deducted. So inconvenient and does not have any benefit at all. Totally not recommended this to anyone. Better you go to the counter and pay it by cash.
Although it's a good effort by petronas to go touch less. There is still room for improvement. 1) add more direct payment method. Now only support visa & master. Consider add in amex. 2) improve on the connection. Currently paying at the counter is sometimes faster than the app when there is no queue.
This apps makes it easier for me. I don't have to walk to the counter. I just click if I want to refuel. It is convenient. Super easy. Reliable. Thank you Setel👍👍👍
Can not activate the mesra card to redeem the points. And can not even upgrade the account. Its fail app. Not worth it. Last time I was using the physical mesra card more convenient and easy to redeem the points.
Easy to use, but its all depends on the device you use. If low cheap phone, usually slow to open any apps that can affect your experience. If no/slow internet also can affect your experiences. For use in the city, very good and my phone is also high end device which make the experience smoother. Love it. Hope all Petronas Pump Station throughout the country will support this app.
Very easy to use but they might have issues with their transaction with banks & top up especially for Maybank! When I first added my card, the page was stuck at processing screen for more than 5~10 minutes. I knew the card was added because I saw the push notification the card was added successfully. I had to force close the app. Then for my first top up with took more than 3 minutes to confirm the top up. Unlike TnG when I top up with my card it is instant! They need to improve the back end.
its quite convenience but almost the same for every apps its not perfect and have a few flaw such as sometimes the server unstable and the transaction is quite slow but overall is okay
Please do add guides for kadterus (i.e. Steps 123) Took me a while to figure out changing the payment method. Also include support for duitnow support for more use cases for the app
Such a flaw system. As a staff, I have to report this app for allowing data ownership changes without any warning or confirmation. I linked my mesracard to my wife account (which I created for setel share), and on my account the card identity is gone,like totally gone not even linked to my phone number anymore. When i want to revert back the action link back to my account, I cant undo it, i can not unlink. Its not a small matter. DO YOU REALISE THIS? IMAGINE IF CHANGE OWNERSHIP OF A BANK CARD.
Setel solves one of the biggest barrier of going cashless: That massive cash holdout on card before refueling. The whole experience of using the service/app is so well executed that I would actually recommend it to my friends. I would only want to nitpick on this: There needs to have an alternative option if GPS fails. Maybe manually input the gas station, give a timeout/cancel option on fuel purchases.
The apps working very good and manage but there are still issue with fuel amount. I always have spare 10litre tank that I fill for emergency,I filled with RON97.I filled it, the amount will not reach for 10 litre because theres an indication at the tank,estimated litre are around 9.5 litre meaning I've lost 0.5litre. This issue I've address to Setel before, yes they returned the lost amount. But i it keep repeating again and again with different fuel station. Now move to CaltexGo for more fuel.
Easy to use. Nice user interface. Payment so far smooth. Nice support. Good for contactless payment. I support Petronas always.
Easy n convenient. I can feul up w/o going to the counter. And w/o losing my point as it is automatically loaded to my account. And i can redeem it via the apps also.
As a person who loves to go cashless, this app really makes the refueling process easier and faster. I also can view my points and rewards easily.
Setel team helped to solve the issue after escalation! Appreciate the help :) The app will be prefect if the money will credit to wallet after redeemed voucher, so no worries of expiration. Thanks. Previous Issue: Rather dissapointing, the voucher redeemed in the account is not converting as credit (will expire). Hope it can be like tng wallet, credit stay permanent after redeemed. Overall app performance is ok.
