Shakepay: Buy Bitcoin in Canada

Great, almost excellent. Shakepay is very easy to use. I really appreciate that It asks every single time for security code in order to use the app. It's also very easy to track your purchases and to take a look at all of your sales. I also like that it shows you the charts for the sale prices and that it's so easy to do a buy/sell or limit order. I think it would be great if they had a separate chart that show when you purchased and the current price to help you know what percent you have +/-

Very mixed feeling about Shakepay. The debit VISA with sats back is great. The UI is simple and straight forward and price alert function is also great. Customer service... on the other hand, is very sub-par. I've been trying to get a hold of a person who can help with a missing wire transfer but to no avail. It's been more than 3 days since I tried to contact them via in-app help but no response. It would have been a 5* but the support is just too lacking.

Best way to get started with Bitcoin! Being brand new to the topic, I did a lot of research and found Shakepay to be the easiest and more user friendly way of getting into cryptocurrency. The application is easy to use, has a clean and clear interface. Also, you get to shake your phone!

Never had any issues with the app. Smooth, seamless transactions every time. Truth be told it's crazy how when you fund your account with an e-transfer it only takes about 14 seconds but if I e-transfer anyone else I'm waiting for 14 hours. I've been getting all my friends and people from Facebook Marketplace on it for this reason. ShakePay transactions are all but instant. And I guess more importantly they're a reliable BTC and ETH exchange! Like... What more could you want?

So I'm new to crypto, and someone referred me to this app. There was some confusion about the $30 referral so I contacted them and customer service was very helpful and resolved my problem. I've been slowing buying and not had a problem so far. The app itself takes some time getting use too with all the selling and buying and putting limits on but does get easier with time. I'd definitely recommend this app if your just starting out.

Just completed a little over a year on Shakeout & it's probably the easiest way to earn passive BTC without doing anything special. 2% cash back is pretty good. Getting #Shakepaid is probably the best feeling! Phenomenal customer support. Instant transfer from my bank to Shakepay account. Referral pay is pretty quick by system without having to worry about reaching out to support. I just wish they'd release a physical Visa Credit card & it would be just perfect! Overall, it's pretty good app!

Honestly mostly everything has been a positive experience. UI is simple to use, funds transfer are straight forward, no headache using it. Small suggestion would be outline the spread in the transaction screen so don't have to calculate each time. Other than that, awesome work!

Fast and easy to use and enjoy getting paid in btc everyday with increments as I do it day after day. You'll make lots if you don't forget to shake everyday as it'll restart. Hey, it's free and easy. No complaints, just happy to have been shown this app. I like it, specially since it has a prepaid credit card option to spend that integrates with Google pay.

I would give a 4.5/5 if Google allowed me to. The app is a great way for newcomers to easily buy and get into Bitcoin and Ethereum! The new Shakepay card is cool and great incentive to collect cashback as crypto to slowly build up more. However, since the app doesn't provide a virtual or physical card (it must be added to Google pay, etc.) It makes purchases, outside mobile payments IRL, next to impossible. Overall, it's still a great app and the shaking sats (free Bitcoin) is amazing as always!

Can not use online with Google Pay without a full credit card number which they only give the last 4 digits. It's basically useless unless you use your phone to tap. Does not work online. Send out physical cards already, this is absolute bs. Edit: in response, you can not use Shakepay with Google Pay online from a mobile phone. The Shakepay card does not show up at all. Wealthsimple has a better similar crypto rewards card available now for anyone who is having the same problems with Shakepay.

What a great app! Simple, secure and extremely rewarding. The prepaid rewards Visa is so worth it, I'm using it for most of my incidental spending. I've even had an entire purchase paid back in BTC! Get Shakepaid, y'all!

I would not recommend Shakepay to anyone. Their customer service is horrible. They say that "You are our top priority and we try our best to get back to you as quickly as possible." As we know the word "TRY" is to LIE. they kept my wire transfer almost a month, As of today they still have not returned an amount that it was flagged suspicious. They do not give you any explanation of why. There fees are high for the so called service they are offering. There are plenty of other exchanges out there more user friendly and customer service oriented.

