Love this launcher, there's tons more features than you initially see, and what's best is it's really easy to write your own scripts (with no boring UI code!). One thing that could be improved on, is some optional touch-feiendly features, to speed up every day usage, as typing is slower than just tapping something you use regularly.
I love it, especially for the novelty. I'd still like to see some extra functionality on the interface, especially configurable. Being able to see the text of an sms on the interface, notifications, etc would make this a legitimate competitor rather a neat and well made novelty.
Absolutely love the app! Hope to see future development! I would love to see the ability to set custom names for apps (Example: Have Chrome show up as Browser). I know you can do the alias command, but that doesn't change what it shows up as. The other feature I'd like to see is some gesture options. So we can do like pinch out to open Google Now or something.
Very enjoyable experience. I love the potential for personalization and I love how fluid the UI feels, however I've had a problem out of it. The app crashed after experimenting with some config lines and I haven't been able to get it to work properly since without crashing. I hope to figure it out soon because it's a very solid and enjoyable UI.
Amazing app. For me it makes navigating my apps so fast and easy. The best thing about the app is simply it's free. No ads. No annoying messages asking for money. No payment walls for feature. Simple install and all is there for free. You don't see that much these days. Only issue is the domain name for the themes is expired.
Very solid, having a console as your launcher makes things for me too natural. My only nitpicking would be to include a ctrl shortcut much like termux has, as once I tried to ping an IP straight from the launcher and I couldn't stop, as I normally would with ctrl+c. Also trying to play music straight from the console made it stop responding and/or resetting, but that could be blamed on the phone I think. This is no replacement for termux, but for what it is, it's pretty solid.
Awesome app. Have been using this for more than a month now and has made my phone usage alot faster. This was the case until my phone updated to android 10 which had the new intuitive gestures which are pretty addictive. But the thing is, this app doesn't support gestures. And setting this default removes gesture controls. I would love to start using this again with android 10
Overall a great change from boring cluttered graphical home screens. You can reach your apps with a character or two on your keyboard instead of looking through folders and menus. It is slightly clunky and often reloads itself several times when I open it, but that doesn't take more than a few seconds.
Wonderful work. At first, I installed this as a joke just because it sounded ridicoulus, but this has been my daily driver for more than 2 years now. Extremely flexible and extends way beyond the standard home screen in terms of functionality. Not to mention completely open-source. Definetely worth to check out!
Ridiculously good app. So little to complain about. It just works. Not exaclty simple though, for those people just looling for a "cool launcher". Unlike most launchers that try to make a device more produtive, or add tools, this one is actually very useful (alias make things super fast) Also deters unwanted and unknowledgable friends and such messing with your phone 😂
Best launcher. Been using it for 3 years and I no longer look back at GUI launcher. This is minimalist and simple; I don't have to worry about changing wallpapers, installing icon packs, customizing widgets, installing live wallpapers and all that. The default solid Amoled background is dope and used throughout, customization is a few lines of text away and it saves battery. If you do miss the feel of icons having a sidebar launcher like Meteor Swipe, Omniswitch or something else works wonders
It worked just fine in the beginning but then all of the different Settings windows from each of the settings links began to feel sticky and harder to close . I had to press the Close window button down twice to close the window. My Android. with the latest 8.0 update was working very smoothly and quick, before I installed this App.?? Also the cursor on this screen here feels very sticky and is bareley visible as I type here.
it's a really cool launcher and it's really easy to use. I just think it would be a cool addition to make notifications show up in the prompt EDIT: I said this when I first got the launcher but just after a full day of using it and starting to feel more at ease in it I have explored the config settings and boy am I happy. The possibilities are endless. You can do so much with this launcher. It is the most amazing thing ever. I would say more but there's a limit. Must have this!!!!! Recommended!!
If you're tired of waiting for your brain to associate the app you want to launch to its name amidst the sea of colour in your app drawer, then this is the launcher for you. It may sound counterintuitive, but the combination of typing and autocomplete means app launches are way faster than in conventional launchers. The most customisable of the text launchers I've used.
great piece of software. super minimal, fast as hell. not a fully featured terminal emulator but author did fantastic job making it into what it is considering the limitations of Android. highly recommend. customization is a bit finicky (as one would expect from anything terminal related, all settings are in config files) but the launcher comes fully functional out of box, and author has fairly decent documentation available.
It's absolutely phenomenal! I do feel like I'm interacting with an Unix-like system. I love how minimalistic, yet customizable it is. Also, it makes my phone go a little bit faster. I love the fact that it gives you information about the phone such as battery status and how many times it has been unlocked. I also love that you have included GNU/Linux commands. You have done a wonderful job with this launcher; you've earned 5 stars and my respect. Really, thank you very much for creating this!
i love this launcher so so much!! everything is customisable, almost to a frightening extent! making a cohesive and personal theme is a challenge but absolutely worth it! shortcuts (aliases) are so easy to use, and im still finding new ways to use them! a shame its not so regularly updated anymore, but as long as it exists i will be using it!!
Its been three months only, but i love the app. Except for a failure to play music; every time i execute the music -play cmd, it crushes, please help me fix this problem, my android version is 9pie. Otherwise, good staff, expecting more better features, thanks.
Great app, but there is green text that appears everytime you open the app, even when i clear the screen, this is so annoying. Make it so it will dissapear after a few times. And the top part is not that great, its blocking my view from the terminal itself, The top part is unnecessary. And my experience using terminal with virtual keyboard is not that great. I'd rather use physical keyboard to use a terminal. But, great app though!
Whenever I input "yes" it kinda crashes, dunno if there's a fix, also, it'd be nice to have the tutorials or help offline rather than going to github all the time. Overall the launcher is amazing, it even counts the number of times you've unlocked the phone. Great job guys👍
I use this launcher for my BlackBerry Keyone and I've not had any problems at all over the last few months. Blackberry launcher was incredibly heavy and noticeably zapped my phones performance after the update to Oreo, but as soon as I installed this Linux CLI launcher I began noticing subtle improvements in the time it takes to launch apps, switch between apps or close apps. I highly recommend this with the caveat being that you need to have some familiarity with CLI but even that is minimal due to the incredibly thorough documentation provided. Major kudos to the app dev, cheers!
A very great app fun usage with my phone the launcher is pretty much on point maybe a bit more customizing like command prompt style or terminal style or powershell style would be great ,even tho its slightly slower to open apps using this launcher definitely not a boring old way ..
The coolest home launcher by far, great job on everything and the up keep as well, it turns your phone into a straight forward and easy to use command line and then some. although it would be even cooler if i could figure out how to set my root or so title to my own instead of the one given to us.
I thought this would be funny for a few days, but I actually fell in love. No more getting lost in icons, I can do everything I need more directly and efficiently. I've been using this launcher for a few months now, only problem is that sometimes shortcuts are not found, which is fixed by the refresh or restart command. Awesome interface for people comfortable with bash!
This app is exactly what I didn't know I needed. Having the physical keys on my BlackBerry KeyONE make using this launcher an optimal experience. I know longer look for anything. ANYTHING. It all has a shortcut. Any task is keystrokes away. Obviously it takes time to get your setup perfectly dialled. But it's honestly really fun to setup and completely worth it in the end.
