Shaw's Deals & Rewards

Last update broke the app. This app is an absolute nightmare. I don't know where the design team learned their craft, but they learned it wrong. Everything is so hard to get to, getting to certain pages is an absolute maze, and takes several steps instead of a single button like it should be. And now the team has rendered this app useless. It will no longer load past the first screen. It's pathetic that multi BILLION dollar business can't get this app working properly.

Not sure what star to give I loved the app until this week. A little challenging to get use to the new layout because I don't like change but this week I missed all the flyer deals because the app would not bring them up to clip. It only brought up deals from the monthly flyer not the weekly one. I tryed talking to the online experts to fix and they just wanted to transfer me to other people. So until they fix it I will not be shopping at shaws. My daughters and niece are having the same issue.

Reply to devs: What part of "Permissions, INCLUDING LOCATION, are disabled" was unclear?! || Last few days I've been getting notifications that this app is tracking my location?! What the HELL is that about?? Permissions, INCLUDING LOCATION, are disabled so how is this possible? More importantly is WHY? This is an absolute intrusion. Fix this immediately.

I can't even get into the app at this point. Access denied is the message that I get. I had to.speak to someone to get the site itself working again via email but all I'm told about the app is that there are problems. I'll say

prices are high, just like everyone else. But....when they have deals, they're good sales. Not only that, so far in every experience I have had myself with shopping here is, everything is just fresh! they offer certain things that other markets don't offer and vice versa. I enjoy shopping in stores or online. I also just moved to a new location and I'm hoping that I have the same experience at new locations as well!..

I downloaded this app while shopping yesterday, and all it does is display a blank white screen that says Shaw's at the top and a back arrow at the top left. When I tap "back", it exits the app. I have tries this multiple times, both in store and at home, with the same results every time. This is not a functional app. I will be removing it.

Everything is great. Always sad when the app shows out-of-stock items as available, but that's understandable, I think. I wish there was a filter for allergens! Would make things easier to search, if I were able to filter out "contains: milk" or something, instead of having to click on every product to check.

Always tracking location? I have given this app NO permissions yet I constantly get notifications that "Safeway is tracking your location. Click to stop"...... what??? If I had shut off receiving notifications at all I wouldn't even have known this was happening. I just want a paper flyer mailed to me (closest store is 45 minutes away) and not feel like I 'have to use the app' .... I'm just going to delete it again and reboot..... Albertsons - please dont ask me to click on the FAQS page.

AWFUL App. I know I will get the same blanket template response they've given to every other critical review. The app refuses to authenticate my account despite multiple attempts. When the app isn't a complete dumpster fire, it's UI is completely unintuitive. You have to literally scroll and click every coupon. They do this on purpose to trick you to pay full price instead of a "clip all" choice. Oh and if you work there hope you don't forget to CLIP your associate discount or else you're SOL.

For at least a week now, this app has not let me sign in. It's always "technical difficulties" and I do check back later as it instructs, but the results are the same. I've tried using phone # & email. I updated the app 3 days ago. No change. When the app *is* working, the pharmacy tab is very limited, and does not include the option to check the status of my prescriptions, which would be the main reason I'd want this app in the first place.

I keep getting a notification that the app is tracking my location, despite the fact that I have no permissions enabled for the app (including location). Even if the app were great, which it's not, I wouldn't keep it for that reason alone.

I'm not getting weekly deals anymore. Though neighbor are getting them normally. I'm the only one who has fresh pass, so I feel double scammed. I transferred a new prescription and no gift card. Also the deal for Starbucks is absolutely useless in my area as no stores have one. The search is atrocious and you have several places to search for one thing.

Great, just can't find my points. I've navigated everywhere I could go, and can find how many rewards I have and how to redeem them, but not how many points I have and need to earn more rewards. Please help? Also nothing in app to send feedback or get help? Otherwise great improvements over the past year.

I'm not a network safety expert or anything but I have never had my phone specifically warn me about an app trying to track me. When it popped up it referred to it as Safeway Shaw's or something.. and it asked me if I wanted to stop it from tracking me my location. I should have taken a screenshot. Considering no other app has ever triggered this warning before, I just find this very concerning.

