Setlist Helper and Song Book

UPDATE MAY 2022: I had an annoying issue in which I couldn't Sync anything to my tablet and it took a while for an update to fix this but the guys were always reaching out to me to try and give me solutions for this, which I really appreciate. Now the Sync issue is over! THE APP ITSELF: It's really great and has everything that you can ask for. Even the free version is very complete but I chose to buy the full one and no disappointment so far: lyrics, set breaks, scrollers, setlist info, bpm, you name it! You can even input the same song but in two different version/settings in case you'd need it that way for different setlists. Works throughout different platforms in perfect sync! P.S.: All of the info about the songs/setlists you have to input yourself

Been using the paid version of this app for several years. Positives are it syncs to all devices. You can edit on all devices including PC. You can search for lyrics online and import them. You can have as many different set lists as you need. You can have an unlimited amount of songs. Negatives are there is no music player built in. When rearranging sets it's slow when you reposition songs by dragging. The zoom isn't duplicated on other devices so needs setting up. Additional details added dup

I really like this app! Syncing between devices and the web interface works great, adding songs from the web and editing them is very neat. There are only two features I miss: Colors in the song text and the ability to see assigned tags in the song list and in the web.

A Must-have app I have been using the paid version for some years now and can't do without it. I would have given it 5 stars but my only gripe is that when I try to 'share' songs, there is no option to have a printable pdf or Word document, only html. Definitely worth 5 stars if this could be sorted

Text import broke tabs, all spacing was removed between chords above lyrics. *Edit: I got some help, .CRD files do seem to work well. TXT files did not. Once I understood that I was able to get it functioning. It's pretty alright, does the job.

This is a wonderful app, every musician can benefit from it. The price is great and the developers will help you if needed..

I highly Recommend this amazing app, I've been using this for almost 7 and half years when I started may daily gig at ShangriLa Boracay Philippines, since then I really loved this Amazing Setlist app! Mabuhay And the maker of this app is very active.

I would have given this app 3 or 4 stars if evaluating the usability of the app on my tablet alone. It's pretty good, does the job, but a little clunky. As a standalone app, it's "good enough" for what I need. But the app is supposed to be able to sync to the web, so that I should be able to access all my songs and setlists on any device. Sync, however, does not work correctly. A lot of the setlists and songs that are on my local device do not show up when I log into the website from my laptop, even though I have tried syncing three times today. Super aggravating, enough to put me in the market for a new app. UPDATE 8/6/21 The syncing issue from before eventually got fixed. But yesterday I got locked out of my account, and couldn't access my setlists from the web. (It is much easier to develop setlists on a laptop, via the web, than on my tablet through the app.) The reset password email never arrived, with multiple tries. I contacted support, and they responded and gave me a new password, but that didn't work either. Contacted support again, they sent me a new password, and finally I got things working (and syncing) again. So the app/web connection and syncing functionality have some issues. That said, I haven't found anything better. Being able to develop setlists on the web and then sync them to your tablet is pretty great -- when it works. And support is actually responsive when things are not working. So I'm bumping my two stars up to three.

This used to be a great and amazing APP, but now for some reason, I'm not able to search songs online and obtain the lyrics. When I do a search, I find the exact song but I'm not able to add the lyrics. Wow, I really held this app on a high pedestal. Update as of 10/27/2019: Nothing has been done since my last review. Despite contacting Setlist support, I continue to have the same issues, on top of this, no one has contacted and or even replied to my email regarding the concerns and or issues.

:( I really miss the tune-able metronome it had until recently. I wish it had not been 'upgraded' to the new one. Maybe that is something that could be restored with future updates? I am still really positive about this app, however. Meets all my needs for an easy way to use set lists on stage. Plus, for some songs I want more details (sometimes I need more than song title and the key) and it is easy to upload .pdfs for music & lyrics for those songs (note that you don't have to upload anything to use it on stage). adding to my review, to be perfectly clear -- I have absolutely no complaints about anything else and you'll note I give it 5 stars. I think how it works is perfect for my needs, and I highly recommend it to any musician out there. Some songs I just need the title and the Key. Some songs I need just a few lyric reminders, or maybe all of them, or chord changes, etc. and these are easily created via pdf, uploaded to dropbox, and linked to Setlist helper in my device. At this point I can't think of anything I'd like to see changed in how this software works, and I can live with the new metronome. thanks for a great product!

Really liked the app when we starting using it this past summer. But NOT happy with the recent update. Before when I did a lyric search for a song. Song was formatted by verse/chorus, spacing between each, etc. Now when I search & click ADD and open in our song list, all the formatting is gone! All the words run together. Zero punctuation/formatting/spacing. So if I don't know the song, I have to Google it & then reformat it in our song list. Very time consuming & a real pain.

