If I could give less than 1 star I would. I have paid for a subscription and have been using this horrible application since July. The application is unstable. I have 7 different servers and all of them don't work with FB, IG, ect. I have a 200mb line at home and I will be lucky to get 2mb when this vpn is connected. In the evenings this app just doesn't work because the servers are to slow.
Not well written. Will probably work for many. No provision for socks 4/5, no provision for 'open' proxies. Just needed a tool to 'bridge' Android 9's phony VPN settings dialog limitation. Dude, write a tool to connect to an ip port combination using Socks 5 protocol and the world will beat a trail to your door.
One slight complaint. When I choose an image from gallery for scanning QR code, the APP always closes. Other than that, perfection.
Overal, i love this app and how smooth it is but i have some tips to make it better: can you make an option to test all of the existing profiles and remove the not working ones automatically? because sometimes you have hundreds of servers and you don't know if all of them are alive
Since upgrading to android 10, my phone keeps terminating the app even though I've turned off the battery optimization, would be great if it had a keep-alive option to relaunch the app and reconnect whenever the other apps try and terminate it
Hello Team, first of all thank you for this wonderful app. Do you think you could add support for Vmess protocol? There is a few apps around but none have all the functions of yours. It would make it just awesome!!!...Thank you for considering it.
I like Shadowsocks It would be even better if it had these two options: 1. Automatically check all the servers and activate the best one 2. Selecting multiple servers together and deleting them
shutting down unnormally because of infinite loop(maybe) and cannot detect Internet connection in some situation in which I have to reboot system to reset. Now I degrade to old version(4.7.*)
Sorry to say that after update I can not scan from QR code. Even in macbook pro and android. Thanks in advanced to make sure you will solve the problem. After all great apps. But I don't wanna submit it with 5* review.
Honestly, I left my expectations with shadowsocks for about the performance. Im wireguard guys before that, and my isp clearly slowing down any all premium vpn speed including express vpn or alternate vpn like wireguard. Using shadowsocks its not priority because it doesnt work like general vpn. But i was shocking about the performance. It can bypass what isp limiting speed and not implementing complex system like wireguard or openvpn do. Overall very easy to use to bypassing isp limitations
It is fantastic, but sometimes it refuses to connect and shows 0kbps ...so i need to restart it again and again for so many times and it annoying sometimes thats why just 3 stars
Works with wi-fi but tends to fail to connect via 4G. Needs an in-depth and easy to understand set of instructions and set-up guide for people unfamiliar with ShadowSocks.
Used to be good but now No longer works Vpn Turns on but then nothing will load after vpn is switched on. Cant speed test or anything. Tried changeing settings but still nothing now. I did highly recommend this vpn to other but not anymore.
No connectivity since 7.30pm CST. The app just stopped receiving any traffic at all before that it was working really good.
This is absolutely amazing! Thank you, I have a suggestion though, please add the function to have an outbound proxy server so the phone connects to that first and then to SS server
It is very useful for setting VPN by myself. But you must have the password and the IP address of the service center.
the app suddenly stops at certain times even though battery optimisation is off. and also suggestion, please have the option to share the vpn connevtion via hotspot.tnx
I believe the latest update somehow worsens the connection stability, before the update it was lotsss smoother. do check, please.
I'm using this as a bridge for my other VPN to connect through. Gets around basically every network block possible! Amazing! Someone buy this guy a beer!
I dunno. It was work prretty good. But now very slow. Fix it please. SS ON my laptop have speed. But nowadays on my phone cannot even open a page. I dunno why . Fix it
Shadowsocks is blazing fast but idk why FB and FB messenger can't function when using the app. Tried troubleshooting it but to no avail. 😥😥😥 Will give 5 star if the issue is resolve.
i am using dns point to adjust server name, but after i am doing that while running app i am getting invalid server name that the app won't run because of symbols in server name using dns point. can you update app to accept ( - ) symbol that used in dns point. i need an update that solves that problem please. thanks in advance
From my experience, the best application for avoid censorship with Shadowsocks. I would suggest adding toggle button in notification section (Samsung).
Great app! So fast, but I hope in the next update I can play Mobile Legends or any online games. Can you please add SSTAP for Android in that way I can play online games.
The app was working .. but idk why now its just not working.. i delete it and i installed it again but still i cant use wifi from the file .. even if i chenged the file even if i chenged something from the file...
Though i want to support developers and accept ads,but you should keep my profile when i update from google play....fuvk. all profile lost back to default server settings now
Run smoothly, sometimes server overload but lots better than other vpn, easy use. Many thanks to developer for a such good work.
*update: Tracked down some info somewhere suggesting to put 8.8.8.8 in remote dns field. Been working since. Not sure it's a shadowsocks issue so giving back some stars. Better help would be nice.* Well it used to work. Now it doesn't. Reinstalled three times now. Failed to detect internet connection. Unable to resolve host. Nonsense. Unstable and unreliable for days. Every once in awhile it works for some reason, then goes back to not working again.
