Shake Flashlight

Only issue is I continually have to open the app and switch it on even though I never turned it off. The ads don't bug me. The app didn't cost money and I just figure that's the price for using it. It is really cool not having to unlock my phone to turn the flashlight on.... especially when it's dark and I need to access it quickly.

Great concept, mediocre execution. JUST DOWNLOAD THE ONE CALLED "SHAKE-TORCH (FLASHLIGHT)", it has a yellow lightbulb icon. Make sure to turn off battery optimization for it and it works perfectly.. Even with screen off! I'm happy that I'm able to use it with my screen locked and it works really well... When it works. Maybe it's something I have to do on my end, but it will stay active for random amounts of time then I gotta open the app and physically turn it on for it to be ready again.

I loved this app until it.started possessing my phone. I leave for work at 3am and need a reliable, handy flashlight for walking to my car. I live in the sticks everyone near has big, loud dogs and I try not to turn any lights on so I don't wake up the whole neighborhood. I though I found the perfect app, easy to turn on (you can adjust the shake sensitivity) and nice and bright. Anyway had for a week and I liked the functionality but it suddenly turns on by itself ... like in the middle of the night while sitting on my nightstand!. Bye bye flashlight!

works well. just installed it. works with screen off for me. if i shake it too much to switch the light on and off multiple times, it sometimes doesn't work. but in real life use, like shaking once to switch on and then to off, it works well. just need to get the sensitivity right. i wish that the app didn't open when i shake the phone. it should simply turn on the light. the app shouldn't open. that's my only compliant.

The app does exactly what it says it does. It's a utility app that states its purpose and delivers. No flashy (no pun intended) extras to confuse or distract you. It has adds that appear at the bottom of the screen but they are small and don't interfere with the user's ability to interact with the ui. I've had no issue with the adds, this is a free app after all and the creators have a right to make a profit from their product.

Works as advertised. BUT as soon as I installed it, my lock screen began turning on every 5 minutes or so for no reason (the phone is on the desk, not being touched at all). The lock screen turns on and then off after a second, as if someone pressed the power button twice with a 1-second interval. The "shake active" or something like that permanently taking up space my notifications is a stupid idea. The whole point was to remove the previous flashlight app control bar from notifications. So I blocked notifications for this app. Is that causing the screen to go on?

This is great! I have an One Plus 7 Pro and the 2 things it's missing that all my Moto X & Z's had was the no screen touch flashlight feature. With my 7 Pro it even works with the screen off. As long as you start the app first you can turn the flashlight on and off even when the screen is off and locked. Developers, Please consider a auto start and run in background option so one would not have to manually start the app. BEST ADD-ON APP EVER!

Phenomenal app. User must understand that it is not possible to enable this type of feature without having an app open/enabled . Sensitivity is perfect , and doesn't just turn on with a single shake. The actual sensitivity depends on the device, along with the age of the device. Think of it like how does it do when using the smiles or hand wave gesture while taking pictures ? How promptly does it respond? The app works perfectly and as it is designed to work . Play with the sensitivity

I notice that older android phones have a shake to turn your flashlight on feature that was not included in newer androids. This app works great for those of us who want that functionality withought sacrificing their current cellphone. It can be a but clunky. And it appears that you do have to close thebapp when you open your phone after you use this feature, but i think this is a great tool and i will be using this quite frequently!

So easy to use! It'a great safety feature, especially at night time! I'm a woman, alone in the dark walking to my vehicle to open it with the flashlight! This light helps to see who's around or near you at night? I also used in to find a ring I dropped in the street! It's been so convenient, quick at hand, but a great safety feature! I like it a lot! fairly good, sometimes doesn't register properly to turn off but whatever, no biggie. Super annoying that I have to close the app every time I bring my phone out of sleep mode, though. If there's a way to stop that, sweet deal. If not, oh well. If I could only deduct half a star, I would, since that "issue" isn't really that big of a deal anyways.

