Not great so far... It started great ! But after a month the app takes too long to communicate with the robot, when it communicates... Whatever you guys are doing, please meke it better, and faster. UPDATE: communication is faster today, robot was responsive. 💡 Idea💡 allow the drawing of the room with more than 4 points, it will give the map a little more detail and would avoid unnecessary superpositions

Works for our needs. Our house is constantly changing, so maps are not much use in our case. It would be nice if there was more control over the evacuate and resume function...with a few pets, it fills up quickly and I find I'm having to empty the bin manually quite a bit...so the ability to change it from 30 minutes to 10,20,30, etc. would be beneficial.

You can control your vacuum. But it is very clunky, buggy, and downright infuriating some times. The map gets deleted CONSTANTLY. The notifications are slow. Most of the time, I have to close the app in Android and reload it to get status updates. It's the dumbest smart app I've used. At least there aren't ads everywhere nor does it require a subscription.

The robot itself is great. However, the app is trash. It hasn't come out with a map in the almost 30 full runs since I've gotten it. App freezes when I try to start my vacuum so I have to restart the app. I've uninstall it more than once hoping it would fix the issue. I was hoping it would connect to my Google assistant & to no surprise it won't. Tells me no product is registered to my account. $500 product but can't make a working app.

The Android app crashes every time I launch it. I've reinstalled multiple times and haven't been able to use it once on my Google Pixel 6. I have to use an old iPhone to vacuum the house. Maps clear out of the system once a month on the iphone and I have to remap the whole house. The product works great when it works the way that it works. I wish it would just keep working that way all the time. (And that I could control it from my phone)

The app regularly deletes all the rooms from map. Every couple of weeks, they disappear, and need to be re-added. With big hands it's a bit of a chore to keep redefining rooms on a phone screen. Then, if you're adding a new room, trying to adjust its size, and you accidentally touch a room you've already created, you will move the existing room --- yes, one you create and save a room, it isn't locked into place. It will move. So poorly designed!

App needs a lot of work, frequently freezes and crash's. 99% of the time i try to add no go zones or move one slightly the app will freeze and crash. Needs some work. Also need to be able to make no go zones and high traffic areas more narrow. Sometimes the robot will completely forget about a room and wont vaccuum it on a run even if it has plenty of battery left. Other than that the robot itself cleans great!

The robot itself works great but when it comes to the app it doesn't do a great job in working with the robot. Sometimes it doesn't sync so trying to control the robot with the app is useless, some core features like finding your robot or seeing where it cleaned is buried in the UI. A lot of the features I would want in the app is not front and center in the app. It's pretty frustrating to use so I just use the physical buttons on the robot instead of using the app.

While the vacuum itself is nice, this app is awful. I haven't been able to change my vacuum's schedule since I first set it a year and a half ago because the app will crash any time I open the schedule menu. This even happens across multiple devices! What good is a "smart" vacuum if I have to run it manually every time?

Will not map. Ive run this 20+ times and reset it and did it again, 15 runs. Still no map. Please fix this. Seems with every run he stops and is remembering even though nothing has changed with layout. We have a basic squared layout. Very frustrating. I do however like the robot (Scooter). He does a good job but alot of bugs...please fix so we all that are having mapping issues can enjoy that feature as well. $500 is alot of money for it to work incorrectly. Please

I have had non stop problems with this app since the beginning. The vacuum is okay, had to replace it once because it crapped out. But the app is horrible. Takes a million tries to connect to the vacuum and every once in awhile the app will disconnect from the vacuum, forcing you to go through the whole process of reconnecting.

OMG the whole purpose of this 600$ plus device was for the maps and app function. Which doesn't even work. FIX IT!!! The app only uses straight lines. So you have to make multiple rectangles within a space and merge them. But the app only lets you make the shape a specific size depending on how far you zoom in or out. When you zoom in or out. You have to pinch the screen. When you pinch the screen you can move your rooms. So it's a mess. Especially if you have an open floor plan with stairs..

Here just to add one more low star for the app. No problems with the vacuum, but the app is not great. Starting with the fact that I have to log in every time I open it, including while the vac is actually running. Very difficult to edit rooms and to get it started cleaning a single room. But since the app is necessary to use all the features and they already have your money, they do t care much about fixing the app.

First, let me say that the robot itself is wonderful. When the app is working, the entire system is a snap to use. Unfortunately, most of the time the app doesn't work. And yes, I've called customer service and read the troubleshooting guide and uploaded the newest version of the app when it's available. I can be using the vacuum, sending it to different rooms, and all of a sudden the base appears outside the house on the map. At this point you can't use the map function any longer. Sometimes the base will return on its own to its proper location; sometimes I can delete the robot and add it back and the base is in the right place; but there is NO PERMANENT FIX for this problem. This isn't a customer problem - it's an app problem. I've been battling this for over a year. If the robot wasn't so good on its own I'd just buy a competing brand.

The SharkClean app will not allow me to enable the Recharge and Resume feature. I toggle it to on > save changes then go back to setting and it's toggled to off again. I repeated this process several times and it will not stay on and always reverts back to off. I Google it and apparently it's a common problem. I had hoped the update would fox this. I had even forgotten the robot and added it back and reconnected it to my wifi. I'm disappointed with the app but vac won't work without it.