Very good, I've been using the free version for a while. when I say free I also mean free of paper, printing, writing, folders, music stand, clothes pegs, etc. I've written my own versions of covers so used the pdf option normally. However I've bought the top version now for doing normal covers using the easy link to lyric and chord sites. I bought it for the transposing and scrolling option. Worth it. I've saved loads of time and knock them out quickly now. As long as it continues, I'm happy.

Been using Setlist Helper for a few years. My tablet died on me a few weeks back, lost all of my songs and set lists, and now I'm looking at rebuilding. Is there a way to back up on my PC for future and what is the most current version. I'm a lead singing drummer, play in many bands and I rely on it completely. This app is awesome for any type of a musician that uses a set list for their shows. I am able to sync our setlist with all of my band members and the sound engineer by the press of a few buttons. This is the only app I have ever purchased from the Play Store and it's never been a regret. To sweeten the deal their customer service experience is also top notch!

I switched from paper to Setlist Helper 5 years ago. In short, it became a gig saver. I've since created 20 lists with over 400 songs total. Sadly I deduct a star for data issues. I can no longer fully export to file on my Galaxy Tab S4. Dev is responsive and suggested Dropbox but that also failed. Sync to cloud sometimes saves incomplete/empty setlists, but retrying helped. App still works OK, mostly. I hope the dev fixes the disconcerting backup/sync issues, and I'll give 5 stars.

I had some issues with syncing after a recent upgrade but the developer is super responsive and identified and fixed the problem very quickly. I'm a drummer / occasional vocalist and Setlist Helper is invaluable not only for displaying lyrics, but also the notes and charts that I make for the different drum parts and the e-drum settings I use for different songs. Highly recommended.

Been using this for years now, essential for gigging without piles of paper, an absolute godsend. Thanks Tim for constant development and support. Love the autoscroll, Bluetooth pedal capability and website backup. Chord Pro is simple to understand for typing songs in directly and in-app editing is there for last minute tweaks. Plenty of display colour and format options for adjusting to taste. Brilliant!

It was working fine at first, now it won't save my set lists as i have them..the order will be all over the place when i export it. It also wont let me duplicate a set list anymore which is a major inconvenience. If it hadnt stopped working i wouldve given it five stars but this is technically what this app is meant to do is to create set lists...what is that good for if it doesnt let you export or save them?

A fantastic app that is more than capable for pro use. A huge range of features and intuitive controls. The easy way you can add lyrics means that our singer got set up and ready to go in no time at all. A fantastic product with equally good customer support should you need it. 5 stars

does not work on my Pixelbook (Android) since the last update. I had to get a refund, which really stinks b/c I really liked this and wish it worked. There's a critical problem, seems to be a software rendering issue where lyrics aren't displayed at all or only a small part...even the ones that come with the app. really bummer

So far this app and website is VERY difficult! Entering songs in the web page catalog do not sink with the apps. The list actually vanishes when I go to the set list and then back! I was able to import pdf documents of songs on my tabletonce I got past the stupid default to Drop Box (I stopped using drop box years ago). And, WHY AM I GETTING SCROLLING ADS WHEN I JUST PAID $8.99 FOR THIS F&-KING THING?!

Very good app. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is that the editing interface is a bit tricky to get used to but its song organization features with lyrics, chords and comments that scroll at a custom speed and the ease of organizing and timing out a setlist are great. Useful app for anyone playing live and coordinating the sets for a band.

I'm really becoming disenchanted with this app. My wife had been using it and loved it, but when I bought an Android pad and started trying to share songs and setlists thru the website, it went to hell. She shares setlists with me thru the website, and the songs don't show up in my song repository. How can that be? I also get duplicates, I'm starting to suspect that data gets lost. I also wrote to support with a simple question (where on my 'droid are pdfs stored?) and never got an answer. I know it's only 10 bucks or so, but I guess you get what you pay for. There has to be something better out there.

So far I'm enjoying the app, but I'm having no luck getting the song notes to actually show up in my setlist. I've checked that the notes are listed in each song details, and that show notes is selected in the preferences, but nothing is showing. I'm on a Pixel 3.

I purchased the whole thing (lyrics, setlists, etc.) and I absolutely love it, except this bug: when I zoom in the lyrics, they'll disappear and there's just a black screen. I hope there is a solution for this, because I'd like to keep using this app.

I am a part time gigging musician and use this app to perform with as well as a way to publish my original songs. It uses the ChordPro standard, so I can copy and paste my lyrics drom Word and place the chords in the appropriate spot. A stable and reliable app for any musician. I love the auto scroll feature. This is really the only app I've found of its kind. Kind of buggy (setlist magically reorders itself sometimes) and there are some things I wish it did (place songs in the set in the same order I clicked on them). But really there's not another option out there, and it does generally work.
