lucky I got this for free because of the play pass. The AI is incredibly broken, the controls are highly unresponsive, the character is too slow at times, the game barely gives you a tutorial on the basic fighting moves, how is this a 'special edition' when this game is almost unplayable unless you want to spent hours trying to beat some dumb boss because he's just spamming one move or spam throwing a object. Plus it gets repetitive at times, and the worst part of it all is it cost money.👎😡
As someone who has played part of the original, this is definitely worth the price if you want a fighting game without ads, no stupid energy system or reason to buy micro transactions. It gets a bit frustrating at times, as you do need to really keep upgrading your stuff to keep in the fight but that's what survival is for. I would much rather grind and suplex ninjas than wait around for my energy to replenish.
Addictive gameplay but bosses are very unfair. Some fights may be extremely easy, but suddently the difficulty can change. For example, the last part of the game was easy, but the final boss is almost impossible to beat. And, to be fair, some parts of the game can get boring, especially because of the simple and uninteresting story. It is at least better than most mobile games out there. 7/10
Smooth animations, engaging background music, artistic sceneries, and simple controls. I played the free version of this app several years ago and it still is the best action casual game I have played. If you're looking for a no-fuss straight-into-action kind of fighting mobile game, this one right here is a worthwhile purchase.
I had to put 4 stars for only one thing that unfortunately keeps it from being a perfect game. It is unnecessarily long, I mean, when you get to Iron Realm the number of Bosses and Mini Bosses is just absurd. For the common enemies I understand that you fight them many times but come on, I'm on my way to Titan and I have to defeat all main Bosses and their bodyguards for the third time. Other than that, it's an amazing game, deserves all the praises.
For the decent price you get a much less grindy experience than the regular version. No stamina system and better access to gems, almost no Survival grind required, gem equipment more affordable. But some bugs, oversights and a ridiculously terrible difficulty spike in the last area make it seem like this version wasn't playtested. Key features like enchanting are missing, which stupidly make this almost more of a sidegrade than upgrade. It's still a very fun romp until you get to the last area.
I enjoy the game I think that its style and fluidity are great especially for a fighting game on a phone. However, it has extreme faults. One, the hit detection is absolutely atrocious. For each fight, there are at LEAST 5 hits that are total bs or don't register when it's clearly a hit. Also, many of the bosses (Especially Titan) have an huge advantage or a stupid amount of health that just makes the game unfair. I understand difficulty and I welcome it, but it's at a point of being stupid.
I do like this game and this version is worth the price... however I do have problems with it. Certain things were removed from the free version but the game wasn't balanced to make up for the changes. Example after completing the tourney and challenges in all areas there isn't a way to make significant progress your level. You also can't enchant your equipment. Both of these make the final gauntlet frustrating at best. The game isn't bad I just wish nekki had taken a little time to balance more
Overall a great game but there are some improvements that can be made 1. There are only small and large controller sizes. It need s medium 2. On Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 there is a huge black part on the right and nothing on the left. In the normal version of the game there are equally sized black rectangles on both sides, wich is much better. It should be customizable. If you could fix these issues it would be greatly appreciated. :)
For some reason, SF2SE lacks some of the features of the normal edition, such as eclipse mode and enchanting. I've only gotten to the Hermit fight so far, but for some reason, it was way harder than the non-special edition - quite unfair, and impossible difficulty despite having the best gear I could have at the time. The game eliminates many of the microtransactions, which is nice, but unfortunately it seems there is no "perfect" way to play Shadow Fight 2.
So close to an amazing title.. Unfortunately it needs to be balanced, and the controls aren't perfect (although the AI does a good job using their moves, so you know the quality combat is there). And please...add a cooldown to the AI's throwing ability. I'm rage quitting, not gonna lie. It also needs a proper tutorial that goes over the Punch > Kick > Roll system
Ah man, I can't play any of the clips but that's okay I can look it up on the internet. Controls are the best better than any fighting games I've ever played, it's simple and satisfying. Bosses are unique and very very well balanced considering their worth in the game. Every boss requires different strategies and it's very pleasing to use different ways to defeat them. Overall very satisfied with this game, except for the very disappointing ending. the best game I've ever played.
So, so close to perfection. The special version of Shadow Fight 2 is just better in every way to the normal version... Except for the fact that the free version has MORE CONTENT! How is that possible? How is the paid version of the game the one you would prefer the least??? The content that is in the game already is amazing, and the story is great, but it's so frustrating when you realize you should've went with the free version instead of the paid version. It's just dissapointing.
The game is very fun, somethings can be annoying like hot ground bugs and some of the boss abilities are just dumb but it is an over all very great game! My only real problem is the fact that you can't reset your game data, I hadn't played in a while and I wanted to reset my game... but I couldn't. If anyone does know a way to reset I would love to know. But still, I love this game and my problem is only a minor set back to the rest of the game and it is still worth the price.
It's a really great game and has amazing animations, awesome gameplay, and easy controls. The only thing that I dislike about it is the grinding you have to do to progress. Also the A.I. spams you with throwables which are almost impossible to dodge. Other than that I love the game and hope they come out with more like this.
Playing this for a few days with play pass and eh. First, when it went to playpass it seems to no longer have a store to "buy" credits. Well fine. But the controls and hits are so laggy. I spent more then a few matches over a minute in with no hits either side. I would have loved to see this with controller support. May have made it a bit better, but i doubt it.
This game has been, overall well. Im glad that the progress doesnt effect the progress on the free version, which would be a cool idea to be given a choice on whether you want it to or not. Although there is occasional freezing mid-game that messes with my fight. Another thing is that the loading when you transition to your arsenal or start a fight, takes a good amount of time for me (which means it is taking longer than expected). Other than those two problems, it is a great game.
Paid version of the game which offers a much more satisfying experience and drastically reduces the required grind. However, new content wasn't added in a long time and this is where Special Edition is severely lacking and is downright inferior to the regular F2P version, there is basically nothing else to do once the story is beaten. Some achievements appear to be glitched and support for the game is non-existent.
If I'm being honest, the story has got to be the most well-written, which is impressive for a game nearly a decade old. The animations, background, and music are all well-made playing from start till the very end. However, this game version doesn't have the multi-player option unlike the free one which means in terms of replayability, there's nothing much a player can do after defeating Titan. But all I can say is that you won't regret buying this game for all the aforementioned features.