The robot is fine for the most part. But the app is a complete disaster. Have to force close to get it to update (a simple refresh button would be an easy start). 90% of the time the robot status in the app doesn't match what the robot is actually doing. And as a result you can't control the robot. These issues can't be that hard to fix, so how is the team that's making this app so incompetent? Or maybe it's a bigger structural issue with the company. I do wish they'd figure it out.

Bad app. Connectivity is flakey, UI gets out of sync with bot. Notifications don't make sense (why do you prompt me to enable DND after it's been enabled for months?) I really think the devs need to actually use the app, because it can't even pass ideal use cases. Maps regularly become corrupted somehow with regards to rooms (once you make some rooms, within a week you'll start getting "error occured, try again"... So you basically can't use targeted cleaning unless you want to regularly remap.

I had to get a new Robot after my other one stopped working. As soon as I got the new one, I had it explore the house. It didn't capture everything, so tried again. Next thing I know, the app is freezing and the robot isn't connecting to wifi. I do everything I was supposed to to get the app to work and it kept crashing. Rebooted my phone, cleared my storage, uninstalled/reinstalled app. It won't stay open 2 seconds before it crashes. I'm getting frustrated and I need this app to work!

Maps have to be remapped once a week! Very frustrating. I don't always want the entire house Vaccumed, sometimes a room or two. My robot is great! This app needs major work! Can't really use my robot like I'd like to... focusing on certain rooms. Now when I go into maps to remap once again... it gives an error. The error says "Something went wrong, please try again". Very, Very frustrating!

The app is very unreliable. Trying to start a clean or navigate through the app doesn't always work. Sometimes the app will crash or freeze, display old data, or not even start a clean. I frequently will come into the app to try to start a clean, but nothing will end up happening. 4 or 5 tries typically is what it takes to get the clean to start. The scheduling function appears to work reliably though so I am happy with that (and the actual cleaning the robot vacuum does).

The vacuum itself is great. I hate the app. Took forever to get my map right, I could pick the rooms I wanted it to clean etc. Now it just does whatever it wants, I can't pick the rooms anymore and if I send it back to the dock it takes forever to get there even if it's right next to it. 4.28.22 if I could give zero stats I would. The app is horrible. Everyday I have to log in only to find the rooms I created are gone. The app is slow to open & freezes up. So frustrating....

The vacuum itself works pretty well for me. It is an efficient everyday appliance for my needs. The app, however, is a mess. It constantly deletes the rooms and zones off my map, which I need for the vacuum to function the way I want. The app had been okay for a short time, with my rooms and zones staying in place over multiple uses, so I was pleased and hopeful that it was going to work correctly at last. But after this last update, the app deleted the rooms and now won't even save new ones. The app is stuck on a loading screen rather than completing what used to be a simple task. It renders my vacuum obnoxious to use without that functionality, making it so I have to go babysit it from going into areas I don't want it to be in. Nothing seems to fix it, so all I can do is hope the app is updated again soon.

Why doesn't this app send notifications anymore? I have to open the app to see that something went wrong during a cleaning. For the first 6 to 8 months it worked great, and all of a sudden, no more notifications. I've downloaded the app again, did factory resets on the vacuums, and all permissions are set correctly... Pixel 6 Pro (stopped working on Pixel 3 XL)

I've let the vacuum make 4 maps of the house. Maps looked great every time, added labels and rooms very easily. Frustrating that they removed the specify a room to clean option, although it never worked anyway. Please fix this soon, it hasn't worked right yet. Now with the most recent updates, you're constantly logged out of the app and have to log back in. Yes this is an updated review and I'm still regretting purchasing this vacuum.

App is unusable! Crashes within the first 3-5 seconds of opening it, which includes the animation at launch. I've restarted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app 3x, I'm running Android 12, my Android Security and Google Play system updates are up to date. I literally haven't been able to use my vac through the app for 2 weeks. Update!: With the last software update still being the same from 18 April, I opened the all again and lo and behold, it deleted my home map same as other users!

Please fix your app! You can't have a $600+ smart robot dependant on a buggy app that makes it a chore to use. The robot is fantastic, customers are begging you to just make the app work properly and you are losing their business the longer it takes to fix. The features of the app are great but they just do not work properly. The rooms disappear, the map doesn't display right. Now, I tell it to clean a specific room and it cleans the wrong rooms, even after remapping and reinstalling.

Very delayed and unresponsive when attempting to bring up the menu to select the cleaning options. My rooms and no go zones are also removed every month or so. Very inconvenient. The no go zones never work which leads to the shark getting stuck on a thick carpet where it should have never gone. The thing is a headache.

Control your robot vacuum without chasing it down. Great idea, but why do you always need to have the vacuum talk with shark's servers? That makes the connection extremely unreliable. There should be a local connection option for the app so you just need to be on the same network. Especially since setup is a bit of a pain

I'm about to snap with this damn app. Keeps freezing, can't set rooms or make no fly zone, it just freezes. I got the ai robot and it's gets stuck on chairs also sliding door tracks and saying the cliff sensor is blocked. If this is not fixed in a week it's all going back. I can vacuum my house faster and better than wasting time fighting with the app. Definitely needs alot more work. Dont buy techs not there yet...

I was hoping for 500 bucks on a vacuum, it would work with technology. The app itself is lacking in a lot of features. The SharkClean site itself doesn't help when trying to integrate with Google Home/Assistant, which is another can of worms I haven't been able to figure out. Likely returning it.
