Untrustworthy! Just discovered this morning that we have been under a tordado watch during the night while we slept. And are still under the watch for another hour. This app was loaded on two cell phones and one tablet. None of the devices broadcast an alarm. One phone was in the room where we were sleeping. Settings are set correctly for alarms. Will be uninstalling and looking for something else.

Update: Ok, I dropped my expectations - and my subscription. I also uninstalled the app. Thanks for the tip. See ya! || Original: Not configurable enough. I used Pro Weather Alert until it was abandoned by the developer. Nothing I've tried even comes close. It was so customizable. It allowed turning on and off each & every alert type, & had three severity levels for each alert type, emergency, urgent, & default, each with its own sound & DND setting. Could someone make an alert app like that?!

Lacks customizability, never really replaced Simple Weather Alerts. About a month ago it failed to display a tornado warning, all the phones and the TV issued the alert. Today, a special weather statement for a strong storm came in some five minutes after another app (new feature) displayed it. It missed a second alert. Since NOAA Weather Free now includes customizable push alerts and they actually work, I hereby dub this app obsolete and unfortunately, unreliable when it counted the most.

like the app except that it chimes and vibrates when you open it, close it, and whenever you even change pages like going to settings to try and get it to stop. Uninstalled and reinstalled and it seemed to fix it. Should have done that right off but my foresight is blind, hindsight is 20/20 tho. I really like that it has a voice warning when things really get dicey. I'd give it 4.5 stars

Great support by author. App widget is also nice and provides non emergency up coming weather storm forcasts. On android 9 on samsung phone I had problems with sounds not happening during do not disturb despite everything set up correctly. Fixed by using the apps supplied trumpet sound rather than a ringtone. App provided sound works while ring tones did not. I like you can customize alerts so you do not get woke up for stupid stuff like fog. Best app for alert customization.

Description states "Looking for a replacement for Pro Weather Alert or AlertsPro? You've come to the right place!" Definitely not true. Has very little control over what alerts you want and what severity level. App won't even let you change the alert tone to something meaningful. Guess I'll have to keep looking

Lost weather widget. Also no severe alert whenever bad storm at the house in the middle of the night. All settings were fine before. Widget disappeared. I just tried everything you stated. This is over two phones as well. All in internal storage, no other option either. Please help since I'm in a hurricane path this week.

This app is exactly what I was looking for. I use it because I like the customization options for changing notifications and notification sounds. Worth the money. I do wish that there was an option for that forced the notification alert even when volume is off but that may be a conflict with android

Well, I really wanted to like this app. Unfortunately, I can't change the default alert tone (trumpet) to a custom MP3 tone on my SD storage drive inserted in my phone (Moto G Power). Respectfully, the default trumpet alert is stupid sounding imo. Edit: the app's description does state the alarms in the free version can't be changed. So kudos for that. Still, the 2 default alarms sound lame. Anyway, I upgraded to 3 stars from 2.

I was having some notification issues. A quick email to the developer came back with fantastic customer service results. Not only were all my questions answered. My problem was solved. Michael even reached out to see how it was going a day later. A quality app by a quality developer who clearly cares about his product.

I used to really depends on this app. However, we haven't had a tornado in months so I don't know when it quit making alerts, but today I only got a silent alert. Haven't changed any settings on phone or app. I now have to look at the phone every few minutes to see if there is a weather emergency.

This app was fine, but recently it non stop badgers me with notifications for event types I disabled. It goes off for air quality alerts that I do NOT care about and despite disabling every "air" notification it pinged a dozen times today. Last straw for me. App works well, just hope you want to be bothered by every single alert type with no functioning way to dismiss or suppress them.

One of the best Severe Weather apps there are period! I am hard to impress and 5 stars takes alot, this application defiantly delivered. Working perfectly and up to date upon simply moving the page provides, Complete and accurate information on what severe weather is present county by county. A must have for Chasers, worrier's, and Weather buff's alike!!

Bug Alert, the webpage for a web browser points to some place unknown place outside the USA, however the map is right to my State and local area, well planned in design. Overall, nice app, fix bug and good to go there.

Reliable app. Is missing the option to have a persistent notification. Once I view the notification, its no longer there to remind me that im in an alert zone. Id prefer not to use the widget - i like a clean homescreen.

Roi. T. Jul 13, 2020

No persistent (ongoing in notification bar during alert active) notification aside from the one to be cleared so 4 stars. Otherwise'd be a 5 star app. Dev keeps updated and has a good layout, easy to use, connects well to service, etc. Well done so far. Thank you, to dev. 👍

On 6-19-19 I gave this a 5-star review. But today, I uninstalled it because it no longer works. Every time it was updated, it became less functional. If I could get the original app I might be happy with it, but there is no way to uninstall updates. I am very disappointed in whoever has been doing the updates. I would give this app a -5 star if I could but I have to put something so I put 1 star, but it's not even worth that.

So far so good with pushing timely alerts! But my only criticism is a big one: the alert notifications only show the category and severity, not the actual NWS name for the advisory -- for example, "Tornado (Extreme)" instead of "Tornado Watch." Not even the info boxes in the app itself have the actual name of the advisory. This is a huge problem (tor warning is emergency; tor watch is not) & unfortunately a dealbreaker for me.

It's an okay app, it does what it's designed for. However, colour coding is inconsistent with the event alert. One Freezing Rain Warning in New Brunswick was labelled as severe, but same event for Halifax was labelled as moderate. It's not a map that could be shared for public viewing on social media. Colour red for example means a warning in Canada, but not with this app. I certainly wouldn't advocate paying for the app.

Everything looks good, all set up and waiting for severe weather. I like that it's not a huge app that clutters the available memory on my tablet.
