Settings Database Editor

Excellent editor! Used it for several years to enable mobile hotspot by changing (or adding the line) in System Table: "tether_entitlement_check_state" from a "1" to a "0" and then Global Table change (or add the line) "tether_dun_required" from a "1" to a "0". Works on LG phones up to at least Android 11. Some phones will go back to a "1" after reboot. Just change it back to a "0". The app works perfectly. Every time. But learn to enable writing/changing in "Global Table". Its easy.

It's such a useful little app. One thing that is missing is shortcut creation for specific settings. My device keeps resetting an option and I have to find it each time. A home shortcut would be much appreciated.

The app works well. But lacking one thing it should have a search/filter option to look around the records I'll rate it 5 if the filter option is added. By the way kudos to the developers. Good Job 👌

TV Box FONT to small? this app is the answer; if the option font_scale isn't there add it. Value can be 0.1 - 2.5. you can make it bigger but the proportions really suffer. so lower case -- font_scale -- value = 1.4 for eg.

Awesome. Now I can change settings that the devices' manufacturer decided to keep inaccessible for me for some obscure reason. For instance, the touchscreen haptic feedback (enable/disable) in my Galaxy A50. I just can't live without it. Pity it can't edit the Java table due to Android restrictions. Suggestion: add search for settings strings. God bless you!

This editor works great, with a very clear and intuitive interface. I am using it on a OnePlus 6 running Android 10 (Oxygen 10.3.0).. Despite a warning appearing on launch saying it may not work, it works fine for what I needed. I got this to fix the notch issue created with the new Android version. Worked like a charm.

If u wanted to see some of ur device settings and change them this is it 1 = enabled 0 = disabled I think it's a useful app if ur looking to be able to edit basics or make a new setting in ur device. Developers I think u should figure out a way to edit system global and the other things but other then that there is no bugs and works fine

Without a doubt a good system editor. Somewhat limited, but still shows values of content that's not editable. I like the features I can edit. Just remember to Screencast stuff before edit. It could prevent a factory reset.

Dear setedit team, it was working fine before i updated my phone to miui 12.5, but after update it says this version is not compatible with ur version of Android. And it also don't make any effect to the system after i change devicelevellist values. Kindle update ur app to latest android

This app is literally very good . I am having an 4 GB ram device and I want to play high end games like Apex legends, Bgmi, Minecraft and this helped me a lot. The lag is gone and also when in close range the game doesn't lags. Thanks so much to the developer who made this.

Very useful and i like it! I've downloaded this application to turn off "Touch-disable Mode" of my Huawei P20 Pro phone. So easy to use. I just opened it and scrolled down to Touch-disabled mode and changed the value from number "1" to "0" and it worked! Thank you developers for this amazing application!

I use this app to set the animation and transition speed to 0.7. I think that is the sweet spot for me. Also this app is also useful if you want to have LTE only on you Huawei phone.

Not working on Samsung Note 4 sm-n910c and Android TV Box CSA96 Write settings and write secure settings granted, when I click on add new settings or edit value the new popup window will not appear and instead the screen dimmed slightly and thats it. Installed on PhoenixOS 7.1.1 and it works great. Not sure why not worked on mentioned devices. Can you please help if you can. Thanks.

I had a carrier limitation with my unlocked AT&T phone when trying to enable the hotspot, this app allowed me to change "tether_entitlement_check_state" value from "5" to "-1" without even being root and now after years of dealing with this finally i can enable the hotspot and use my phone data to connect via wifi on my laptop, it's amazing!! Many thanks to the developer(s)!

I really hope you read this.. I am trying to get my hotspot turned on for my Note 9 from at&t with Net10 services so I can work from home, but everytime I activated it dosen't work. I've seen a lot of tutorials were you can change the tether_entitlement_check_state with this app but this option is not showing, any reason why? Or is there other way? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I needed to totally disable my smartphone's vibration and haptic because of it's awful quality and performance. Just I never got a perfect solution because gestures and fingerprint sensor always used default vibration settings in the OS. But this app helped me disable that disturbing vibration motor. Thanks tons♥️.

it works fine before i upgraded to android 10. This app does not work with android 10. Please update your app to work with android 10..I really like it but it no longer works.. Im using this to get 4G,LTE on my device.. it still shows the option yet it doesn't work, hope you will notice my request :)

I m using this app from last 1 month. But suddenly it has stopped working. Now when i m editing the value of theme it's showing saved but after the trial period the server is asking me to buy the theme. Kindly remove the glitch if there is any in the updated version.

Very good app. Maybe you can figure out way to apply setting permenat after uninstall or add option to hide app from tray. Noticed if you delete somethings then add a zero when it reappears it works to hide more things. Maybe you can also add root option as alternative to adb or to add more editable fields. Extremely debloated phone for battery and took out nfc, mirrorlink, file sharing etc this app works perfect to hide these controllers from settings/ tiles as if they never existed.Great work

Nice app but there are two major problem they are restricted permissions and i once enabled the current network preference viewer such as your sim card in connected to 4g network now which is in notification pannel just left side of the battery icon but once my phone was reset i can't find that setting even though it is not removed from there so please provide us permissions and a guide that that does what operation

Not bad, would be nice to see a website with more information though, trying to change the phone number on my phone, can't work out why I can't do it, I brought over my phone number from another network but like 99% of cases the phone number either stays the same as the original one or completely disappears, in my case it's the latter, seriously frustrating 😤

I dont know what happened, cannot use font and theme for free at the same time which i did for the past few months. Wondering what happened, and I got the error msg that the app I got is for the later or older version. But no option to update. Hope you can help, really love the app 😔

This app works wonderfully. It is clean, neat, and does exactly what it is supposed to do. I hope this gets more traction and positive attention from groups that appreciate and understand how to use such a powerful tool.I also enjoy the inclusion of the tables stored in the boot.img, even if they cannot be edited through the app.

Seems to work good. Id say 3/4 of the settings get changed. Well worth downloading. A section with possible items and functions would be handy. EXAMPLE : ( Wifi_hotspot2.0_enabled) = 1 Or ( Wifi_hotspot2.0 ) = Enabled Or ( Block_Emergency_message ) = TRUE

Goooood . Best. I saw so many bad reviews ... But the truth is... This app modifies system settings based on an old android bug that has not been patched in some devices. IF YOUR MANUFACTURER HAS THIS BUG FIXED , SETEDIT WILL NOT WORK , and kindly DON'T BLAME THE DEVELOPER or give BAD REVIEWS. It's not the developers fault if Setedit doesn't work on your device. It's only your manufacturer and google fixing android .

The app worked fine before..But recently, it is non-functional. Once we edit the values and exit from the app, it does not save the changes.. the changes made are not reflected.!! Update required urgently!!

Very useful for system tweaking. NEEDS A SEARCH OPTION. There are too many configs, and if you are looking for one word in specific, there should be a search field. Please address that.

It works as advertised. Better even. I used it to correct a setting that kept the phone from using hotspot unless on Cricket network. I changed the value and hotspot working flawlessly. Very good app. Be careful though. Don't change any setting you aren't sure of.

These app is not working these days, if we apply settings only works for 1-2 days please fix this problem as soon as possible. Earlier this app was great for low end devices .and now its not too bad but not working now and fix this app as soon as possible.

Works great. I'm using it to fix the issue of refresh rate in my Realme X7 Max, not sure if the Realme team is ever going to fix it but with this app I don't have to worry about that! 👍
