She Reads Truth

Edit: They finally listened, but not really. It took 7 attempts to finally get their update to load properly 4/18/22 and the app has all the functionality it's supposed to, but is missing others now. Buggy as heck and worse since update. I've emailed them multiple times over the years about the same issues, and they fixed some this time but now it constantly logs you out and crashes and it's just worse. Refusing to load new studies and constantly losing progress and refusing to load days.

I love the content, but find the app frustrating. I purchase plans and everyday I have to Uninstall and reinstall the app, as it opens the reading on the previous day's reading, and I can't go back to the list to open today's reading. This issue was fixed until about a week ago, when the app just crashes and all I get is a critical error.

So disappointing. Can't get the app to work on my android. Please make fixing this a priority. I also get 2 icons when installing. It used to work but now I can't get past the flashing icon - that's if I can even get past the network error message. Don't like web version as I get sent to a different site to read scripture and all my notes are in the SRT app. I've switched to Daily Grace Co. app for on the go studies - spending too much time and frustration trying to get this to work.

When it works, this app is wonderful. The content is helpful and the artwork is beautiful. However, it seems to not work more than it does work. There was an update sometime the end of September and since then the app crashes ever time I try to click the "read now" button on the main screen. If I try to select the current plan under the "my plans" tab is crashed as well. I hope you can get it fixed. Until then, I'm reading it online and saving the few dollars.

Insanely buggy for Android. I had this app about a year ago and absolutely loved it. It's beautiful and the plans are amazing. I deleted it because of how buggy it was, and redownloaded now in hopes it improved... No such luck. It keeps crashing and becoming unresponsive within seconds of opening. It's so bad that I cant load my purchased plans without it crashing. So irritating! Reading reviews I see I'm not the only one this is happening to. Please fix this!! I want to use this app so bad!!

This Bible reading and devo app is pretty good. The content is fairly good quality. My biggest problem with it is on the reading plans- when I mark each day as read, sometimes when I go back to the list of the days, all of the preceding days have been unchecked! Sometimes I have opened the plan and no days are checked, so unless I remember the title of the day before (unlikely) I have to open a few and figure it out. It's very annoying and also a very basic function of the app. Like the main function.

The bar down the bottom that let's you flick between the screens is so glitchy and annoying and just doesn't want to work. It takes forever to change what book I'm in and I accidentally tap on something and it takes ages for it change and then I have to change it back. I have gotten some really goof reviews for this app and I really want to enjoy it. But it just isn't. Please fix it

Couldn't get past the login. I tried to set up an account but it kept telling me there was a network connection issue. Everything else on my phone was working fine but I decided to turn off WiFi and try it that way. Same result. So I went to the website and signed up there. When I went back to the app to login to my newly created account, it told me the password was wrong. It definitely wasn't because I had just set it up and made note of the password I used. I tried resetting the password but there was no link in the app to do so. I reset it on the website and tried again. App still said it was wrong. I tried the old password but nope, still wrong. Finally, I gave up and uninstalled. Please make your app actually functional--it's such a gorgeous app that it's a shame it doesn't work.

7/1/19 I love the idea of this app. Had trouble with it a long time ago and was told to uninstall/reinstall. That worked, but then it got really buggy...couldn't download lockscreens, text not a consistent size, etc. Did an uninstall/reinstall hoping that would fix it, but it actually made it worse. Now there's an error for signing in through Facebook so I can't even log in. 11/14/19 Edit: I contacted She Reads Truth. They said they were working on it. It's been over 4 months with no solution.

UPDATE: I keep checking back every few months to see if there has been any improvement/development on the Android side of this app, sadly they seem to not be putting any resources towards allowing us Android users. ----‐--- The app will not let me subscribe, and there is no troubleshooting. It just says error every time. I even tried restarting my phone and uninstalling then reinstalling the app and still nothing. When you click on the contact option it doesnt give you a real address to email.

This review is based on the performance of the app. I love She Reads Truth, however, their app is largely catered to iOS users. Previously I had an iPhone and the app worked great. I've had the Android app for a year now and have waited for improvements. I wish to become a subscriber but am unable to. Each time I click "Become a Subscriber" I receive an "error" message. I have also selected the options available to send them an email with my feedback and find that they do not work either.

Since the update it has been frustrating! I lost all my formerly purchased plans, the Bible portion is painfully slow and frequently links to the wrong passage! I'm so sad I updated! The last version was better than this one. Looking to delete (bc everything is gone anyways!) And find a new app that works. Looks like people have been having issues since the Aug2018 update. Disappointing.

