Sharper lmage Smart Scale

When I first got the scale it worked great, but now it will not connect to my phone, it is also stuck in kilograms instead of pounds. Would not advise getting this product. I bought 2 and neither one works properly. Software for the app has not been updated since mid 2020, seems like phones are getting better but sharper image must have a newer model out and does not care about this anymore.

I used the app 2 years ago to setup the scale and adjust the settings. Since then, I noticed the settings have reverted and in order for me to update to my original settings I have to use the app BUT the Bluetooth no longer pairs with the scale. Sigh 😕. I saw a bug fix and hoped it would have fixed this issue but based on other reviews that doesn't seem to be the case.

The button that switches it from kg to lbs is super hard to find. Only after a google search was I able to locate it. Even then, the button was hard to reach as it wasn't directly inside the hole under the sticker, so I had to use a paper clip and fiddle inside for 20 minutes until it finally switched over. Otherwise, it works great.

It worked the first time for me and then I kept getting error message like the rest are saying. the trick for it to work is to have both dry feet on the metal bar and wait til the flashing weight stops then get off the scale. the weight information will then display on the phone with no error message. if you get off the scale before the flashing stops you will get the error message...hope it works for u guys.

I only got it to work correctly one time. All the other times I get an error message. I like the easy way it read and shows you in chat what your weight, Bmi and other things are. But, it wi not work consistently so you can have an accurate reading. Please fix this cause this is causing your sales and star rating to go down and I can see it could be a good system. However, it is just an overpriced scale.

Without the app, scale is basically useless, you cannot change from kg to lbs or use any of the other measurements it is supposed to provide. And their app is only built for older versions of Android phones so it will not works with newer phones, such as a Samsung S10. So I have a scale that is useless. If you want to be in the technology world, you need to keep all of it up to date so people can use it! Ridiculous. Beware!

Edit: I love how the second I left a bad review, the Bluetooth connected 😂 also, the idiots that put the back piece on offset it so the unit button/tab on the back was not actually making contact with the button on the scale. Too much work imo Absolutely waste of money😡 stupid device will not connect to Bluetooth and the unit button to change to pounds won't work. Too bad you can't see these reviews before purchasing. Don't waste your time or money!!!!

Scale works, but it does not connect to Samsung health for Android phones, and I was ensured it would. It doesn't even give the option to link the apps. I'm kind of annoyed by that. It has a lot less functions than it advertised.

Terrible. Bought this 12/24/19. It will not bluetooth sync to newer android phones. I have a Galaxy S10. Appears to be a common problem. It will sync to phones with older operating systems. Had an S6, it did sync to, however it still will not change Kg to pounds on scale display, only converts inside app on old S6...software desperately needs update. Would not recommend this product.

Downloaded the app, created an account, hit weigh in, and it works like a charm. even chimes on phone when scale detects weight and stats. Best app and scale for the money. App and scale does exactly what it was intended to do. Not sure why so many complaints posted here. I would buy another one for family, but it was the last one on shelf.. :((

Not the greatest app, notice weight is does not always seem accurate. I will weigh myself twice and get slightly different weights. Does not seem like a lot of folks read the instructions, if getting "Impendence error" weigh yourself barefooted and place bare feet on metal sensors to get the app to Analyze fat, water and calories. If your are weighing yourself with socks or shoes on, you will only get your weight and BMI. My one issue is scale will not switch to LBS (pounds).

The app no longer connects to the scale. Overall the UI is not very pleasing either. There doesn't seem to be any way to sync data with other fitness apps like MyFitnessPal or Google Fit. Also no way to sync data across devices. This seems like an MVP that never got any further updates.

Worked the 1st time I set it up. Now all I get is the weight and "impedance error" even though it is set up the same and correctly. No point to having this not-so-smart scale bc you can literally see the weight without the app. Such a waste of money.

if you read the manual that came with it, it actually shows how to fix the impedance error. it worked for me when I set the settings on cm/kg instead of in/lb. if you prefer the lb settings, you can always tap to change it when you analyze the results.

I want to start by saying thank you to Elena Dickenson For her comment that helped me find "the button"[Unit] That changes the kg in to lb display on your SCALE that is not Directed in the manual?¿¡☆☆Now if you turn over your scale There is a sticker on the back of the scale on the top, Now if you rub your fingers across the sticker on the《right side end》of the sticker {Or rip Sticker off} you will feel it pushes in THAT IS THE BUTTON. Now you have to press it hard, to Switch it over...

Everything works like it says. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone, open app and long in, weigh yourself barefoot with feet on the metal sensors and when the scale flashes tap analyze. Super easy, no issues. As with any scale make sure you have it on hard flooring not carpet.

the scale connected easily to my phone, and i was able to create my profile and log my weight and BMI, but it didn't show any other info and i get an impedance error. maybe just a bug, but i hope a fix comes out soon!

The app works fine but it is really creepy that it won't work without allowing access to photos and contacts. Considering uninstalling but it may be too late. The worst part is needing the app to change from kg to lb.

Bluetooth on the scale doesnt display and connect to the app on phone. The scale looks nice but unable to change from kg to lb. The app does not capture any information when i step on the scale. Will be returning.

So far the app isn't working correctly . I was only able to receive all of my stats only once and no the app gives my a notice that the connection failed even though there isn't anything wrong with my phone . The scale only weighs in kilos but even if I put my weight in using kilos the app still doesn't work.

Never worked correctly. Would receive the same error message others have mentioned. Finally stopped working all together. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still nothing. Won't pair with bluetooth. A very disappointing waste of money.

What a waste of time and money. I immediately returned the scale to the store and will not purchase sharper image products that require useless apps that aren't supported. It's a shame, they used to have quality products.

The scale connected when I first got it but now it won't connect. It tells me it couldn't pair and check the settings for the device. My advice save your money because you cant even convert it without the app smh.

I really like this app and think anyone that leave low stars just don't understand how to use. The scale is set to kg however once you connect your phone to the scale click weigh in and your weight will log in lbs. Once you see your weight touch save to save your current weight to your history. I find very easy and convenient to use and a sense of privacy since the scale show weight in kg. I have a Samsung Galaxy s9 plus

Horrible app. Worked okay and connected at first with older Galaxy S8+. But scale automatically changed from lbs back to kg. Now my Galaxy S10 won't connect to change it back to lbs and app is apparently outdated for my Android version.

Broken app, judt like everyone else stated. Each time I step onto the scale, the app reads "impendance error." It uploads only my weight onto the app, which is useless, as I could simply avert my eyes to the scale itself to view that.