Works, but not entirely as it should. Shaking the phone to turn on the flashlight also brings up the app interface, which I don't need! When shake detection is active, there is a large notification icon permanently in the status bar. I don't need that one either. Please change these.

Doesn't work very fluidly on Pixel 4a 5g. Even with sensitivity at maximum, can't seem to turn off flashlight less than 3 or 4 servings after it was turned on (for example, if you accidentally activated it). It's a nice attempt at dominating the Motorola feature, but it just falls short, at least for now.

It's really handy being able to turn this on with a shake, but super annoying to shut down, requiring multiple clicks. You can turn it off with a shake and then the next time you open your phone you have to exit and then say no to an ad and then one more click to exit. The 2 clicks too many.

This has been the best flashlight I ever had with the easy Shake on shake off feature. But I updated the app today which the app was working just fine... now the stupidest thing happens when I shake the phone. The flashlight application opens up, shows flashlight picture, the switch goes from yellow (off) to green (on)... and guess what... the flash on phone doesn't turn on (even showing it's on, on screen). So stupid where you have bug fix × 5 and fudge up the point of the app!!

I have arthritis and was able to turn the sensitivity up so was able to shake it gently and without hurting myself. Recommended. Addendum - irritatingly, whenever the phone either runs out of charge or I shut it down, the Flashlight stays completely off until I turn it back on. Also, it does not work at all on a general close i.e not being used which means I have to have the phone on for it to work. 🦩

Does work when Samsung screen is darkenes...can just shake it on, and shake right back off again, all without any touch of the screen. Yes , the app will be present as soon as you open your screen the next time, but what do you expect?...this function is made possible by the app! I used to have Android Turbo 2 where the flashlight shake was built in and really was handy, and this re-creates that nicely!

Works good, my phone doesn't have to be unlocked or open, samsung s10e, for it to work. However, the app has to be open. If I clear the app out of my open pages the shake feature does not work. If I leave it open, I can switch out of it and go to other apps and it still work, I just can't ever close it. Will give 5 star if this gets fixed because it works great other than that.

It works when it wants to. I've tried tweaking the sensitivity, but how I need to shake it to turn the light on is totally inconsistent. Sometimes it won't work unless I gently wave my phone back and forth. Other times I have to give it a few quick jiggles. Usually nothing works and I just end up having to unlock my phone to use the default light anyway.

Very useful. Would give five stars but from time to time it doesn't work, I mean that the app needs to be running all the time and sometimes it isn't, maybe I closed the app unintentionally or it shuts down by itself. I haven't figured out which one is it. But most of the time it works great.

Works for my LG V60 with screen locked. Installed, cranked up the sensitivity, and tested. Worked great. THEN, without thinking about it, went for a bike ride (very bouncy). Went to get ph out of bag and found the flashlight on. Don't think this will be much use to me as it is. NEEDS either an easier way to turn off (or widget?), a timer (to disable for short periods, also easily accessible) or (BEST CHOICE) an automatic temporary disable when there's too much shaking. With that, it'd be GREAT!

As long as you don't have the sensitivity number too low it works well. But if it's on a 4 or lower then it just comes on all the time. So I keep it about a 7 or 8 out of 10 for sensitivity and it works great.

Works ok most of time. Sone times does not work at all , it does not matter how much you shake. Then must restart phone in order to it to work. The best shake light is only on Motorola phones , as its part of their own hardware and software. They are only ones that do it perfectly and effortlesly.

I've used this specific app for about 5 years now, on two different phones. This light is easy to use, and can be set to come on if theres a sudden jolt of the phone. If I accidentally drop my phone, the light comes on, which has been very helpful to find it on the ground in the dark. Settings are easy to change.

At first I really liked this app because I missed the chop activation feature from my moto z and this app provides that feature. Now that I've had it installed for a day I don't like it so much because the flashlight keeps turning on in my pocket. When you chop to activate it, you only have to LIGHTLY chop it. My moto z used to require a double, heavy chop. This was better because it kept it from accidentally activating. Well I'm having to uninstall because I can't waste that much battery.Bummer