This app design is terrible. Navigating in the app has become such a challenge, before I go to the store I just clip every single deal coupon so I don't have to open in the store. Now I can't use it at all because the update gets hung up and it won't let me access the app until I complete the update. Might be worth shopping somewhere new.

This app is great! I find it super easy to navigate, view the weekly ad, clip deals, and use rewards. Came here to write a review because I especially LOVE the new "meal plans" feature!! Being able to view a recipe, then have the app add all the essential ingredients to my cart at once helps immensely before shopping. I've never done delivery so I can't comment on that, but pickup was pain-free when I did that. This app integrates well with the store so everything can be done on my phone.

"Safeway is tracking your location" This week, I have woken up at 6A to this notification. I've gotten it while at my child's school. While sitting at my work desk. I have never given permission for you to track my location; I should not have to revoke permission when I notice that you're breaking my boundaries and tracking me anyways. If you need to track location, ASK FOR PERMISSION WHEN THE APP IS INSTALLED.

Just offer the best price, always and to everyone. Stop making loyal customers play games to get fair pricing and decent deals on basic necessities such as food and healthcare products. This is insane. Also about 1/3 of the offers are not redeemable due to insufficient stock/product availability at my local store.

You need to change the underlying safeway component so that we can control location services. It does not follow what is set on the Shaws app. I do not allow location unless app is in use.

I have tried to sign into this app several times and it keeps saying having technical difficulties check back later. I have Uninstaller and reinstalled the app several times too. It was working until I signed out and tried to sign back in. I'm Super annoyed.

Since your recent update the app constantly crashes when you're to editing &/or creating a shopping list PLEASE FIX. It's horrible!

I have enjoyed using my shaws for u app but now cannot access it. I need to be able to get into it. Last week I missed out on my shaws for u savings Having problem getting into Shaws for u app still. Now have to put in phone number then they send me a number via email. I don't get the email. Before just tapped on app icon & my the app opened. So don't know what I can do

4/1/22Update: stupid app forced ipdate when i needed it at the store. App updates even if you don't want to. Couldn't use app in store when I needed it bc of update. Poor programming. update: had to leave groceries because I couldn't clip digital coupon!!!

I initially rated the new app upgrade one star. However, that app has had significant functionality improvements over the last six months. Good job devs for listening and ironing out many of the bugs. Much more user friendly again.

keeps asking me to shop online or fir pick up. NO. maybe time to change stores. This is a repetitive issue.

I hate this app. You would think it would be more functional than the website but it isn't. That was then (September 2021), this is now. What an improvement. Instead of assuming everyone wants to create a shopping list, the main page takes you right to the option you last used, while making it easy to switch to a different one. Two clicks and I'm exactly where I want to be. Now better than the website.

THIS APP IS THE WORST! Shaw's has put ZERO effort into designing this app because they know you don't have another option. You have to use their app to clip coupons and they make it IMPOSSIBLE to find coupons. Every week they publish FOR U coupons for special sale items. They do not list these special coupons in one section on the app, they make you search for each FOR U coupon hidden among the hundreds of coupons. It is like they don't want you to use them. PUT ALL THE FOR U COUPONS ON 1 PAGE!

Descent app. But incomplete, you still have to login to your email account to "cut" / clip/ select" your (weekly)coupons; "Just 4U" deals. The app. Can be buggy especially if you are using a VPN... Overall it's ok.

It's a great way for shaws to screw customers. First it limits discounts to many fewer customers. Then half the coupons don't work. Today I had 5 items with coupons, only one worked. I also spent $54 but the $5 off $50 didn't work either. It's not a problem, it's what always happens, and have a Market Basket with 15% better prices, is cleaner and has better quality. Even the cashiers agree that the app sucks.

The ap hides the weekly coupons and makes you search deeper for the current week deals. What you see first is the items you usually buy, so they use it as a deflection to not save you money, but yo take more money from you.
