Share+Connect
Share + Connect is a non-profit initiative of a group of developers at the telecommunications sector.
The purpose of the application is to make easier the donation of goods to charitable organizations, to
re-use items we don’t need anymore and at the same time to maintain an eco-friendly lifestyle.
Share + Connect facilitates the donation of goods to charitable organizations in the following ways:
1. By typing directly in the search box the item you want to donate. A list of organizations that need this specific item, appears promptly. Proximity feature is also available (You need to activate your location).
2. By selecting the "Needs List" and clicking on some item, you get quickly results of the organizations that need the specific item.
3. By selecting the “Organization List”, you can check out the needs of each organization.
Other features:
- The results of the organizations are displayed based on the proximity of each user (GPS activation).
- Availability of information for all organizations (eg contact information, web page, etc.).
- Visibility of extra needs for each organization.
- With the use of map, you can also get the necessary instructions using Google Maps for your convenience.
Important information:
- The needs list is updated at regularly basis so that it is always up to date.
- We recommend that you communicate by phone with the organization for the delivery times before delivering the goods.
- Participation of the organizations is free of any financial obligation.