I have been using this APP for about one year now. I haven't had issues. I have been getting the updates on the new email transfer address. They do take the verification process professionally at first. I have had positive interactions with their customer service agents. I am still learning about Bitcoin. This APP is the only one that I can say is legit. I am beginning to earn cashback sats through the visa card. This is amazing!

Excellent app! It's the first crypto app that I've used, and it's great. Never had a problem. You can buy and sell BTC and ETH, you fund it via e-transfer. Works as a card too, you can use your dollar balance to pay in stores. Customer support is nice and fast too.

I love free crypto currency. And if you are Canadian this is the perfect app for it. I can also confirm that withdrawals to your bank through e transfer work flawlessly. I was able to save up 100 dollars and cash out without any issue. Well ok one issue. I forget to shake everyday. But that's a me issue.

One of the most user-friendly, community-based, and simple apps to use within Crypto investing. Shake your phone and don't break your streak! The only thing missing is....dark mode. My eyes, they burn. So much so, that the 5th review star has also burned. Otherwise, the app is straight-forward, links to your bank, and has near-instantaneous transfers in and out. Easiest way to buy Crypto, easy to fund your account, great customer support, support for limit orders right in the app and not just market buys which can be expensive. The Shake feature is absolutely brilliant and is a great analogy to dollar cost averaging.

In my experience - HANDS DOWN THE BEST BTC EXCHANGE IN CANADA. So easy to use. Smooth UI. Fast. And if my maths are correct, one of the lower spreads in the Canadian BTC landscape. Shakepay was the only app who helped to get started with BTC transactions and get transfers fast and easy. While other apps were too slow or expensive, this one felt like breeze. I still only withdraw with Shake and only trust it for being reliable.

Very intuitive and easy to use app! Purchasing crypto on it is a fast and seamless process. It was the first app I used to enter the crypto space. Their credit card and it's associated Bitcoin cashback is great!

I asked for help. They gave none. I sent etransfers they ignored them for days. I have spent 6 days dealing with their inability to give straight answers to transactions that only concern them and their customer. They will not help you because they do not know how. USE THEM AT YOUR OWN PERIL. The problem isn't the app but the people working for shakepay. They do not know how to stay on point and do their jobs.

Very bad app. It's constantly frozen. Even restarting the phone doesn't unfreeze it. Super bad, unfortunately the web version doesn't have basic features so this useless app is mandatory

After brief fumbling around the arguably clear GUI, and not finding what was in front on me, consulting a how to by Cpt. Obvious, (he outranks me so it's OK), I etransfer red $CAD into shakepay, and now bought BTC. I could possibly talk my cat through it remotely, on my surface, on speakerphone, "no baby, click "checking", up up up, there, good GIRL! Now walk on the num-pad like you always do... Yes!... It's that easy. The more I learn about Shakepay, the more I 👍, their mission statement 👌

I literally use this app daily (and shaking it is both a hobby and an obsession). It does what it says it does and does it well. Clean, simple, visually appealing and comes with a good community of users and support. Great, non intimidating, introduction for lay folks (like myself) into bitcoin and crypto currency.

The best Crypto app and as of now the best visa card to have. App is straight forward and very easy to use. Customer service is fast, reliable and always very helpful. Only nitpicky thing is I miss the old rewards from early 2021 lol Highly recommended if you wanna get started with crypto!

I was shown this app over a year ago and it helped keep me thinking about BTC and crypto enough to keep learning more. It's so easy to purchase crypto and send it or fiat instantly to friends. Great app to get some Bitcoin. Just shake your phone app daily with the app open and see the magic happens. Just remember to set a reminder on your phone so you don't break your streak. Just wish they have a better spread rate. Anyway it is free as mentioned, so nothing to complain.
