Shake Screen On Off FREE
Avoid breaking your power button. Just shake your phone and lock or unlock it.
IT WILL NOT DRAIN YOUR BATTERY. On device's up to Android KitKat 4.4, the battery consumption should be minimal. On device's running Android 5+, due to an Android bug, there will be more battery being used, but it still should not be a huge amount. I did all I could to make the app work on Android 5+, and so I rather make it work, even if more battery is necessary to keep it working.
My main focus when I implemented the app was on not draining the battery, and it won't. Let it run for a day and then check the app's battery consumption. It should be minimal (as opposed to other "Shake to turn the screen on and off" and "Shake to Lock and Unlock" apps on Google Play.
This is the FREE version of the app "Shake Screen On Off". On the PRO version, you can do everything you can do on the FREE version, plus:

- the user can choose to start the app automatically after the device is turned on.3
- the app can be set to unlock the screen automatically when the screen is turned back on.4
- the app can use the proximity sensor to avoid accidentally turning on the screen when the device is on a pocket, for instance.5
- The device can be set to vibrate every time the screen is turned on or off.
-------------------------UNINSTALLATION-------------------------Due to the fact that the app needs admin privileges to run, if you want to uninstall it you must do it by clicking on the uninstall button inside the app. If you try to uninstall the app using the standard Android App Manager, the uninstall button will be disabled. Just remember that to uninstall the app, you must access the app itself.
---------------------COMPATIBILITY---------------------Unfortunately, on some devices the app will not be able to turn the screen back on (when the user shakes the phone) after the screen is turned off. It's a hardware limitation of these devices, and there is nothing that can be done on the software side to avoid it. For instance, I've tested the app on the 'LG Nexus 4' and it works flawlessly; on the other hand, on the 'Samsung Galaxy Ace' the accelerometer sensors are turned off the moment the screen goes off. If that is the case on your device, please send me an email (there is a button on the app to do it) explaining what is happening on your specific case. The app will add the model and manufacturer of your device to the body of your email (please do not erase this information) and I will remove your device from the list of available devices on Google Play. This app gives you exactly what it says in the description for free no bull. You can pay for the upgrades for cool little extras but besides that hands down such a good app, literally saved me from buying a new phone or paying to get it fixed. If you are having issues with your power button I HIGHLY recommend this app. You can even choose which kind of sensitivity you want the app to react to when shaking the phone. Incredible!
I have a ZTE phone, the only way I could get it to power on was to plug in the charger and unplug it, that was until I downloaded the Shake Screen OnOff app, it works flawless, turns my phone on and off with a slight shake also I really like the option to set the shake very gentle or like mixing a can of paint, I chose the Medium which is the default setting just a gentle shake will power my phone on it off, this app is awesome and very useful in the case your power button fails or it's just on.
It's great at first but after leaving your phone for some time you can't unlock the screen by shaking it. Is there a way to make it where it's permanent as it's a nightmare having to keep pressing the app every 10 minutes while at work!? Once I've got the solution I'll happily give it 5 stars
Its perfectly working on my old Qmobile M90, which only have 1GB of RAM. My power button was missing so i was very tense to always put something in the power button hole to on or off my mobile. This app really did great job. Love your app dear developer. Here is a suggestion for an app, my mobile have physical 3 touch keys like HOME, BACK and MENU, which were out of the touch screen so i wish to reboot my mobile using one of these keys. Please make an app gor this purpose.
Wonderful👏. My phone's power button has not been working for two months now. And this app helped me a lot. It is exactly what it says it to be so feel free to install it if you're in my situation or if you just want to wake your screening by shaking your phone just for fun.
I installed this app (thank goodness the free one) and followed all the instructions. My battery went from 96% full to ZERO in a little under 3 hours! I uninstalled it and hope it didn't leave any residual junk behind. I reall did want it to work.

This is awesome, goes hand in hand with shake flashlight by Androidrock. Put shake screen on least sensitivity, put shake flashlight on highest sensitivity. Shake Screen on/off flick wrist once, shake flashlight shake. Thank you, will be buying pro! (Some may need an AOD (always on display) phone).
This app works perfectly on my Alcatel Pixi 4, but it stops working when i restart my phone, so whenever i restart my i have to go into the app before it starts working and also it drains my battery slowly. But in all its a very good app and it deserves a five star. Well done
It worked well for me, but after using it for one day, I believe the shaking fixed my power button. It was jammed in, it is out now and working fine.
There are total eight sensitivity levels. I wish there were ten. Number one (viz extremely sensitive) is the most sensitive at present. If only there were 2 more 'more sensitive' levels above 1.
Powerful apps, thanks alot developer. I only ask the you to allow the pocket mode detection which is currently in Pro, make it free to always be there, coz the app becomes annoying when it ons/offs the phone un intentionally which consumes more battery etc. Please
I downloaded this app, it's working fine but when i activated lock with pin and when I wanted to unlock with same pin, it says wrong pin. It's not acceptable,how can you change my pin?

I really like this It performs wonderful The only issue is when I make or receive a call The screen stays blank no matter what I try I even go in when I can to turn it off, that works then I don't turn it back on
i think this app is so helpful to those phones which can not press or be able to used their lock buttons. you should keep on making an improvement or atleast maintain the effectiveness not just from the beginning of the usage in the app.
On the first look, it doesn't seem promising but app actually works 👍 .........and it's helpful too ........but it's pretty basic ........means atleast developers could provide a vibration feature in the free version too

The app is all good....but the one thing what I don't like is the notification which is always showing on the locked screen and the notification bar.....but still not uninstalled the app because it's so much useful
This app was really helpfull. This was working really well. I am on my tablet..not sure if it would work on phone. I installed sooo many apps. This one is perfect. I would totally recommend for Lenovo Tablet. Once again. Thank you
This is one of the best apps when it comes to waking and locking screen, it really does what its meant to do. The amazing thing is that it has lot of sensitivity that you can choose. I just love it, it's cool. Try it!!
works perfectly in past, but recently its not working when i try to unlock by shaking. *background is enable * administration enable. but no result!!
I like the the app it's so good But the reason why I gave it 4stars it's because when ever I want to power off the phone I have to fast go and restart the app again please if possible improve on that

My on/ off switch was broken and for a long time i turned it on with pencils. This app made turning my phone on and off so much easier! DOWNLOAD IT...😊
I have used so many apps to on and off ... All of them worked for off the screen but non worked for on the screen. Thanks for this app its working for both on and off . My device is InFocus M350 Android 5.1
It works on my Android 6 Finow Q1 standalone android watch. I have this watch laying in the closet for a year now since I was very disappointed with what you can do with it. My eyes are not that good anymore so using apps in the small screen is hard to read. I am not using a simm so it has to be bleutooth connected to my phone. Granted it is practical to quickly to see incoming messages. But worse you have to push a button to see what time it is. I have been looking for an app to turn the display on since I wanted a stand alone android to have all the android apps available to me but I could not find it Only suggestion to use tasker. But the screen is very small and hard control for me (think fingers) and often difficult or impossible to read since buttins are outside the view. Anyway, Tested this app and it works! I had to set it so super sensitive but that is good enough for me. Now I am going to buy the pro version. Thank you Makers :-) And I have to back up the app just in case it gets some decides to remove this app.