Wonderful content but the app itself doesn't function well in Android (Samsung Galaxy). I do not get reminders (and I do have it set correctly to get reminders)... I can only access paid plans (I can't see any free ones)... And the layout on the plans page has pictures overlapping words. Also the "contact us" /app feedback buttons which should link to an email address just opens up my email with "undefined" in the address line. Please fix as I love the content!

I LOVE the app, but it has a lot of bugs. App crashes when attempting to view additional comments replying to a comment, crashes when I click to reply to a comment, comments are not in real time (many say a few sec ago permanently), can't share the image at the end of the devo, can't save the image at the end of the reading to use as a lock screen (as suggested). App works for reading the devotionals, and that's about all. For ref, I have a Samsung S10.

The app doesn't work correctly! Every day when I go to open up the daily reading, it won't load and the app crashes! I have to then uninstall it and reinstall it and sometimes it will work. This is very frustrating, as I couldn't finish the One Another Bible study because day 9 would never open. Currently I am unable to open the Advent studies!

App doesn't work from the moment it is installed. First, It installed 2 copies of it. Neither copy gets past the logu on. Constantly says email/password are incorrect or it times out. Also times out when proceed without account option is selected. May end up cancelling subscription box due to this as it ruins the overall experience. Would give zero stars if it was possible. Do not recommend.

I used to love this app but it hardly works anymore. I uninstalled and reinstalled it to see if that would help with no success. There are two icons for the app on my phone. When I try to login I can't type in my email address. I got into the app finally as a guest user but can't login to restore my purchases. I'm super disappointed because this app was awesome when I first got it.

I love the company and the podcasts but this app just isn't doing it for me. The daily readings are fine, but I can't get the "become a subscriber" link to work (I've tried multip6tines over several months incase an update fixed it), I can't share the image in the daily readings. I'll keep using it but I can't give more stars until the developer issues are fixed.

The app has alot of potential but when I tried to purchase the subscription that you have to have to access the apps features it gave me and error message when I tried to go through the app to contact SRT it gave me an error message when I finally found their email address and emailed them my issues they basically told me to just use the website. Very frustrating!!

I love She Reads Truth, but recently started having trouble with the app. It shows up twice in my app drawer (even after uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing the cache) and now I'm not able to download the lock screens. I'm hopeful it'll be fixed soon. The community post section after each daily reading is also not great. Comments and replies are not grouped together, which makes it very hard for any discussion and can be quite confusing to engage with.

I used to love this app but the recent update has never worked. I mostly have issues with the Bible part of the app. I wish the old version was still available. Edit: I've spent more time trying to use this updated version and it's terrible. It never goes to the chapter you select and forget about copy/paste/highlight or other annotation. If it were possible I would seek a refund for all of the plans I've ever purchased, because I will no longer use SRT as my Bible app unless they show a little more care to the product they put out.

I really like the studies and services that She Reads Truth offers, but I feel like they need to get some people to work on this app. I uninstalled it for a season because it's so buggy. I cannot even become a subscriber because every time I try there is an error. I really enjoy the plans so I don't mind paying for them. But this app freezes all the time. :( Please continue to improve it. I want to use it!

UPDATE: looks like subscriptions are working on Android now!! Like many, many others, this app is not worth it. You can read the Bible on it, but forget about accessing plans or subscribing. I did get an email response which said "we know there's a problem with the android app, you can always use our website for free, and try updating" (no recent updates). For now, I put a shortcut to the website on my homescreen instead. It's not a perfect solution, but it's something.

Can't create an account it jumps to last name and password and since the contact page isn't filled out completely it doesn't allow you to continue. Can't use the feedback email, comes up as undefined. I have an Android Samsung galaxy. I see I have all the same complaints as the other Android users. Just deleted the app. I don't need the aggravation.

I used to love this app. But about 8 months ago the app basically almost stopped working. I had years of saved and highlighted verses and notes, and then the app crashed and erased them all...years of memories and verses and sermon notes gone. The app now crashes all the time (I have android), even though its updated several times, it doesn't save. Its so sad, as this app used to be amazing and I was able to easily use it along side my she reads bible. Hopefully they can fix the app.

Love this app. Really appreciate the neatly organised, minimalist, visually appealing & intuitive nature of it, with in-depth/well thought out plans and community resource to help. Love the concept of the daily community bible reading and encouragement. I'm facing some technical issue with scrolling/viewing for my longer notes, however, and would definitely love the app even more if there were some way of exporting notes/reflections! Otherwise, definitely 5/5!

Also, sometimes the reading plans I've purchased won't let me go to the next day's reading. Very glitchy.
