Bought this after moving from iPhone to Android. Not very intuitive for the user. I wanted a quick connect to my laptop for marine navigation - tried all methods to connect without success. The help file was good and advised a TCP/ serial converter etc so gave up and purchased a cheaper NetGPS - Only TCP but worked first time !! No add ins. Would not recommend Share GPS.
THE BEST GPS SHARING APP! Paired to a Win10 laptop as a GPS mouse. I've tried about 5 other GPS over bluetooth apps and NONE WORKED PERFECT LIKE THIS ONE! My note 8 runs this awesome little app & connects via B.T. to the laptop. I use with a Doppler radio direction finder I made (ham radio) & this app provides the GPS data so while driving the Doppler program shows where I am and where the interfering signal is coming from, like magic! THANK YOU FOR THE PERFECT GPS SHARE APP THAT WORKS GREAT!
App is not sharing nmea using tcp/ip under android 10 anymore. It works on Android 7. It says is connected but no sentences passing through.
This app is very helpful. But sometimes the app is crashing after phone gone to sleep. I think dev should add new 'caffeine' feature to prevent sleep within the app.
Bluetooth connection is unstable. App status is still "connected", but I don't receive any nmea on my laptop over time.
This could save my day, I could use this with TEMS software which is used for GSM network Drive testings.. Thx for the app.. Keep it up your good works..
the perfect app for every astrophotographer. helps in calibrating the GPS in star and sky maps on PCs like kstars tor telescope alignment
Works really good on USB but i can't make it work on bluetooth
Could not get Bluetooth NMEA output under Android 10
Crashed when using tcp connection and gps running.
I really like being able to use my phone as a GPS server to my laptop
I have an android laptop with no gps. How can i share gps signal of my android smartphone to android laptop? Can i do it?
I could not get my laptop to recognize my phone with this app as GPS device. Instructions are unclear.
More of a question. Galaxy S7 running Nougat. I have Share GPS installed. I'm using Gps Gate to interface to my GRLEVEl3 weather radar program on my pc. I can get it work but when my phone display turns off, I lose the gps fix and gps gate turns red indicating no data coming in. I've checked to make sure share gps isn't going to sleep when my phone display turns off. Can you help.
Great. Simple setup: ShareGPS on my Galaxy S6, putty sniffing bluetooth com port on my laptop.
Really handy and works like a charm, you can automate it a lot if you look into it online!
Bought premium as a thank you. Although it did take me a while to figure it out. Detailed instructions and use cases might prevent future one star reviews.
Keeps crashing when responding to restful calls. Bad software.
Very nice.... Thank you for your work. Used for telescope with franson gpsgate. Tried TCP ,but UDP works best for me. For easy use: static IP addresses are my friends. Again thank you.
This app is simply awesome i got all data of gps on my webserver using tcpip .
I'm trying to send my phone GPS to an Hp touched with Android on it. So far this is the only app I can find that works. Very simple to set up, and nothing needed to be installed on the touched. I'm going to test it a little more before buying, but this looks like it works very well. A bargain for 1.99.
Great App thanks ! However altitude comes back incorrect, all other GPS devices on android record an altitude of around 50m below what share GPS is outputting.... Can this be fixed ? Update- all problems fixed. App works perfectly. Recommended!
Great app! I tried another app, and this is easier, and consistent in performance. I did drop one star because I did have some difficulties setting up over a year ago. Using with Win 10, and Bluetooth. I use it with GPSGate splitter to get NMEA sentences out over a virtual com port, and feed it to a Meade Autostar 497 for a gps and date fix. While the STARGps hardware option works, it is sporadic, and slow to fix for me. Firing up this app, and the rest, is darn near bullet proof.
