I truly love this app! It is so elegant and easy to use. I ADORE the fact that it's ad-free. I can pick it up and learn for quick snippets of time without having to wait for an ad to play. I've only had it for a few days and I've already learned so much!! I'm working on countries in Africa right now, and I REALLY appreciate how it's broken down into smaller geographic sections. Thank you, Seterra developers!! Edit: fixed a typo
Great game, so helpful for learning geography. My only qualms are that the interface is sometimes awkward for phone screens (have to scroll back and forth across the screen), and that there are no options to type in answers like on their website. But those are minor issues
I'm obsessed with this app. I originally downloaded it just to memorize Europe's countries and capitals, but I did not expect the wide variety of learning modes. I like that I can also learn flags, but I was surprised to see that there are categories for landforms and landmarks too. I love the clean and simple design, and when I tap on a country it rarely misclicks on another one like some other sites I've used.
Well worth it to buy the ad-free version. The absolute best geography app I have come across in my endless search of a geography app that has everything (countries, flags, capitals, etc) and looks professionally done (some are absolutely hideous to look at). Can't recommend it enough and I love the scoreboards for each section so I can see myself improve over time.
Really love the app! I've easily learned all the states and state capitals of Germany in a flash! Have paid for the ad free version almost immediately! (Maybe you could add like Google backup or sth similar, so you don't lose your progress when deleting the app?) And there's a glitch in the app where the top is cut off (I have an Honor 10 phone) but it is resolved when I go out of the app. Just wanted to report that as well!
In middle school our geography teacher introduced us to seterra and we got hooked competing to learn all the countries of the world the fastest(I won hihi). I only have one small issue with the app right now. I bought the full version a while back when the app was a bit different which might be what's interfering with it now. I'm getting ads which I'd be happy to pay to remove but when I tap to remove ads it just takes me here to playstore without option to remove ads or upgrade to full version.
Very informative and useful. A great tool for studying and just trivia in general. It's important to learn about the world, so this would be a great place to start for those who are interested. EDIT: I reinstalled the app after a while (I completed the maps and it was just taking up space) and now it crashes every time I open a quiz. Why is this?
Good app! Learned a lot so far. It would be nice to have a 'high score' that is better for learning. The current score shows the highest percentage correct so far. It would be nice to have some other measures of how well I remember stuff over time. Or get info on the maps I should take another look at. The option to reset the progress would also be nice
Definitely one of my favorite apps. Has helped me learn to place all countries and capitals of the world. The only downfall is the lack of updates. Some country names are outdated, as they have changed, and some (very few) are incorrect. I will change my rating to 5 stars when I see an update fixing these issues. Edit: As promised, five stars for an amazing app. Thanks to the devs!
Highly recommended app to learn geography. I use for my 7 year old kid, but it is also great for me to learn. Custom quiz is great feature to keep limited numbers of countries so my kid can focus and learn small numbers of countries in one go at the same time does not get overwhelmed. Only one suggestion: Please add timestamp for Quiz score and also delete score option may be delete single score or selected score without uninstalling.
Wonderful app for learning geography. I would definitely recommend it. My only complaint is that it defaults to single clicks on the maps which causes errors. Even when switching to confirmation mode, the confirmation button can get in the way of reselecting a part of the map. Other than that, it's great.
This app is extremely fun and easy to use and is great at helping you learn and memorize geography it has every tons of quizzes, country, states, capitals and even indigenous tribe quiz its very fun and if you want to learn geography in a fun way I recommend this app (also like no ads)
Great game just one problem: on my device with a punch out camera i cant access the top part of the game because thats where my notification bar is, causing it to open. The game is rendered under the transparent notification bar...
I love this app! As a geography student on break from school, this is great to keep me sharp during summer! I do have one problem, I keep running into a glitch with the "Portugese Speaking Countries" quiz, every time I go to answer Equatorial Guinea or Guinea Bissau the entire app freezes! I wonder if this can be fixed, or if anyone else is experiencing this.
Great app, though it has a few spelling mistakes. In US National Parks, Capital Reef needs to be Capitol Reef and Sequoya needs to be Sequoia. It is, though, a great app. I also think that, with the quizzes that have lots of choices, it is hard to zoom in without accidentally clicking on an answer in the area I touched to zoom in.
pretty good app. region selection on the map is a bit jumpy when you scroll but theres a setting that lets you confirm your selection which helps. useful for trying to learn all of the countries but i wish it gave you a way to learn them before quizzing you on them.
Excellent for Geography buffs! The team could look into an issue that requires a user to manually override "Do you want to quit" messages even after completing a game.
Used to use this program in primary school to learn geography. It has developed a bunch since and I couldn't be happier with the app version. It works just as well as any other game but in this instance I actually learn geography!
Outstanding game. Extremely detailed maps overall and the "cartoon" maps are beautiful. Sooooo many levels and options for quizzes for each country. A lot of effort went into this app.
This app is fantastic! I was looking to learn the wine regions in Italia and not only was I able to do so (in about an hour), I keep coming back to see if I can name the regions even faster to beat my previous record times. I may just aim to learn the globe. Hahahaa. Download, support, learn, and enjoy! Challenge yourself!!!
This is the only geography material that is good for studying. All the other apps are multiple choice quiz questions while this one is fast paced and uses actual maps
Amazing!! This map quiz app is perfect for learning cities, provinces and countries. It has pronunciations too. No ads so far.
I started out with the free version and then the ads started annoying me. I liked this app soooo much that I bought the app - it was only $2 and I can share it with my kids phone so that makes it a $2 well spent!
An amazing way to learn were states, counties, cities, and countries are. Im in geogarpy so these quizies are very useful for memorization.
The app has the potential to be one of the best map quizzes, but a few things make it meh. The dots that mark smaller countries, territories and islands are too big, especially when zoomed - in the carribean you can't see the islands at all, you need to remember the order because all you see is those dots. That's especially annoying when playing with all territories on. The countries in the cut-outs are considered wrong answers when clicked on the main map.
